Jon stands before the console, the fatigue of constant work and little sleep has finally caught up with him.
Acting Captain's log, Stardate Supplemental.
This will be my final entry in this format, for now. Although I feel these events will shape the way my career progresses from this point, I hope my next Captain's Log is breaking in my own ship. The experience was not worth seeing my fellow crewmates go through such suffering.
Our plan was a smashing success. We had targeted the command ship of the enemy group that initially attacked us. This ship was flanked by two other destroyer class ships, making any standard assault unlikely to succeed.
Ensign Nassan hatched a brilliant plan, using beacons emitting a signal that would draw out the escort ships and leave the command ship isolated. We had to gamble on their willingness to spread out, but I put myself in the shoes of their commander, and figured he would send those escorts out to do the dirty work. And that's exactly what they did.
As soon as the destroyed abandoned the command ship, we jammed their comm frequencies, decloaked, and went in full throttle. Lieutenant Commander Shantal made sure we had full power to weapons after I took over Tactical and we went in hot. We caught their commander and crew completely offguard, they didn't even get a shot off until halfway during the battle. Eventually it turned into a back and forth battle, but our early advantage was too much for them. Their commanding officer, Archon J'dok, contacted me in the latter stages. I tried to gather as much information as I could, but he was not interested in conversation. He simply wanted to know the name of the "warrior" who bested him. I gave him a chance to surrender, but he was intent on fighting to the death. I must say, the motivations of this species seemed similar to the Klingons. We had no choice but to destroy his ship.
By this time, the two destroyers had realized what was going on and were speeding toward us. Our temporary cloak was offline, and my forward weapons were offline. Somehow, despite taking a serious injury during the battle, Lieutenant Commander Shantal managed to get power restored to the fore weapons, and after Ensign Nassan gave us a quick warp jump to surprise them, we tore into the destroyers. It didn't matter much, though, as the cavalry arrived shortly after and made short work of them. We transferred the critically wounded to the Endeavour, and are on our way to the Starbase.
Jon runs his hands up and down his face, a bit overwhelmed when he looks back on recent events.
I will be personally filing my recommendations for medals and promotions. I know I'm not the commanding officer, but these people deserve everything and more for what was accomplished here. We were tested to our limits, and we passed with flying colors. We've also got a number of funerals ahead of us. Here's hoping that number doesn't go up anymore.
Due to command requirements for Admiral Honda, I was left to stand in as Acting-Captain of the Ayanami and take command of Task Force Sentry in her absence. We continued our patrol efforts along the Neutral Zone border, and the previous four days have had no significant occurrences, leaving us to focus on restoring the Jeanne d'Arc to full operational capacity and continue the investigation into a number of loose threads in connection to the dead Orion augment in our morgue and the unusual attack on our vessel.
During Alpha shift, Lt. Ragnar Bjornsson was left on conn while I was being updated on Doctor Hazel Qoll's progress in our investigation when the Ayanami received a distress signal from a Gorn vessel across the Neutral Zone. The vessel identified itself as a hatchery ship and claimed a Klingon attack. I ordered the bridge crew to obtain confirmation of the signal, as per our orders from Rear Admiral Kalavek and returned to the bridge.
We were able to obtain an audio connection with the Gorn vessel, identifying itself as the Sjisk, reiterated it's distress signal and requested assistance. I ordered Helm to set course, placed the U.S.S. Calvin on Task Force Command, and ordered the U.S.S. Bradford to assist. The Ayanami was able to reach the location in 20 minutes, the Bradford was an hour out.
Due to local interference, we were a minute out before we could achieve signal clarity and recognized a Vor'Cha class vessel and two Birds of Prey attacking the Sjisk. I attempted confrontation with the Klingon vessels, under the articles of treaty, and received no response. In an attempt to dissuasive the attack I attempted to provoke the Klingons into attacking our vessel instead while launching our fighter wings as a defensive screen for the civilian vessel.
I ordered the Ayanami to attack the Vor'Cha as our primary target, and through repeated salvos we were able to sever the bridge from the primary hull by destroying the spine at the neck. After this we were attacked by both Birds of Prey. Their attacks were able to overload our shield relays, blowing out the secondary reactor, creating multiple hull breaches, and disabling the majority of our power systems, including weapons, transporters, and warp drive. This attack also blew out the primary helm control, seriously injuring Lt. Bjornsson. I ordered Lt. J.G. Kaori Tigella to assume helm control on her console.
At this time, I gave priority to restoring the shields, and the Beserker wings moved to assist our vessel, managing to destroy one of the birds of prey, while forcing the other to cloak.
During this period, Engineering was able to restore minimal power before the Bird of Prey decloaked on an attack run, bringing our shields up in time to dissipate the force of the blast; however inertial dampeners were insufficient to prevent the crew from being thrown about. At this point Lt. J.G. Robins and Lt. J.G. Tigella were both injured; Robins went unconscious and Tigella was concussed but conscious.
With the majority of the bridge crew disabled, I took control of weapons, operations, engineering, and science consoles on the bridge, managing to bring Tigella to consciousness enough that she could continue to man the helm console. Engineering was able to restore the point defense torpedo system.
