AMD display driver crash

  So far the crashing seems to be limited to ground based game play have not crashed while in space also the crashes seem random sometimes I cant go 5 mins with out a crash then I go an hour or so with out a crash

  It's not the drivers! It's the game code. This was an issue a little while back and it was fixed for a couple of weeks at best. Dynamic Lighting, Shadows, and something else are all a part of the issue. Personally, these issues make me play other games instead of wasting my time with a game where they can't seem to fix something properly.

  I seem to have *mostly* fixed it on my PC by turning off dynamic lighting. It's not entirely solved (I crashed once when I spun the camera around too fast), but I don't seem to crash just by playing the game, now.​​

  ill try that this is really sad that this has been a issue for a long time i really wish they would get their heads out of their TRIBBLE$es on this FFs its been a problem for a long time

  Still having this issue in DX11, DX9 works fine for me. It's a big turn off when I have a 390 and can't even use DX11.

  I have lowered shadows down to low and haven't had a crash since the summer event started. This is only a temporary solution though to PWE's sloppy code. At least the game remains playable though so you can get your dailies done and get the free ship.

  Had this happen only when running in DX11 mode. Other modes work fine.
  
  I think Cryptic has pretty much abandoned further work on DX11 mode. It has not seen any updates or improvements in a long while.
