No! I can't accept that! I won't! Fire it out the airlock!

So, is everyone saying: PvP in STO is mostly nostalgia? Had a great time with it back around the time Legacy of Romulus dropped?
And has been going down hill since.... when? Delta Rising/Level 60...or before that? So, PvP has to be locked to Level 50/T-5??? As well as lock out the Specializations? Oh, and ship traits/mastery?
And the easiest way to revert back, as of now is: start a new character, every two-three weeks and delete when they hit Level 45. That's insane....the entire concept for PvP was teamwork, and coordination, right?
How do you even make a team if you are constantly starting over?
What would be the point of special prizes for a character you have to delete to make another?

Well, Patrickngo....if you want to expand PvP participation to the "casual" crowd. I think you are going to have to dial your expectations of what they are willing to do WAY DOWN.
Now, I may be incorrect....but you tell me....what is your goal?
Trying to get fancy gifts for the current PvE players so they will come back to play PvP with you in the game?
Or are you wanting to make STO PvP more appealing to more players and expand the number of players that find PvP usable and fun?
Because you are going to have to look at and see the reality of how people play in this game. Which is: do the content until "I" get the prize then stop.

However, there are factional patterns that are wanting. Based on the inevitable anti-Alliance victories (I game into the game during the first weeks of the Defera BZ, and I recall how much UFP PvPers feared the strategic prowess of their KE PvPer adversaries.), I suspect eventual adoptions of this system, into Federation, and Romulan circles, being Siskoist (pro-Alliance) v. Kirkist (anti-Alliance) (I've seen these terms thrown around in RP, and often use them myself.), and Reformist v. Traditionalist, respectively.
If PvP is fixed in time for the console releases, the number of players for each faction will increase permantently (as, as far as I know, activity is not measured, per se), after a time, so much so, as to make this game all the more interesting.

Also, what is your answer to these difficult questions from my previous post?
How to deal with toxic attitudes and negative atmosphere of PvP?
How to teach a lot of people how to become team players?

TIME is more important than Dilithium.
But I think I will regroup, read everything I printed out and put in context the rest of your posts and get back to you.
