Option to have specific space Visuals turned off by default

I like to switch ships on a regular basis and every time I do I have to switch off the visuals on all my space gear exept the assimilated module (It seems to know I dont like its visuals and turns them off on its own most of the time). Its nice that we have the option to equip alternat gear purly for the visual effect but wouldnt it also be nice to have the option to have visuals turned off by default upon switching ships.

Im curious how many other people swap ships often enough for this to be a problem or if my tendancy to swap ships every few STFs is just a me thing.

    Frustrating, yes! The method to manually turn off your own visuals is definitely inefficient, but at least it is there. Granted, a single checkbox "Option" to permanently disable visuals would be a nice QoL addition.

    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    10 seconds, if that... though it would be nice to be able to use a generic item in the visual slot to act as an "off switch" for visuals... which would leave only the Assimilated console to be turned off manually...

    EDIT: I really do dislike the glowing green zits that console adds to my ship....

    Normally no however considering the turn visuals off button is right net to the discard item button and the buttons are a little too close together I often find myself nearly discarding my rep gear that I spent ages farming to upgrade and even longer farming to get. Very annoying

    You can't accidentally discard gear. There's a confirmation prompt.

    And even if you did, you can get them back from the replicator buyback as long as you haven't switched maps.