During the next attack run from the Bird of Prey, I ordered the fighters on defensive screen, ordered Tigella to attempt evasive manuevers, and activated the point defense system. The torpedo attacks were sufficient to destroy the Bird of Prey before it was able to fire on the Ayanami again.
At this point I ordered injured bridge crew to stand down, and focused on restoring essential systems. The Bradford arrived and I ordered Commander Howard to begin damage control and medical assistance procedures for the Sjisk. I also requested that he offer to accept surrender from any Klingons remaining aboard the damaged Vor'Cha. The Klingons aboard ultimately refused rescue, setting up pattern inhibitors even as their core containment failed and the vessel went critical.
I was informed shortly after by Commander Howard that the hatchery vessel had approximately 75% of it egg chambers destroyed and it had originated from Seckma VII, a Gorn Hatchery world that previously had sent a distress signal that the Ayanami attempted to respond to. There was visual recordings of the star Seckma being destroyed, taking the planets in its system, including Seckma VII with it. Last known records show the populate of Seckma VII at over 3 million.
The crew aboard the Sjisk requested Federation Asylum, and as acting-Captain of the Ayanami, I offered asylum under the humanitarian articles of Federation conduct.
Once warp drive was restored to our vessel, I ordered the Bradford to escort both the Ayanami and the Sjisk back across the Neutral Zone to Federation space.

The hours past midnight were usually a favorite time for Talia to prowl the quiet decks of the Lady G. She could move about freely as she moved up and down its tight corridors, through the occasional compartment. It wasn't an inspection in the classic sense, not the like the several her ship had endured over the last few weeks. Definitely not the like the one she had endured this night.
It was more of a chance for the young Andorian officer to to allow herself to freely attune herself to her ship's state.
She moved quietly through the dim soft hue of th night shift's lighting. Her mind and heart calmer now since the inspection cadre had left her ship and she was once more heading out into the freedom offered by the deep black. Her mind drifted over the words that had angered her, 'Subpar for a front line ship' , 'Inadequate shielding', 'out dated components' and sighed as she sought to quell her rage once more.
She knew the words spoken by all of the officers she had come to expect had been correct. She was first and foremost the mistress of this ship. She knew her lady's true age and what had to be coaxed out of her each day of each mission. Yet she could not help but react out of an almost motherly pride for her ship.
Just recently her grand lady had proven her worth in combat, defeating the raider controlled starship handily, rescuing Captain Frost even as a larger more advanced starship had failed, her heart soared with an almost primitive warrior's joy as she felt the excitement once more as her lady had swooped in over their kill to save not only Frost, but the leader who had escaped. She had fully understood John's anger and feelings of bewildered betrayal at her lady receiving such a scathing review.
It was she who had silenced her chief engineer with a look to prevent his indignation from becoming insubordination. Another surge of pride filled her warrior's heart when he grew silent from just a look. Her crew's respect was her life's blood, their love of her ship made her heart beat.
Yet she would not allow her officer or officers betray their oath to Starfleet nor disrespect a superior officer.
Yet it was Meranda's words that cut through her rage, it was not the Lady G's crew that was in question. It could not be, not after how easily the ship was secured and the changeling capture by her own procedures. She smiled, even the weapon the cadre had used to fight the changeling had been one she had provided.
No, it could not be her crew that was in question. Even the test in engineering was flawed in her opinion.
She moved down the long dark deck ladder to yet another deck, nodded and smiled to any of the late watch she passed as she continued her walk. Poor Meelok, she thought, he easily could've used an override to access what Captain Honda had wanted had he known there was indeed an 'intruder' protocol in effect. As opposed to an Admiral wish to view the console herself.
No she thought, her crew proved its front line efficiency in dealing with Poor Mr.Hazzard and the actual threat of the changeling. She smiled a little to herself, as she recalled her attempt to cheer up Meelok in the lounge when she briefed her officers about the inspection and its results.
He had accepted her explanation but was driven to review security protocols and procedures. Probably until he passed out in his quarters. She had reviewed the bridge log, his words again surged her with pride.
'We don't quit on this ship' She smiled and thought to herself, no Meelok, we don't. Not at all.
She paused as she ran her hand gently over the dull gray of the bulkhead. She closed her eyes as she listened to the flow of air fronm the ducts above her head, and felt the vibrations of the ship's engine as it moved the ship through space toward the Rolor Nebula. It was at moments like this she almost felt a part of her ship, her antennae twitched gently as she convinced herself she could almost feel her lady glide through the stars.
She resumed her walk, stopping just once on a crew deck near a berthing bay to listen the low murmur of conversation coming from within. It wasn't truly eavesdropping, she had no real interest in the private conversations of her crew, just their tone tonight following the inspection and the unpleasantness that followed.
Was it angry? Uneasy?Confident?
A burst of warm bantering laughter came from the darkness beyond, Talia smiled and moved on.
"A true diamond in the rough' Meranda had said as Captain parker had tried to come to her and her ship's defense. The Admiral had in that one sentence told her all she had really wanted to hear tonight. Her crew was indeed something special, she saw know what the inspection cadre had seen. An old yet sturdy ship manned by a crew that could be counted on, yet should be able to offer so much more....
