I beam down to the Regulus ground map for "The Kuva'Magh" and go from 20-30FPS to 4FPS. Even Risa runs significantly better than that. It seems that this issue is not new. Is there any progress on this? 4FPS is unplayable.
I found a thread on the Steam forums that pinpointed the problem to the grass. For the workaround, disable "Graphics > High Detail Objects" and the game becomes playable again.

That worked great! It is unfortuneate that we have to do that though. Especially for me, running a GTX 970 gaming OC card, 8 core processor and 32gb of ram. This game should run great on far less. What is up with the engine they use??

This is also happening in Orelias or whatever the name is of the planet for the mission The New Link. It's not quite as bad but I could tell even on my high end gpu.

It's antiquated, that's what's up.
Especially in the tailor. It's laggy and such a memory hog. Can't even use the tailor at the academy, it's so bad.
