I Quit!! Done with this event.

I am done with this stupid weeks CXP doffing event.

As a solo doffer and the only one in my fleet that does, this event has been a total fail.

So I have make it to 84% of Tier 1
I have probably advanced to higher CXP tiers than most people in the game. But wait! Instead of rewarding the event based on CXP earned, they base it on total doff missions done. Some lame logic there. Also not clear from event description. Other evens usually based on xp earned or getting higher numbers. Who has time to run and find the 15 min to 30 min missions continuously.

I spent $15 dollars upping my doff limit to 300 spaces. I loaded my new aoy toon with all purple doffs. I picked great missions. I played 3 hours each day. How will cryptic reward me next week? Not even likely to reach Tier one? Nothing.

So I will not be participating in any more lame weekly events.

I Quit. Increase ship slots for admiralty, no. More doff packs, no. Just back to playing once every few days.

I also tried to do a new toon, a aoy science, and thanks to their xp bonus I was level 20 by the second mission?? And level 40 in the Klingon arc. Yeah, that makes sense. Glad I am not a new player and know the ship and game mechanics.

Sorry for the rant guys and gals. But cryptic dropping the ball on this aoy thing.

On a positive not I just love the Vengeance. My first and perhaps last lock box ship. Would have been a nice cstore item, but yeah aoy and gamble box. You know about that. Still hoping for a true T6 Connie, but don't think that would happen. Don't get me started on missing rommies and KDF aoy arcs. This post could go on for awhile.

So... you're upset about the repercussions of one part of the event, but then equally upset that you won't enjoy the repercussions of another?

You do realise that the meter moves based on the entire game's TOS Doffing....NOT just yours. The Doff Event has always been a slow mover, rarely has it got above T1.

Now that shameless plug is over :P You know the event was global right and that everyone's character was doing progress towards it? DOFFing is becoming redundant now, Admiralty and R&D are much more efficient and effective

Also why are you moaning about 150% bonus xp? Levelling new toons is such a bore especially when you've done it sooo many times.. I'm glad we got that, I got 2 AOY toons to 60 in under 3 days sooo yeah :P

The meter is global doffing. I heavily Doff.... unfortuneately a lot of people don't do much if any doffing (I do not know why, it's basically free XP for ranking and specialization) so the meter tends to move slow compared to others.

I've been DOFFing on my AoY toon too, though not religiously. It may be redundant now, but it's still exp and some dil, so....yeah.

Seeing as this is his second thread complaining about the same thing...I'd guess no.

It's blatantly obvious someone messed up the meter, again.

First time it didn't move, this time they put the limit too high, I went back to setting up Doff assignments just once a day after it took three whole days to go up 16%, no point in spending hours sitting around increasing my AoY character's unrefined dil pile waiting for Doff assignments to complete.

Meh...

I Doff a lot on all my captains. With the exception of my recently created AoY captain who only has the default Doff slots, all my other captains have either 300 or 400 slots.

I don't pay much attention to the CXP meter. I just do what I do and focus on having fun. Tonight is my final chance to grind Favors so I will probably just park all my captains on Risa and go back to doing normal stuff tomorrow night.

I see a different Problem here:
Cryptic were Setting an - in their opinion - achievable Goal for us. And we didn't even make the first Tier. Just goes to show how little they know about their player base.
I guess they didn't just make up random numbers. They must have estimated how many new characters would be created and how much xp each one can contribute to that Goal. And then make sure they set the Goal quite low so we all get the Feeling we have succeeded at something (at least that's what their previous Events were about).

For me this Signals that their expectations were over the top or this Expansion is a fail. Just something to think about

I maxed doffing over a year ago.

Still worth doing for the fleet marks conversion missions when you hit 10k rep over 100k.

That's how when the 5th trait slots got added I already ad the fleet credit to buy them all. 500k+

Not a lot do but for a player that makes long term plans it's one of the easiest ways to earn a lot of fleet cred

Yeah, I maxed out most of my captains a while ago. However, I am not in a fleet so I have never dropped below 150k.

Oh, look. I'm a "solo" DOffer too, because other than trying to catch a ride on a Tuffli (free security guard if the owner feels like giving it a call), Cell (for Suliban DOffs), or some bridge who's Department Head is offering a rare mission like "Reclaim Borg Drones", DOffing is a solo activity...

Now, do I pull out tinfoil hat and scream "conspiracy" in that Cryptic's copypasta work left a goal that believed we each have 3 Temps (Fed, KDF, Rommie) like Delta "encouraged" us to?

Or do I just think that everyone "Doffed all they wanted" in week 1 and was onto "other content" for CXP week. I know people were chanting how they Doffed a bunch of Temporal stuffs enough to hit 60 within hours of landing in the 25th Century and unlocking DOffing...

And don't blame everyone. I was snaring lots of "science" and "exploration" materials missions and hitting up Eridan Belt to complete it's chain. Sorry that wasn't enough to budge the meter by myself...