"...further down the road"
As a tactical officer she knew how to look into what people were saying, to prepare for it. The fleet command knew something was coming and they were preparing for it. Only an arrogant fool of a captain would think she was always fully ready to face any challenge. To refuse any type of help, to refuse to prepare was only to invite disaster. Her mentor Captain Tanaka Hann had once mentioned this to her.
It seemed apparent she was being given such a chance here, and to her this crew deserved for her to take every opportunity to protect them and her ship.
To refuse would be to invite folly. it was her job as Captain to stave off such arrogance and accept help. Pride in a ship was one thing, prideful arrogance got one killed on the field of battle.
Tali continued on her way exchanging a few words with the duty security officers she passed as well as the various Junior officers and crew going about their rounds as most of the crew slept. She paused only to check in with Lieutenant Tracey who had the watch on the Bridge to check in with the latest security updates for the sector around DS9 and the Nebula as well as having the young officer make sure any new intelligence updates went to her quarters to review. She then headed towards main engineering for a look at fuel consumption reports.
Her last stop was the lounge, where her yeoman already had her cup of warm tranya and a plate of Ti'Agra's peanut butter cookies ready for her. Set up above at the captain's table. She dismissed her yeoman and stood behind her chair and out into the black. She folded her ams behind herself and clasped her hand over her wrist and sighed as she watched the stars streak past.
How many more refits could her lady of the stars withstand? She had promised Meranda her orders would be carried out to the letter. She would eagerly accept each and every upgrade for her old girl and find a way to impress those she had learned to hold a deep respect for.
Talia closed her eyes as she whispered a soft promise to the Lady G. "We aren't done with our dance yet Giselle." she smiled as if she could feel the ship respond.
"We will get you properly prepared and ready for the coming ball" she reached out to lightly touch the bulkhead as if to reinforce her promise "You aren't finished yet my lady of the stars, we may still yet impress them before you get to rest"
With that she turned and stole a cookie from her plate and looked back to the stars "We wont fail them again...my word of honor"
Out beyond the view port, space continued its wondrous dance as the Giselle moved through the Stygian darkness toward her mission. Her captain firm in her vow to her ship and determined to see her fine crew protected.
She vowed not to fail Beta nor the 22nd, not while her heart still beat, nor breath in her lungs.
Slowly but surely she walked through the darkened rather large chamber. Beyond its white hued crystalline walls a brisk summer snow storm wailed and howled, a soft yet serene unearthly symphony.
She passed row upon row of cots, families huddled around one another sharing a meal, sending subspace messages to other far off families, or merely finally at rest. Among them a dark robed Andorian Relief worker pushed a cart of food and medicine.
Doctor's checked on children as a sprinkling of Starfleet officers moved here and there confirming names off of a checklist.
Tali was somewhat reassured now that she had made it down to the vast chamber her people had set aside for the Cernon refugees and some of the other displaced persons the Lady A had rescued from the occupation zone in Pi Canis.
"What was the name again Captain?" the soft spoken Aenar woman said.
"As I explained I do not know the name of the boy...nor his age" Talia's eyes never left each cot as she moved them from family to family, her arms clasped behind her back as if she were reviewing crewmen for an inspection. The only hint of her true feelings regarding this visit were her rapidly twitching antennae/
"I see...and this image I see through your eyes?" the Aenar inquired. "This is the young man you seek?"
Talia nodded "Indeed it is"
She stopped as she said it, there to her right sitting on the edge of the cot was the very boy she had been looking for. A little more tired and skinny than before but this was beyond a doubt the young human she had been looking for.
On the cot who's edge her was perched on was an older woman, pale but with the same color hair as the boy. As she watched the young boy reached over her and began tucking her blanket tighter around her.
"Its okay Mommy, Daddy will be right back" He said bravely. "He went to the 'chowder line' to get some food so you can take your medicine"
Talia watched with a degree of admiration for the young boy, the Aenar also observed quietly seeing through Talia's eyes.
"He is a brave one" the Aenar observed softly.
"He HAD to be" Talia nodded.
A older version of the boy arrived with a tray with three bowls of food and drinks. He smiled and said something to the boy that they were unable to hear. The boy however was less quiet than his father...
"She is still asleep daddy I was watching"
"Sssh Eric...don't wake her" His father admonished as he began to set up their tray.
"Eric Hamden..age 7...Father William and Mother Karen" the Aenar whispered to her "There is the one you sought Captain"
Talia nodded "I will just be a moment" she walked over, her hands still held behind her back as she approached the small family with a military like formality.
"William Hamden?" She said crisply.
Startled he looked up "Um ....Captain is it? Um..yes what is it captain? Can we help you?"
She looked to his wife and back to him "Your mate...she is being looked after well enough?"
William, still a little startled rose as little Eric sat closer to his mom as if to protect her from this tall blue stranger. Talia allowed herself yet another small thin smile as she noted that.
"Um yes....very much so...the strain of it was hard on her heart but yes she is expected to fully recover...she is just resting the doctors here gave her something to let her sleep..."
"Good" Talia nodded..."May I have a word with you son sir?"
William frowned slightly but found his curiosity won out and he nodded "Of course...he hasn't done anything wrong has he?"
"Me? " Eric stammered a little looking up to the big blue woman "You want to see me?"
