Not sure what you are talking about?
The Kelvin Timeline Assault Drones (Which were in fact in the movie) You see them for only a split second.
Dreadnought class. Two times the size, three times the speed. Advanced weaponry. Modified for a minimal crew. Unlike most Federation vessels, it's built solely for combat.
Nice space Barbie. Found them to be competent enough, hardly particularly exciting though. There's better ships really.
Well, better in terms of cost yes. I look at the prices for the Vengeance on the Exchange and the lowest is around 307 million EC... which yea, is expensive. But in terms of specs and whatnot? From what I see and hear, the Vengeance and AU T6 Connie are amazing, matched only by a few ships in certain areas. In the case of Vengeance, the Arbiter stacks up pretty well against it, as do the T6 Scimitars (or at least the Tactical one).
From looking at specs, the D4x also seems like one of the best BoPs out there, especially with its weapons layout, pilot maneuvers (barrel roll! XD), console and special trait. And the Romulan ship... well... okay, not the best carrier in the world.
But, this is just my opinion on specs and what I have heard from people who have them (I'm not rich, so I don't have any of them :P)
And the Romulan ship... well... okay, not the best carrier in the world.
As of right now it is the only carrier exclusive for Romulans. It's also one of the only two Rom ships to have full intel seating, the other being the Faeht. Regardless of what anyone thinks of it, it's why it's considered to be a big deal for some players and why it's so expensive on the exchange. Another reason is because of the low supply due to nobody wanting to open Kelvin boxes on their Roms.

Yea, its value is at least in it being the only Romulan carrier and its rarity. I am sorry if I offended you or something; I have never flown the T'laru, but from just examining the T'laru's stats, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't the best carrier out there
But if you've flown the T'laru, I would be very interested in hearing what you think of it, and maybe sharing your build with anyone else who has one

Hey, don't worry about it. You didn't offend me at all. It'd be silly to be offended over nothing. (Don't worry about assuming it though. Found out yesterday that the jumping I do whenever I try to get anywhere in-game could actually annoy people.) I was merely putting a little bit of trivia out there is all.
I don't actually have one. Vengeance was my priority. Konnie was 2nd and D4x was 3rd on my want list. I didn't have enough ec for the T'laru. Maybe one day I'll get one. Perhaps when the price settles down when it gets rolled into the next infinity lockbox.
Thank you, OP. This corroborates pretty much every review I've seen on the new Kelvin Timeline ships. I want both of them even more now. And the D4X on the KDF side. That thing looks like hilarious fun to fly.

Once I do get the Vengeance for my AoY character though, I will probably try to get the D4x- my other 2 fed characters are fine in their ships (both of them are Tac; my main character is flying around a Command Battlecruiser (it actually isn't half bad, though the Presidio's BOff seating could be better) and the other Tac is happily flying in a Fleet Arbiter), and my Romulan Engineer is fine in her Kara

Aww you're welcome. I'm happy my thread made you want to get them even more now.
I would also highly recommend taking a look at the other builds in this thread. They're expensive to create, but they are well worth the ECs and dil you put into getting them.

Does anyone have any builds for a D4x? I'm just curious to see how people have kitted it out, especially since the D4x is the only BoP with full Pilot abilities (Kor can't do barrel rolls)
so what are the negatives of these ships? nothing is perfect, so any review that does not acknowledge the negatives in it's discussion is unrealistic and not worth much
Negatives? Well, they don't really have much in the way of negatives that I can see
unfortunately that makes your review pretty much worthless. anyone who is so blinded by fanboyism that they cannot honestly acknowledge and describe the negatives of a product cannot give useful feedback.
I'm not blinded by anything. I gave feedback, provided builds and did everything I could to the best of my ability. Why don't you go find another thread that meets your special criteria if you don't like it? Simple.
Lol Yeah you are totally blinded by your fanboyism. The review is not a review at all. The game is being taken over by the Trek reboot fanboys. The game is becoming less about Trek and more about Hollywood TRIBBLE. Sucks that Trek is in the hands of these scrubs.
Guys, guys, remember all the stuff in the reboot films are tucked away in the Kelvin Timeline- they didn't retcon the Prime timeline, what with the new series in the Prime universe coming soon (or at least, I heard it was taking place in the Prime universe). While I personally don't like the reboot films as films (I haven't seen Beyond yet I heard it was good though, I need to see it), I respect their lore since, for all it's holes and mistakes, it is canon only for the Kelvin Timeline (or Alternate Universe). Soooo...we can just keep the reboot film franchise where we keep the Mirror Universe and all the alternate realities in Star Trek

