I'm finding the Chronos more thug than beast - it's a good pugilist, no doubt, but when you have a couple 5/3s (arbiter, vengeance) to compare to, it's just serviceable as a directed energy beat-em-up platform. I need to spend more time tinkering with Temporal boffs/abilites though.
The Eternal though... Good gravy, that thing throws death magic chiseled straight from the darkest stones of Sto'vo'kor. You barely need to pull the trigger- it literally HATES ENEMIES TO DEATH. Causal anchor click and then flying into the convergence point and hitting inverted Tractor Beam Repulsors is both hilarious and fatal.
I mean, it's the first T5 ship to hit the C-Store since T5-U became a thing, and it has a T6 in the store right out of the gate, so it was probably done this way to encourage T6 sales, and it makes sense.
Dumb question can the tier 6 be made to look like the tier 5?
If you have the T-5 version yo can swap skins in the ship customization dealer at any shipyard.
My AOY toon is LVL60 and has leveled up the T-6 Excelsior and is now working the T-6 Vorgon event ship up. Have all the TOS style ships and will soon have the T-6 versions for that toon as well. That way I can swap out the skins and have a sleeper. Yeah for those of you too young to have lived during the Muscle car era a sleeper was a pretty much lame base line model but uprated with all kinds of goodies. In other words it looked like grandmas church car but was anything but.
Mine is in the Krenim ship for now. I put him in the Scryer first, but it just wasn't him. He likes the Krenim ship though. I may still get him a Dauntless.

My fav on the Chronos is dropping Causal anchor, GW and throwin in a Chronometric inversion.... I've also slotted an epic quality Advanced Radiant Quantum from the Iconian set, ans spend 90% of my time immune to damage. My Purple Android Eng doff is trained in Temporal, so that occupies my Hybrid Commander Eng/Temporal seat on the Chronos.
For my Sci girls (they are all female!), it's the Krenim Science T6 from the anniversary event.