Talia nodded her tone a little softer now "Yes indeed...I am in need of your help...will you help me" she remained standing, feeling that kneeling to this boy would be condescending and he might just resent it.
Eric's face lit up "Me ...help starfleet? Wow!" he stood and declared "Starfleet helped my mommy and daddy! Hows can I help?" He felt three times bigger than he actually was.
"I think I may have found something that was lost and wishes to be returned home" Tali said in a tone as if she was instructing an away team leader...though the tone was much, much softer.
William folded his arms over his chest as he watched this curious encounter with the Andorian officer and his small son.
"Okies! " Eric nodded over and over again "I promise if I can help I....I will try really really hard Capt'n..I promise"
Tali allowed a simple warm smile now as she said "You know a promise is a very big word...it is a very important word"
"Oh yes my Daddy tells me this all of the time..my Daddy says a promise is forever until you keep it"
Tali nodded "My fathers told me this as well young one...and awhile ago i made a promise to you..." she pointed a finger down at him."...To you, Eric Hamden"
He big brown eyes opened like morning glories "ME?" He gasped.
Behind Talia the older Aenar woman smiled.
Talia nodded, her antennae swishing to and fro now as she regarded the young boy. "Indeed...I believe young man this belongs to you" with that she extended her right arm with a cleaned up and repaired Teddy Bear in her hand.
Eric's eyes watered a little and his bottom lip trembled as he stared in shock at his old friend, a friend he clearly had thought forever lost.
"Bear bear?" He said as he lunged for the lost toy to reclaim it in a powerful hug. "OH YOU FOUND HIM... YOU FOUND HIM!!!"
"Eric" his mother said sleepily "What is wrong?"
"Mommy look Bear Bear is back!" Eric showed her the cleaned up but obviously love-worn bear.
"Oh Honey I am so happy for you" she reached up and hugged her son as tightly as he was holding Bear bear. Her eyes found Talia standing there, almost regal in her pressed uniform and skirt, she mouthed a silent 'Thank you' and added a weary yet relieved smile.
Talia nodded and turned to go thanking the older Aenar woman as she passed her.
She got a few rows away when she heard...
"Captain....Captain?"
She turned to find William stadning there, he had run after her.
"Yes Mr. Hamden?" She canted her head to the side as she regarded him.
"It was you, wasn't it? The one who commanded that ship....the one that came after us all?"
Talia hesitated but eventually nodded ever so slightly.
"I am ...I mean..I..." William fought for the right words, a speech he had perhaps prepared now gone in the moment. he surrendered and just added a choked. "Thank you...for my family...all of us ..I...mean.."
Talia held up her hand and smiled a little "I will pass that on to my crew sir...you have a brave little boy and a beautiful family...and right now they need you."
William nodded "Yeah they are terrific aren't they?" he added with a soft chuckle.."Still though...thank you Captain"
Talia smiled softly and bowed her head and dipped her antennae to him and then turned and walked outside into the soft summer snow.
William watched her until the doors closed, he shook his head after a moment and smiled, returning to his wife and son. Eric was already showing off Bear bear to his friends, happy his friend had returned and very proud of the Starfleet symbol of the 22nd Mobile Fleet patch the bear now bore on his tummy to patch the repair work after his recovery on Cernon.
Outside the shelter a soft blanket of summer snow began to fill in the footprints left just outside the door. The wind continued to howl its soft yet ethereally beautiful chorus as the Sun began to set just above the high glaciers.
The storyline of the 22nd Mobile Daedalus is an on going story of several ships and their crews career development in Starfleet. Candidates join the fleet by requesting a character to play and the skills they wish to bring to the starship group. Games are conducted much like a SIM or DND Game where a Game Master interacts with players as the universe. Characters will develop relationships, and over come challenges much like an typical episode from Star Trek as you will explore strange new worlds, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
Each ship meets one night a week for role playing so commitment to the fleet is roughly 3-4 hours a week. There are many other types of events that occur and there is a huge PVE membership. So getting help with the game is very easy when join the fleet.
We are currently featuring our own Fleetbase, Starbase 220 - Under the command of Rear Admiral Miranda Kalavek and Rear Admiral Nyoko Honda! This has become a hub for role playing between episodes. Allowing for more socializing in character. We have done such with places like Earth Space Dock, Risa, but now we have centralized private instance for the fleet community.

The USS Pilgrim has returned to the Fleet and the Alpha Quadrent and is undergoing debriefing and enjoying so hard earned shore leave with their families!
The USS Sentinel is likewise gearing up for yet a new mission with the fleet after a hard won shore leave!
The Ayanami is now gearing up for her new mission after a long refit and resupply!

The Ayanami is now believe MIA after a battle, though Starfleet believes her destroyed she still pursues her attackers!

I don't post here often but I felt compelled to do so today. July 28th marks my 3rd year in this fleet. I can honestly say that I would not be playing STO in any capacity had it not been for this fleet. If you enjoy episodic crew based roleplay with arc based storytelling, this is the place for you. As one of our new members said to me as he was watching our Tuesday event: "You know what, this actually is like watching a written episode of Star Trek." regardless of how the new series turns out (and I have hope, despite the Discovery's hideous ship design) it will be hard for it to beat out what we do every week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays.

Acting Captain's log, Stardate Supplemental.
