Risa Event is totally boring!

I never seen risa b4...and I can not help but claim this event a loser.
The air float to get ship reward is just stupid- just give players the daily for showing up...the 1/2 keyboard ,1/2 mouse move is to annoying to bother with...and it isn't a race - just a timed solo run - B O R I N G
Powerboard thing seem cool...why not that for the ship reward token daily? Though grabbin flag is such a pizzer most the time.
Herogen could be a good idea..if the area went battle mode and they actually invaded for 15 min each hour.
Most rewards are useable only in risa or non battle ..wow ,fluff it up if u that bored ,i guess.... the teenage boys ooglen' virtual bikins is bout it,what a lame tease to fall for.
PVE and battlezones are dead , the very next day after crystal ended cause this event! thx 4 nothin sto ;u can keep your free ship and virtual underwear.

The reason why the powerboard race couldn't be the way to get the ship is because it wouldn't be a race if everyone got the prize. (And if only one person got it, the forums would be ablaze with rage.)
While yes, I'm sure that there's plenty of teenage boys ogling their female characters, they're easily ignore-able. Besides, what was Cryptic going to do? Not have swimwear at their beach party?
The queues are dead because everyone is tired from doing the Crystalline event on all their toons. Nothing to do with Risa.
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
Personally I like having fun on Risa. The Flying High is done and over in a couple minutes. Yeah, so Spiral the Tower is bugged, everyone found that out quick, but you only need to complete three routes, so that isn't a game-breaker.
The PvP race is for monkey tags, so you can raise baby monkeys and turn them into markss. What the monkey guy does with them when you turn them in is his business.
The Horga'hn hunt is mostly for favors, but also for eggs to hatch into baby birds that you also raise to turn in for marks. It's all fun.
The dance party is strictly for fun and 100 favors.
Sand castles are still there, just not on a specific time. Anytime you feel like building one, see the Arenologist at the Promenade.
Barring doing any of that, simply veg out in a lounger or toodle around in your floater or zip around on your powerboard.
The only event I find annoying and don't do is the scavenger hunt. I despise Qwen anyways.
But the idea of Risa is not to have battles and violence, it's simply to relax and enjoy yourself. No one is forcing you to go there, so if you have a hard time letting your toons relax for a few days, then stay away. But don't come in and whine about it. No one cares.
And if others want to ogle my toons, it's fine with me, and it happens all the time. Hurts no one. Get your pants out of its wad and have some fun.
Build your friends list and get in a fleet of folks who will play with you. If you find Risa boring, there is no reason why you have to participate. If the people you do want to play with are themselves having fun on Risa like many of us, don't you think your attitude might just rub them the wrong way?

1.) Floater thing is awesomely simple & fast for a ship; so shush!
2.) Yes, powerboard would be better w/o stupid grab the flag at the end.
3.) Summer event is kinda about 'relaxation' so enemy invasion would be weird.
4.) Yeah, hate how most stuff you buy is only usable on Risa. (But understand we'd have bikini clad toons all over ESD if they didn't.) And you don't have to be a teenage boy to ogle virtual bikinis.
5.) Yup, Cryptic is addicted to Events. I don't think we've had a 2 week period in the last 3yrs where something wasn't going on. I would assume logons drop a lot if there's not some draw.

powerboarding for the tokens is a terrible idea way too many possible problems.
I got doffs, modules, and a few of the uniform parts that are not the swinsuits... in less the changed it when I wasn't looking. oh and a ship seem like plenty of off risa and battle stuff.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
As far as the CC event goes that is pretty boring for me because all you do is go in and pew pew for two minutes and its over. Boy what fun that is
The good news is, it's completely 100% optional.
If you don't like it.. you simply don't go there.

The Horga'hn hunt is another fun thing. Flitting about on my floater, gathering statues and favors and the occasional egg to hatch into a colorful bird.
Dancing is another fun thing, especially sharing it with a friend. And you get 100 favors for clicking 38 times. Less if the caller calls out duplicates since you get credit for it automatically. I've learned to tolerate the odd, screechy female voice and the slightly perverted-sounding male voice. But that's just me.
I don't do scavenger, on account I despise Qwen and Ferengi in particular.
I don't mind the ogling and others pming me, telling me how attractive they find my toons. That's a compliment. I don't mind if others want theirs to look nekkid. It's all good fun. Let the disco balls and party poppers fly!

Ahhh, you gotta love those that complain about a tiny bit of effort to get a ship. Seriously, do you really lack the skill and co-ordination that badly that you are struggling to use a keyboard and a mouse at the same time!? I play it on my laptop using the touchpad and keyboard and have zero problems.
Also, this is my 5th year in Risa, and I'm still loving every minute of it, especially as I'm not rushing for kills!
So yeah, how DARE people take timeout of fighting to relax on Risa and ruin YOUR game! Grow up OP!
Well ..i see so many thinks it worthwhile.... glad, I can disagree in free world> I did figure the floater finally ,but not impressed..is easy though (if your key binds r not f'd up,like mine were)
I did spend a few hours to try absorb the atmosphere and figure the events ... alot time there for very little return.
There are summer activities that are real fun they could put instead,of stuff like dance emote or the hunt
How bout am underwater spearfishing ,or scuba course.... maybe some kinda mountainbike type speeder...
Relaxing is nice ..but what Risa is missing ,are the weird encounters ..like Kurk had in TOS. ... Those Risa holograms don't always work properly;)

1 The first few days for of risa are a great way for new players to get millions of ec grinding favors, on the first day its 1m per run, with 3 runs doable on even on the rented floaters, and there are bound to be online vids showing how its done.
2 A T6 ship for 3 mins a day vs 1.2-1.5m dil, how long does it take to grind 1.5m dil?
The accolade for the artifact hunt is what I'm currently interested in, though the RNG will likely become frustrating by the last ones.
I usually don't get the ship. But I got a few items over the years. Sunglasses, swim suits, and some gear for my Kits. Which some I still use.
