Snapping and Popping in Audio

Just reinstalled to come back for AoY. However, in playing a bit before the expansion releases, I noticed a very annoying snapping and popping that comes from the speakers while playing STO. Muting ambient sounds did not help, and the snapping and popping even occurs when the game is in the background.

    Additionally, it happens when the global volume setting is set to 0, as well. It only happens while the client is running. Pretty sure this is an STO client issue. Drivers and everything else are current, and there are no issues within windows or any other application.

    yeah i got same problem with audio sound weird i was thinking my sound card problem but i dont have problem with other games or programs using audio only with star trek online