This will be my final entry in this format, for now. Although I feel these events will shape the way my career progresses from this point, I hope my next Captain's Log is breaking in my own ship. The experience was not worth seeing my fellow crewmates go through such suffering.
Our plan was a smashing success. We had targeted the command ship of the enemy group that initially attacked us. This ship was flanked by two other destroyer class ships, making any standard assault unlikely to succeed.
Ensign Nassan hatched a brilliant plan, using beacons emitting a signal that would draw out the escort ships and leave the command ship isolated. We had to gamble on their willingness to spread out, but I put myself in the shoes of their commander, and figured he would send those escorts out to do the dirty work. And that's exactly what they did.
As soon as the destroyed abandoned the command ship, we jammed their comm frequencies, decloaked, and went in full throttle. Lieutenant Commander Shantal made sure we had full power to weapons after I took over Tactical and we went in hot. We caught their commander and crew completely offguard, they didn't even get a shot off until halfway during the battle. Eventually it turned into a back and forth battle, but our early advantage was too much for them. Their commanding officer, Archon J'dok, contacted me in the latter stages. I tried to gather as much information as I could, but he was not interested in conversation. He simply wanted to know the name of the "warrior" who bested him. I gave him a chance to surrender, but he was intent on fighting to the death. I must say, the motivations of this species seemed similar to the Klingons. We had no choice but to destroy his ship.
By this time, the two destroyers had realized what was going on and were speeding toward us. Our temporary cloak was offline, and my forward weapons were offline. Somehow, despite taking a serious injury during the battle, Lieutenant Commander Shantal managed to get power restored to the fore weapons, and after Ensign Nassan gave us a quick warp jump to surprise them, we tore into the destroyers. It didn't matter much, though, as the cavalry arrived shortly after and made short work of them. We transferred the critically wounded to the Endeavour, and are on our way to the Starbase.
Jon runs his hands up and down his face, a bit overwhelmed when he looks back on recent events.
I will be personally filing my recommendations for medals and promotions. I know I'm not the commanding officer, but these people deserve everything and more for what was accomplished here. We were tested to our limits, and we passed with flying colors. We've also got a number of funerals ahead of us. Here's hoping that number doesn't go up anymore.

Commander Anja Malitzka, Executive Officer, U.S.S. Ayanami
Due to command requirements for Admiral Honda, I was left to stand in as Acting-Captain of the Ayanami and take command of Task Force Sentry in her absence. We continued our patrol efforts along the Neutral Zone border, and the previous four days have had no significant occurrences, leaving us to focus on restoring the Jeanne d'Arc to full operational capacity and continue the investigation into a number of loose threads in connection to the dead Orion augment in our morgue and the unusual attack on our vessel.
During Alpha shift, Lt. Ragnar Bjornsson was left on conn while I was being updated on Doctor Hazel Qoll's progress in our investigation when the Ayanami received a distress signal from a Gorn vessel across the Neutral Zone. The vessel identified itself as a hatchery ship and claimed a Klingon attack. I ordered the bridge crew to obtain confirmation of the signal, as per our orders from Rear Admiral Kalavek and returned to the bridge.
We were able to obtain an audio connection with the Gorn vessel, identifying itself as the Sjisk, reiterated it's distress signal and requested assistance. I ordered Helm to set course, placed the U.S.S. Calvin on Task Force Command, and ordered the U.S.S. Bradford to assist. The Ayanami was able to reach the location in 20 minutes, the Bradford was an hour out.
Due to local interference, we were a minute out before we could achieve signal clarity and recognized a Vor'Cha class vessel and two Birds of Prey attacking the Sjisk. I attempted confrontation with the Klingon vessels, under the articles of treaty, and received no response. In an attempt to dissuasive the attack I attempted to provoke the Klingons into attacking our vessel instead while launching our fighter wings as a defensive screen for the civilian vessel.
I ordered the Ayanami to attack the Vor'Cha as our primary target, and through repeated salvos we were able to sever the bridge from the primary hull by destroying the spine at the neck. After this we were attacked by both Birds of Prey. Their attacks were able to overload our shield relays, blowing out the secondary reactor, creating multiple hull breaches, and disabling the majority of our power systems, including weapons, transporters, and warp drive. This attack also blew out the primary helm control, seriously injuring Lt. Bjornsson. I ordered Lt. J.G. Kaori Tigella to assume helm control on her console.
At this time, I gave priority to restoring the shields, and the Beserker wings moved to assist our vessel, managing to destroy one of the birds of prey, while forcing the other to cloak.
During this period, Engineering was able to restore minimal power before the Bird of Prey decloaked on an attack run, bringing our shields up in time to dissipate the force of the blast; however inertial dampeners were insufficient to prevent the crew from being thrown about. At this point Lt. J.G. Robins and Lt. J.G. Tigella were both injured; Robins went unconscious and Tigella was concussed but conscious.
With the majority of the bridge crew disabled, I took control of weapons, operations, engineering, and science consoles on the bridge, managing to bring Tigella to consciousness enough that she could continue to man the helm console. Engineering was able to restore the point defense torpedo system.