I don't think the OP is being a fanboy- the KT ships (especially the Vengeance) are really powerful, high performing ships. I am certainly not a "KT Fanboy" but from what I have observed and heard, the only downside to them could be seating (some think the Vengeance could be better with a Commander Tactical instead of Engineering, but I think it is alright, since the Commander Engineering station has integrated Intel seating and so I could slot a useful Intel ability like Transport Warhead or something in place of some less-useful Engi power), their lack of frigate pets (the Vengeance could have made use of a frigate pet, but it is fine with the Assault Drones, while the T'laru is really hampered by not being able to use a frigate pet), their price, and their limited customization, but otherwise the KT ships (except the Romulan one- while it is decent, it is nowhere near the best carrier) are really good ships
*Edit: I made a mistake, the T'laru can in fact utilize the Romulan Drone firigate pets. And on further examination, the T'laru actually seems to be a really good carrier

I'm not entirely sure so if anyone who has one can confirm or deny this I'd appreciate it, but I remember seeing somewhere that the T'laru can use the Romulan Drones. Those are pretty much one of the best hangar pets in the game. T'laru is up there with the best carriers imo. (I mean in terms of true carriers with two hangar bays.) I find it puzzling to see someone look at the stats, call it decent, and say that it doesn't even come close with the best carriers. What did you want out of it? What would you change?

You are absolutely right.
The T'Laru can indeed use Romulan Drones, the only caveat is you have to also own one of the T5 or T6 Scimitar Variants in order to unlock them for purchase. If you do, then you can absolutely use Romulan Drones with the T'Laru.
4 Tactical consoles, 4 Science Consoles, 3 Universal stations, access to the best pets in the game, and access to Intel and Temporal skills.. the T'Laru is an excellent carrier. Honestly, I don't know how someone would think otherwise.

And a really decent turn rate of 8.5 considering its size and other carrier turn rates. Thanks for the confirm on the Romulan Drones. I hope it drops near 300m-ish in the next infinity lockbox.
Trek always has been and always will be in control of Hollywood. Gene never owned Trek, and it wouldn't have mattered if he had since all he really cared about was making money and getting laid.
You talk about others being "fanboys" when you are showing yourself to be exactly that by acting as if there was ever any more noble purpose for Trek than making money.

Cry more Jarfaru, I'm sure we'll care eventually.

Thank you, and I apologize to everyone in this thread. The T'laru is actually an amazing carrier it seems
So now each ship from the KT Lockbox is confirmed to perform very well, on par with the best ships in their respective classes... no wonder they are so expensive XD
I can squeak a bit more raw dps out of the vengeance, but theyre both very very good and hellafun to boot. I love the const. Beta nacelles & type 0 material on the connie, I primarily fly that one for now just cuz it looks awesome. You can use the dread material on the connie too (and i think vice versa) but didnt really appeal to me.
I'm thinking of outfitting my D4x as a proton + protonic polaron boat in honor of its native proton charges console .
Interesting... I was thinking if I were to ever acquire a D4x, I would equip it with a cannon-turret-torpedo boat, with either disruptor (because I think they look nice) or antiproton (because of extra DPS, though I tried utilizing a full Antiproton build before and it went horribly, so I don't know)

Don't forget to use the Voth weapon set from the Dyson rep
As for the Vengeance, I tried it as a DBB boat, and while that is all fine and good, I decided to try and go for DHCs, since like I said in my original post, it has the tactical slots for it, unlike the Galaxy-X. While I like the Galaxy-X, the Vengeance is honestly one of my best ships. I put it up there with my Defiant and Avenger in terms of ships I like to do STF queues in.
Dreadnought class. Two times the size, three times the speed. Advanced weaponry. Modified for a minimal crew. Unlike most Federation vessels, it's built solely for combat.

Also make sure to get a Dual Heavy Cannon with the [Arc] modifier- even if you filled all your engi consoles with Enhanced RCS Accelerators, having a wider firing arc would still help you
