Framerate issue since Thurs 19 May patch

I used to have this problem after the Delta Rising update, but was cured for me in or around the 11.5 release.

Well, since the last patch, its back. :(

Rather hard for me to track down as can be fine in some areas and then can struggle in others, frame rate goes from great to really low ( 5ish fps ).

Areas of note so far include :

Tau dewa sector, Narendra patrol : all things are fine until the Hirogen open up with weapons fire, then chugga chugga chugga, regardless of gfx settings. Gets worse the more Hirogen ships are present.

Badlands : again things are fine untill fighting starts, but so much goes off here i cant tell exactly what is causing the fps issues.

Bio Torps : unable to tell if its a particuler flavor, but bio torps fired on torpedo spreads kill framerate in a very nasty way.

These are the only areas ive come across yet but could be more.

To be clear, had these issues after the DR update , not before, was fixed around teh time of 11.5, and came back with Thurs 19th May patch.

Hopefully someone at Cryptic and spot this post, but if not, anyone else have similer issues and maybe any way to help negate some of it? I've tried messing with gfx settings etc, but just as the last time i had these issues, has no effect at all.

P.s

I'm running a AMD card so i dunno if this is part of the AMD problems that seem to have gone around lately.

I have FPS issues but they don't seem similar.

    Spec
    CPU: i7 3.7Ghz
    RAM: 12GB
    GFX: AMD 390 8GB GDDR5

I'll start by saying I don't have these issues with Crysis 3 or other graphically intense games.

For the last several months I've had FPS issues on ground mostly. I've noticed it has improved slightly after the recent work in the last release on Risa, but only slightly. It's still a problem on New Romulus and not great but playable on Earth Space Dock.

On Risa or New Romulus it's fine as long as the camera is pointing away from any major buildings, trees. In space I get over 60FPS, but on Risa looking at the main buildings or on Romulus looking towards some foliage it can drop to 4FPS. Even turning off nearly all the graphic options setting it to horribly low settings, it only goes up to 12FPS!

I've tried it on one other computer with an intel card and see the same drops. I think someone's serious dropped the ball somewhere because it wasn't always like this.

For info, I have tried upgrading and downgrading drivers with no affect.

Be interesting to see if you also have a AMD card travel to Risa, turn on the FPS monitor /show_fps (or whatever the command is) look at the central building and see how badly it drops.

    Hey Guys,

    Sorry to hear that you've been having these issues. But this thread may help shed some light on the issue. I might also ask, to try and get a better idea of what's going on;

    - Are you noticing the frame rate drops in certain instances? If you change instance to one with fewer players, does the frame rate improve?
    - Are you noticing any discernible pattern to the frame rate drops? (PvE queues, Space/Ground combat, social zones, single-player story missions)
    - Have you tried adjusting your settings to remove the damage floaters generated from other players/entities in missions so that the only damage floaters are those of damage you're causing/receiving?

that appears to be unrelated to the problem... borticus already mentioned that the changes to the powers might not have any effect on frame drops at all