During the next attack run from the Bird of Prey, I ordered the fighters on defensive screen, ordered Tigella to attempt evasive manuevers, and activated the point defense system. The torpedo attacks were sufficient to destroy the Bird of Prey before it was able to fire on the Ayanami again.
At this point I ordered injured bridge crew to stand down, and focused on restoring essential systems. The Bradford arrived and I ordered Commander Howard to begin damage control and medical assistance procedures for the Sjisk. I also requested that he offer to accept surrender from any Klingons remaining aboard the damaged Vor'Cha. The Klingons aboard ultimately refused rescue, setting up pattern inhibitors even as their core containment failed and the vessel went critical.
I was informed shortly after by Commander Howard that the hatchery vessel had approximately 75% of it egg chambers destroyed and it had originated from Seckma VII, a Gorn Hatchery world that previously had sent a distress signal that the Ayanami attempted to respond to. There was visual recordings of the star Seckma being destroyed, taking the planets in its system, including Seckma VII with it. Last known records show the populate of Seckma VII at over 3 million.
The crew aboard the Sjisk requested Federation Asylum, and as acting-Captain of the Ayanami, I offered asylum under the humanitarian articles of Federation conduct.
Once warp drive was restored to our vessel, I ordered the Bradford to escort both the Ayanami and the Sjisk back across the Neutral Zone to Federation space.

The hours past midnight were usually a favorite time for Talia to prowl the quiet decks of the Lady G. She could move about freely as she moved up and down its tight corridors, through the occasional compartment. It wasn't an inspection in the classic sense, not the like the several her ship had endured over the last few weeks. Definitely not the like the one she had endured this night.
It was more of a chance for the young Andorian officer to to allow herself to freely attune herself to her ship's state.
She moved quietly through the dim soft hue of th night shift's lighting. Her mind and heart calmer now since the inspection cadre had left her ship and she was once more heading out into the freedom offered by the deep black. Her mind drifted over the words that had angered her, 'Subpar for a front line ship' , 'Inadequate shielding', 'out dated components' and sighed as she sought to quell her rage once more.
She knew the words spoken by all of the officers she had come to expect had been correct. She was first and foremost the mistress of this ship. She knew her lady's true age and what had to be coaxed out of her each day of each mission. Yet she could not help but react out of an almost motherly pride for her ship.
Just recently her grand lady had proven her worth in combat, defeating the raider controlled starship handily, rescuing Captain Frost even as a larger more advanced starship had failed, her heart soared with an almost primitive warrior's joy as she felt the excitement once more as her lady had swooped in over their kill to save not only Frost, but the leader who had escaped. She had fully understood John's anger and feelings of bewildered betrayal at her lady receiving such a scathing review.
It was she who had silenced her chief engineer with a look to prevent his indignation from becoming insubordination. Another surge of pride filled her warrior's heart when he grew silent from just a look. Her crew's respect was her life's blood, their love of her ship made her heart beat.
Yet she would not allow her officer or officers betray their oath to Starfleet nor disrespect a superior officer.
Yet it was Meranda's words that cut through her rage, it was not the Lady G's crew that was in question. It could not be, not after how easily the ship was secured and the changeling capture by her own procedures. She smiled, even the weapon the cadre had used to fight the changeling had been one she had provided.
No, it could not be her crew that was in question. Even the test in engineering was flawed in her opinion.
She moved down the long dark deck ladder to yet another deck, nodded and smiled to any of the late watch she passed as she continued her walk. Poor Meelok, she thought, he easily could've used an override to access what Captain Honda had wanted had he known there was indeed an 'intruder' protocol in effect. As opposed to an Admiral wish to view the console herself.
No she thought, her crew proved its front line efficiency in dealing with Poor Mr.Hazzard and the actual threat of the changeling. She smiled a little to herself, as she recalled her attempt to cheer up Meelok in the lounge when she briefed her officers about the inspection and its results.
He had accepted her explanation but was driven to review security protocols and procedures. Probably until he passed out in his quarters. She had reviewed the bridge log, his words again surged her with pride.
'We don't quit on this ship' She smiled and thought to herself, no Meelok, we don't. Not at all.
She paused as she ran her hand gently over the dull gray of the bulkhead. She closed her eyes as she listened to the flow of air fronm the ducts above her head, and felt the vibrations of the ship's engine as it moved the ship through space toward the Rolor Nebula. It was at moments like this she almost felt a part of her ship, her antennae twitched gently as she convinced herself she could almost feel her lady glide through the stars.
She resumed her walk, stopping just once on a crew deck near a berthing bay to listen the low murmur of conversation coming from within. It wasn't truly eavesdropping, she had no real interest in the private conversations of her crew, just their tone tonight following the inspection and the unpleasantness that followed.
Was it angry? Uneasy?Confident?
A burst of warm bantering laughter came from the darkness beyond, Talia smiled and moved on.
"A true diamond in the rough' Meranda had said as Captain parker had tried to come to her and her ship's defense. The Admiral had in that one sentence told her all she had really wanted to hear tonight. Her crew was indeed something special, she saw know what the inspection cadre had seen. An old yet sturdy ship manned by a crew that could be counted on, yet should be able to offer so much more....
