Stop The Nerf on Tarsi.

For some feedback, I think Cryptic should not go through with the impending Nerf on Tarsi (in regards to removing her leadership and teamwork traits, particularly the former) the fact that she had a useful space trait caused me and other players (going by chat channels I'm in) to invest heavily in her in terms of training, rare skill manuals, specializations, etc... to have her as a permanent part of the space-skills bridge crew specifically because she contributed something. With the planned changes, she simply becomes a "dump to the coffee room" officer in the long run because she's not useful for anything but ground duty, lacking any kind of contributing space skill, meaning in the long run your going to wind up replacing her with Boffs with relevant talents as you obtain them. I thought the original intent here in giving her "Leadership" was to have a "buddy" character you could use in all aspects of the game right from the beginning like Toran Khev or Flores.

If Tarsi needs to be changed, she should be given at least one useful space ability such as Accurate or Elusive or something else Andorians can take that contributes to the space game.

Either that or Cryptic should refund everything invested in her to every player. I got off light compared to some of the people I've been talking to. Materials have been invested in Tarsi that likely wouldn't have been used until Romulans could be recruited from an embassy or whatever. This isn't a simple change with little in game repercussions.

Hopefully some of you will join me in this protest in hopes of getting Cryptic to give Tarsi a useful space passive.

It's never made any sense to me that most races don't have a space trait. Every species ought to have one. Instead we have a Federation that makes a display of celebrating diversity, but where you're not supposed to want to be anything but an Earthling.

    Yep, ya got my vote.
Changing her now is a Craptastic idea, They give us a decent 23c BOff and then muck around with it because people are actually using it...

Yeah; my main interest in her is that Leadership passive, too. If that goes away without suitable recompense, so does she.

the easy fix once the nerf on Tarsi is in. Just let tos toons be able to grab Eliza Flores from the academy. problems solved. But this is a practical and logical solution so yea... Never gonna happen.

    I'm torn on this one...

...on the one hand, that would make Tarsi pretty much on par with K'Gan and make her like every other Andorian in the game...

...on the other hand, that would make Tarsi like every other Andorian in the game and she'd be replaced by anything with a Space Trait...

I'd have to go with the OP on this. TOSFed characters don't have access to much (thanks to the weird Binding on issues on 23c. ESD) that differentiates them, and Tarsi is the only 23c. BOff of decent quality. Making her an ordinary Andorian relegates her to Ground-only use, and negates the more interesting Trait arrays the TOS BOffs have at present... while I understand the reasoning behind the change, I'd rather they left her alone.

Is there a source on this? Because that sucks, I was actually having Tarsi learn some fancy Lv III TAC BOFF abilities and I was about to make her a Temporal BOFF.

Apparently Tarsi being a decent boff was a bug and it was already "fixed" on tribble. :'(

Resolved an issue that was causing Tarsi and Skavrin to have incorrect racial Traits that their species does not have access to:

Tarsi has lost Leadership and Teamwork, and now has Fury and Acute Senses.
Skavrin has lost Corrosive Blood and now has Pig Headed.

So yeah....wasted a bunch of spec & skill manuals on a soon to be useless boff. :/

I'm thankful the Skavrin got his trait fixed. But then again I'm a nut about such things.

As my away team are the only Boffs I actually "see" on a regular basis I will be keeping Tarsi even without the leadership trait. That being said, since they nerfed Tarsi, they need to replace her with a different Boff that does have the leadership trait.
My vote would be to replace her with Elizabeth Flores ...... Great, great, great Grandmother of one well known Eliza Flores, who happens to have been named for her, as her 25c descendants still remember and honor her 23c sacrifice as First Officer of the ship that was destroyed in battle while helping three other Starflet ships escape from an overwhelming Klingon force .........
    LTS and loving it.

Leave it to Cryptic to nerf anything remotely useful.
