Just wondering but if these ships are "faction: Any" idea what price they would be in the Store as I doubt it is standard 3k zen for a ship usable by both factions? (guessing it will be Chronos Dreadnought (fed) and Chronos Dreadnought (kdf) in the store )
Also any idea when the Temporal pack will be in the C-store?
yes these particular 3 ships are cross-faction
considering they are T6 ships, I'm expecting a 3,000 zen price tag
and 6,000 IF they are later packaged into a separate "31st Century Ship Bundle"; not sure if it'll happen
the Temporal pack will be added to the C-Store when the AoY expansion is released
I'd actually expect them to be 3500 Zen, since they are fleet level and need to compete with the 26th century ones at 3000. Either that or they will make the 26th century ones 2500 like the old T5 ships.
I'd only like to remind that Command Battlecruiser and pilot escorts, were all 3k per ship and fleet grade
actually the only "Specialised" ship family that was not fleet grade and had fleet grade counterpart were intel ships.....
Finally! Something like a Tier 6 Vesta. Too bad it doesn't have cannons or a better turn rate though...
I have to admit, the fact that there is a multi-mission Sci ship in the pack did have me wondering whether it would be able to use the Aux Cannons from the Vesta line.
Anyhow, can't say there is anything I don't like in these ships. My only 'concern' is that, being as sci-focused as some of them are, they'll benefit my main character a great deal, which might distract me from using my new Temporal Agent as much as I'd like
Make another Sci-Focused alt? I am going to do it, too, probably.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
Okay, so these are cross-faction ZEN ships, so it's not entirely all Fed ships which is nice. So my question is what cores can I slot on this ship? Does it only take Warp Cores or Singularity, and does it depend on which faction my character is on? The blog doesn't state what cores they use.
The Eternal was the ship I looked forward to the most. Unfortunately, I'm sad to say I'm very disappointed in it. Out of the three ships, it's the runt of the litter.
In almost every shape and form, it is inferior to the Wells class and wall less mobile than most mainstream science vessels like the Pathfinder, Vesta and the Luna-classes. The bridge seating is kind of questionable with the focus in LtC Engineering, the Lt Tactical hybrid seat and the floating LtC universal seat. Running the ship science/temporal-wise will be a big sacrifice to any tactical leanings on that ship... which honestly makes the prospect of builds on it awkward. It's only strong point is its shield modifier of 1.475, but the nearest ship to that, the Dyson Science Destroyer, equals or outperforms it in most other ways (within the limitations of a T5U ship lacking the extra bridge officer station).
I know the feeling... I am running my T5-U tac Vesta and this looks appealing- except I give up turn rate. And Hull.
But then again, a cross faction ship for the Admiralty card might work for me since my KDF toon needs more sci ship cards.
Bridge and console layout is almost meaningless amongst science ships. So many powers exist in all three classes that do exotic damage or something similar, all you gotta do is slot a bunch of them and go to town. I've had zero problems making kick-TRIBBLE science ships out of pretty much every single one in the game it isn't even hard anymore.

A real good science player can run any boat with high damage output, regardless of the boff seating or even the console layout.
There's so many boff abilities in all categories doing exotic damage that a lack of tac focus isn't a problem. Me personally, all i need is access to a torp spread of any rank (but the higher the better) and I can be happy.
As for consoles, well you can stack universals 'till the cows come home and still do a lot of nasty tricks to the enemy.
I find science is quite an unrestricted style as you can get damage from so many sources, it's refreshing not to have to worry about needing 3+ tac consoles or a lt. cmdr. tac seat.

Tier 5 and 6 are both available at level 50.
Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
I dare you to do better.
Does this count as exotic (kinetic) damage? Does this bypass shields? Is it boosted by exotic particle gens, aux power, etc?
I too am wondering about this.

Somehow I was imagining that they would resemble the Epoch (the time machine/airplane from the classic SNES game "Chrono Trigger).