"...further down the road"
As a tactical officer she knew how to look into what people were saying, to prepare for it. The fleet command knew something was coming and they were preparing for it. Only an arrogant fool of a captain would think she was always fully ready to face any challenge. To refuse any type of help, to refuse to prepare was only to invite disaster. Her mentor Captain Tanaka Hann had once mentioned this to her.
It seemed apparent she was being given such a chance here, and to her this crew deserved for her to take every opportunity to protect them and her ship.
To refuse would be to invite folly. it was her job as Captain to stave off such arrogance and accept help. Pride in a ship was one thing, prideful arrogance got one killed on the field of battle.
Tali continued on her way exchanging a few words with the duty security officers she passed as well as the various Junior officers and crew going about their rounds as most of the crew slept. She paused only to check in with Lieutenant Tracey who had the watch on the Bridge to check in with the latest security updates for the sector around DS9 and the Nebula as well as having the young officer make sure any new intelligence updates went to her quarters to review. She then headed towards main engineering for a look at fuel consumption reports.
Her last stop was the lounge, where her yeoman already had her cup of warm tranya and a plate of Ti'Agra's peanut butter cookies ready for her. Set up above at the captain's table. She dismissed her yeoman and stood behind her chair and out into the black. She folded her ams behind herself and clasped her hand over her wrist and sighed as she watched the stars streak past.
How many more refits could her lady of the stars withstand? She had promised Meranda her orders would be carried out to the letter. She would eagerly accept each and every upgrade for her old girl and find a way to impress those she had learned to hold a deep respect for.
Talia closed her eyes as she whispered a soft promise to the Lady G. "We aren't done with our dance yet Giselle." she smiled as if she could feel the ship respond.
"We will get you properly prepared and ready for the coming ball" she reached out to lightly touch the bulkhead as if to reinforce her promise "You aren't finished yet my lady of the stars, we may still yet impress them before you get to rest"
With that she turned and stole a cookie from her plate and looked back to the stars "We wont fail them again...my word of honor"
Out beyond the view port, space continued its wondrous dance as the Giselle moved through the Stygian darkness toward her mission. Her captain firm in her vow to her ship and determined to see her fine crew protected.
She vowed not to fail Beta nor the 22nd, not while her heart still beat, nor breath in her lungs.

Slowly but surely she walked through the darkened rather large chamber. Beyond its white hued crystalline walls a brisk summer snow storm wailed and howled, a soft yet serene unearthly symphony.
She passed row upon row of cots, families huddled around one another sharing a meal, sending subspace messages to other far off families, or merely finally at rest. Among them a dark robed Andorian Relief worker pushed a cart of food and medicine.
Doctor's checked on children as a sprinkling of Starfleet officers moved here and there confirming names off of a checklist.
Tali was somewhat reassured now that she had made it down to the vast chamber her people had set aside for the Cernon refugees and some of the other displaced persons the Lady A had rescued from the occupation zone in Pi Canis.
"What was the name again Captain?" the soft spoken Aenar woman said.
"As I explained I do not know the name of the boy...nor his age" Talia's eyes never left each cot as she moved them from family to family, her arms clasped behind her back as if she were reviewing crewmen for an inspection. The only hint of her true feelings regarding this visit were her rapidly twitching antennae/
"I see...and this image I see through your eyes?" the Aenar inquired. "This is the young man you seek?"
Talia nodded "Indeed it is"
She stopped as she said it, there to her right sitting on the edge of the cot was the very boy she had been looking for. A little more tired and skinny than before but this was beyond a doubt the young human she had been looking for.
On the cot who's edge her was perched on was an older woman, pale but with the same color hair as the boy. As she watched the young boy reached over her and began tucking her blanket tighter around her.
"Its okay Mommy, Daddy will be right back" He said bravely. "He went to the 'chowder line' to get some food so you can take your medicine"
Talia watched with a degree of admiration for the young boy, the Aenar also observed quietly seeing through Talia's eyes.
"He is a brave one" the Aenar observed softly.
"He HAD to be" Talia nodded.
A older version of the boy arrived with a tray with three bowls of food and drinks. He smiled and said something to the boy that they were unable to hear. The boy however was less quiet than his father...
"She is still asleep daddy I was watching"
"Sssh Eric...don't wake her" His father admonished as he began to set up their tray.
"Eric Hamden..age 7...Father William and Mother Karen" the Aenar whispered to her "There is the one you sought Captain"
Talia nodded "I will just be a moment" she walked over, her hands still held behind her back as she approached the small family with a military like formality.
"William Hamden?" She said crisply.
Startled he looked up "Um ....Captain is it? Um..yes what is it captain? Can we help you?"
She looked to his wife and back to him "Your mate...she is being looked after well enough?"
William, still a little startled rose as little Eric sat closer to his mom as if to protect her from this tall blue stranger. Talia allowed herself yet another small thin smile as she noted that.
"Um yes....very much so...the strain of it was hard on her heart but yes she is expected to fully recover...she is just resting the doctors here gave her something to let her sleep..."
"Good" Talia nodded..."May I have a word with you son sir?"
William frowned slightly but found his curiosity won out and he nodded "Of course...he hasn't done anything wrong has he?"
"Me? " Eric stammered a little looking up to the big blue woman "You want to see me?"
