Travel through both space and time as you fight for our very existence. The Temporal War rages with Krenim and Na'kuhl forces working to undo the very fabric of time and us with it.

Join the Temporal Defense to aid in the protection of our worlds on all fronts, before we are wiped from history itself.

The captain in the video who get's recruited looks EXACTLY like my character in-game. I did not know Cryptic took my captain and used him for a promotional video! As the characters agent, I demand financial compensation for his services!

Time travel and glass-cannon ships hurt my head and is NOT what Trek is about. Trek is exploration, becoming better as a species, and gaining scientific knowledge while holding on to the traditions that got us where were are.

Nice trailer, and also, I spotted the Kelvin Enterprise!

Interestingly, you gave the ship that we get blown up on a name. Oceanic. Was that deliberate? I'm curious about that now.

Anyone notice the Kelvin Universe ship shown in that trailer is the Enterprise? >:) Did Temporal Investigations realize any Kirk was too dangerous so they figured he was better off being hired by them?

Guys, more importantly, it wasn't JUST the Kelvin Enterprise.

Seriously? Did nobody see the Vengeance warp in in the background?
Oh yeah. Kelvin Timeline lockbox is coming up next guys. Save your cash...

Wow, talk about ruining the graphics. I was hoping it was just the screens shots that were bad, but in motion that video was terrible graphically. Never seen an MMO mess up its graphics this much. It was bad enough when sector space graphics where downgraded so much last year but now you ruined the rest of the game as well.

There is far to much loss in detail, burred objects and washed out screens in the so called upgrade and the shadows are all messed up as well.

They won't put the Vengeance and Connie in lockboxes. Those will most likely be in the C-Store. For the lockbox (if there is one) we can probably expect things like the Darwin-class and Kelvin-class, which would be plenty of incentive to buy keys.

    B)

Okay, this is a wonderful trailer for making it look really dramatic (and helping set expectations for temporal - popping out at ESD with all the 2410-era ships, and a KT Connie)
Fate - protects fools, small children, and ships named Enterprise Will Riker

With the viper lifting slowly in front of Mongo, the vicious predator suddenly stated; "I shall take command of the KT enterprise and explore the frontiers beyond with my reptile friend". Little did he know, he would be joined by Sloth, Baboon and Spence acting as his bridge officers.

Hip Hip Hurray!!! for the KT Enterprise.

I wouldn't say badly done. Below average, but certainly not bad.

Delta Rising had a much better one.

    Your pain runs deep.

Why don't you think those are going into a lock box? I can think of 3 reasons why they are.

    1) They're not ships that are native to the prime timeline where STO normally resides.

    2) CBS most likely wanted them to limit the amount of Kelvin Timeline Constitiutions due to number one.

    3) Ships that aren't standard ships are usually put into lock boxes.

I imagine the KT Connie will likely be T6, so people will be shelling out oodles of cash to try and earn one so they can finally have a T6 connie.

There is strong evidence floating around if the stats are correct and haven't changed that the Vengeance & Connie will not be store ships unless Crypric is changing it's model regarding the store.

    1. Alright, you have a point on this one, but since they're building into the lore that things are crossing over from one universe to another, the KT ships arguably ARE part of the universe now, so they could justify it that way.

    2. CBS just ALLOWING a T6 Connie is a huge change, so why would they bother limiting the number of ships in the game? Both of us are operating purely on supposition on this point, unless you have an actual source saying CBS wants to limit the number of KT Connies.

    3. What, exactly, constitutes a "standard" ship? You can buy a number of "non-official" ships on the C-Store, from the Andorian Charal escorts to the various Gorn and Nausicaan ships. The ones that go into lockboxes tend to be the ships from minor races that have no possible canon reason for adoption by a major faction. Even the Obelisk carrier can be gotten, though for fleet credit instead of EC/dil/ZEN.

I'm not 100% sure that the KT ships will be in the C-Store instead of a lockbox, but I think the insane amount of money CBS and Cryptic would make from selling them directly (one T6 ship goes for roughly the same cost as 30 keys, remember), combined with the nuclear explosion of outrage that would result from relegating the KT Connie and Vengeance to lockboxes, will more likely lead to both ships being available for direct purchase. That's just my theory. I could be totally wrong.

Looks good so far. However unless there is a T6 Connie or Connie Refit. I will leave my character at Lv10. As by then I will not be in a hurry to level up. And their ship will be the Excelsior, when ever I get to it. It will be the bottom of my alts.

That's just my theory. I could be totally wrong.

I consider a standard ship to be something that the factions are able to mass produce.

I consider standard ships to be anything that the factions can produce within their shipyards or within member worlds' ship yards. Andorian, Vulcan and Caitian ships can be obtained in the C-store because they're part of the Federation. Gorn and Nausicaan ships are able to be bought from Klingon ship yards because from a Gorn standpoint, they're ruled by the Klingons. Nausicaans are allowed because they decided that when their contractor got absorbed into the Klingon Empire, they felt it would be best if they allowed themselves to be as well.

One can argue for the 26th century and 31st century ships that because our toons are becoming temporal agents so to speak (Yesterday's War arc), we should have access to Temporal ships that lack the ability to fully travel through time, but are able to manipulate small parts of space-time.

Kelvin Timeline Constitutions are not from our timeline and thus there would be less of them. Same as the Vengeance and just like there are few 29th century ships as well. Only a certain amount can be found.

I sure hope they announce however (or if) players can get a T6 Connie/Kelvinprise/Vengence soon.
I mean, they probably will before the expansion launches, but I HAVE TO KNOW
