Romulan ships Dead inside.

My recent musing have lead to the realization that the Romulan republic ships are loaded up with people/crew but they feel very dead inside.

No duty officers not even a bartender despite the little 10 forward knockoff mess hall. The Fed and KDF ships have all of these and even some specilized engineering Doff's to assemble various schematics and other semi useful items.

Romulan ships are very much dead inside.
Why is this so?

I'm more annoyed that my Rom's crew can't seem to follow the orders I gave to have all Federation trespassers pushed out the airlock ...

I'm more concerned how they fit 250 people inside of a Tholian Meshweaver...

Seriously it is smaller than a Defiant class, with 5 times the crew... must be standing room only or the ensigns are stacked up like cord wood...

Why do you still go inside your ship?

But all the plants, they live...

Seriously, yeah, the Romulan interiors are a by-product of the "modern" interior age - stick all your contacts on the bridge via console - there you go.

At least the Romulan Interior has the "dead decks" to visit, all the lockbox and event ships don't even go that far...

Tholian Extradimentional Technology - much as another famous "ship", it's much bigger on the inside...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

    It's a Tholian ship. It's transdimensional.

Some of us do for RPing reasons. I go all the time.

Still waiting for them to hook up trophies in Romulans.
It's completely unfair that we are the ONLY faction in the entire game that cannot display trophies on our ships.

Specialist doff contacts can be found on a bridge terminal in republic ship interiors. That way they're accessible for people who just want those without all the traipsing.

fun fact: if a non-RR player uses that console they see a different list of missions than an RR player. :p

It feels dead inside? What about cold and hard and petrified. Lock the doors and close the blinds. We're going for a ride.

I think the Republic interiors are probably the best in the game. They're certainly better-designed than the old Fed ones - those need a serious update to the new styles they introduced with the tutorial missions.

But the Republic ones have a lot of different sound assets depending on where you are, varied looks to the personnel (duplicates, of course, but there are a lot of models being used), all of your officers are actually properly at stations and in different seats, the lighting is awesome, etc.

And that singularity room is one of the coolest locations in the game. So is the engineering lab next to it, so awesome.

That must be why when one blows up it sometimes spawns a mirror universe rift....????

I agree with Chipg7 the interior is the best in the game. That is one reason why I keep going back. Like the OP making those characters work so you can order food/drink, trophies, other bridge set up options. To me that would make it even better.

For RPing, I go to my interiors all the time. Before and after each mission for briefings/debriefings, to hail commanders for my new mission or report in when finished, at times I act like my ship is down so I can visit main engineering, or go around to visit other places in there for reasons, and finally there is where I supply my ground crew with food/drink. This is why I like to have some of this working on the Romulan interiors as well.

the RR hasnt been completed by the devs, it still isnt completed and im not convinced it will be in the future. however, interiors are seldom noticed much by cryptic because they do not sell as well as they would of liked.