Talia nodded her tone a little softer now "Yes indeed...I am in need of your help...will you help me" she remained standing, feeling that kneeling to this boy would be condescending and he might just resent it.
Eric's face lit up "Me ...help starfleet? Wow!" he stood and declared "Starfleet helped my mommy and daddy! Hows can I help?" He felt three times bigger than he actually was.
"I think I may have found something that was lost and wishes to be returned home" Tali said in a tone as if she was instructing an away team leader...though the tone was much, much softer.
William folded his arms over his chest as he watched this curious encounter with the Andorian officer and his small son.
"Okies! " Eric nodded over and over again "I promise if I can help I....I will try really really hard Capt'n..I promise"
Tali allowed a simple warm smile now as she said "You know a promise is a very big word...it is a very important word"
"Oh yes my Daddy tells me this all of the time..my Daddy says a promise is forever until you keep it"
Tali nodded "My fathers told me this as well young one...and awhile ago i made a promise to you..." she pointed a finger down at him."...To you, Eric Hamden"
He big brown eyes opened like morning glories "ME?" He gasped.
Behind Talia the older Aenar woman smiled.
Talia nodded, her antennae swishing to and fro now as she regarded the young boy. "Indeed...I believe young man this belongs to you" with that she extended her right arm with a cleaned up and repaired Teddy Bear in her hand.
Eric's eyes watered a little and his bottom lip trembled as he stared in shock at his old friend, a friend he clearly had thought forever lost.
"Bear bear?" He said as he lunged for the lost toy to reclaim it in a powerful hug. "OH YOU FOUND HIM... YOU FOUND HIM!!!"
"Eric" his mother said sleepily "What is wrong?"
"Mommy look Bear Bear is back!" Eric showed her the cleaned up but obviously love-worn bear.
"Oh Honey I am so happy for you" she reached up and hugged her son as tightly as he was holding Bear bear. Her eyes found Talia standing there, almost regal in her pressed uniform and skirt, she mouthed a silent 'Thank you' and added a weary yet relieved smile.
Talia nodded and turned to go thanking the older Aenar woman as she passed her.
She got a few rows away when she heard...
"Captain....Captain?"
She turned to find William stadning there, he had run after her.
"Yes Mr. Hamden?" She canted her head to the side as she regarded him.
"It was you, wasn't it? The one who commanded that ship....the one that came after us all?"
Talia hesitated but eventually nodded ever so slightly.
"I am ...I mean..I..." William fought for the right words, a speech he had perhaps prepared now gone in the moment. he surrendered and just added a choked. "Thank you...for my family...all of us ..I...mean.."
Talia held up her hand and smiled a little "I will pass that on to my crew sir...you have a brave little boy and a beautiful family...and right now they need you."
William nodded "Yeah they are terrific aren't they?" he added with a soft chuckle.."Still though...thank you Captain"
Talia smiled softly and bowed her head and dipped her antennae to him and then turned and walked outside into the soft summer snow.
William watched her until the doors closed, he shook his head after a moment and smiled, returning to his wife and son. Eric was already showing off Bear bear to his friends, happy his friend had returned and very proud of the Starfleet symbol of the 22nd Mobile Fleet patch the bear now bore on his tummy to patch the repair work after his recovery on Cernon.

Each ship meets one night a week for role playing so commitment to the fleet is roughly 3-4 hours a week. There are many other types of events that occur and there is a huge PVE membership. So getting help with the game is very easy when join the fleet.
We are currently featuring our own Fleetbase, Starbase 220 - Under the command of Rear Admiral Miranda Kalavek and Rear Admiral Nyoko Honda! This has become a hub for role playing between episodes. Allowing for more socializing in character. We have done such with places like Earth Space Dock, Risa, but now we have centralized private instance for the fleet community.

The Adagio has returned to aid in the on going refugee relief crisis as she heads for the Hriomi Cluster!
The Sentinel is also on a mission of exploration in the Hriomi Cluster on her first true mission since her shakedown cruise!

The storyline of the 22nd Mobile Daedalus is an on going story of several ships and their crews career development in Starfleet. Candidates join the fleet by requesting a character to play and the skills they wish to bring to the starship group. Games are conducted much like a SIM or DND Game where a Game Master interacts with players as the universe. Characters will develop relationships, and over come challenges much like an typical episode from Star Trek as you will explore strange new worlds, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
Each ship meets one night a week for role playing so commitment to the fleet is roughly 3-4 hours a week. There are many other types of events that occur and there is a huge PVE membership. So getting help with the game is very easy when join the fleet.
We are currently featuring our own Fleetbase, Starbase 220 - Under the command of Rear Admiral Miranda Kalavek and Rear Admiral Susan Compton! This has become a hub for role playing between episodes. Allowing for more socializing in character. We have done such with places like Earth Space Dock, Risa, but now we have centralized private instance for the fleet community.

Along with that is our thread for character transfer requests! There is a thread to explain the process in which to join the 22nd's rp! Its not as daunting as it looks, we are pretty fun bunch! Any questions that you might have will be readily answered by the DGM Leadership of the fleet and we can walk you through the process if you get stuck!
Also If you get stuck on the character sheet, apply and ask for assistance after outlining your character and history as normal, and we will help you with the sheet as we go. We are more about story and getting folks involved in the rp.
