Looks like the game has a hit a point of:
1 Power creep
2 High dil to zen exchange rates as a norm
3 A lack of willingness or ability on the part of cryptic to produce smarter elite level play
So if only the first two can be addressed, what do you want: cheap zen with more power creep or status quo? I say this taking the view that most players won't throw tons of dil at cosmetic unlocks.
They could do fixes like special reward stfs behind a dil to enter pay wall, or new fleet holding, buts it tough to see those eating a lot of dil for very long, especially with players having six figures plus of refined dil stashed.
High zen exchange rate vs dil sink and more power creep? 16 votes
Accept that dil to zen is high and constrain power creep
More power and more zen, dps arms race gets racier - cube 1 shotting uber turret or whatever

Anyway, we don't need more DPS at all for crying out loud!

1 A dil sink is added or dil drops are greatly reduced. Simple making dil rare drops the exchange rate but not the effort required to earn zen, which is the real issue not the nominal price.
2 The only effective dil sink grants players gear for more deeps
1+2 imply a choice between the status quo, which has everyone bitching, or a new dil funded dps race. Just wondered which undesireable outcome people preferred.
Outcomes in which cryptic develop a ton of new challenging material with smart AI, are about as likely as a fat star trek nerd getting an actual orion girlfriend.
New ship doesn't = I win. Can have a Scimitar doesn't equal instant OP.
No vote, for obvious reasons.
It inspired me to write my first poll from its sheer badness.
Outside of the UI, part of the lag issues are caused by all the fragging powers they keep adding. Buff bars now stretch to almost the width of a screen! Any more powers and I wouldn't need beam arrays, my toon could just get out of his ship, grab the buff bar and whack the Borg to death with it!

THat made me lol.
so does cryptic avoid the issue once more or do they actually do something that will no doubt anger some of the community for the sake of balance which game has not seen at all since i have been around.
too many people are blinded by what they think is balance, i suspect even some devs as well, a fresh point of view would show that maybe there are things that could see a balance that otherwise would of remained out of sight of some people because of how blindsided they are with their own point of view.
businesses have to adapt or they could stagnate and die. games like this also need to adapt or it could lead to it falling behind its direct competitors like SWTOR, EVE and Elite for example. but of course these type of comments are never paid attention to when calling for change, because cryptic does what cryptic wants.
too bad though and something of a shame.
as for the poll, i couldnt care to even notice it
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
