Desirable Bridge Officer Traits, Species, and Genders

I have many bridge officers stored away, and am curious if there's a market for collectors, min/maxers, and roleplayers that want certain combinations. I'd hate to dismiss them if there's someone out there that might want one I have.

Unless you're a Romulan captain, not a particularly big market, ones with Efficient Trait have mild value.

Now if you are Romulan, BOffs with Superior Romulan Operative are worth a mint (lower Operative versions still go for nice prices), Remans with versions of Infiltrator are decently costly.

I have it on good authority people will pay millions for duty officers named Sega. People will buy all kinds of things in this game that might not necessarily have any value beyond collectability. People used to pay millions for alien females just because of the customization available. It's basically a fact that there are people in this game with stupid amounts of money that are buying anything and everything that strikes their fancy.

Females trump males and often purple trumps blue, this can mean that a purple female of some fed allies are worth more than you'd think, sometimes half a mil for a boff that looks worth maybe 20k tops.

Cross-faction ones have some value, like klingon Feds, talking low millions.

Orion females can be worth a half a mil.

Very few of the spiffy ones can be traded, mission drops like Jemmy, Kobali, space potato etc are not tradeable, cstore and lobi store ones usually are, though cstore ones that were bought in a bundle tend to be untradeable.

Some skills are valuable, difficult to find ltcom or commander space skills are can be worth up to a mil, and the boff be worth 10k - the skill vendors are limted in the commander level skills and capts can only make certain training manuals, any of the purple skills might have a nice surprising value:

Obviously A2Sif3 or RSP3 are sought after and jam sensors 3 isn't.

What about ground traits? I know ground combat is not really held up as all that meaningful, but maybe people want a boff that is similar to a television character? Maybe they want a Science BoFF with exploit damage modifiers and super creativity? Or maybe a female betazoid with superior empathy and telepathy just because?

I have never really heard of "Ground Pounders" having specific preferences here.

That might be due to them either engaging in PvP or in Team PvE, and the availability of Bridge Officers is quite limited there. It might be a very small market - without being actually having much exclusive stuff to offer.

One of the good ground boffs is free (Jem'Hadar). The Breen boff people have from back in the day when they did episode replay events. On top of that, a lot of people have at least 1 hologram boff. I'm just missing a sci hologram boff to complete my set.

The Android BOFF, Voth BOFF, Liberated Borg BOFF and Borg Science BOFF are all useful in Ground missions in PVE that you run solo. And none of them are sellable on the exchange.

You have to remember that boffs are stupid, give them a racial trait power, alt firing mode or set clicky and theres every chance it will be spammed, ignored or used randomly. Middling boffs plus good gear will trump fancy boffs in average gear, and any boffs in mk 14 premium stuff would be really hard for mobs to take down outside of particularly tough baddies on elite.

Yeah... Class, Gender, Race and Rarity contributes to the value of the Boff.

I just sold a Very Rare Female Vulcan Science Boff for 9 million EC two days ago. I believe there were 9 other very rare Vulcan science Boffs listed on the Exchange, but all of them were males and the most expensive one was selling for 8 million EC.

I could have put a much higher asking price; like 15 million EC. But I decided to keep the price "reasonable".

Lol, maybe I should start kicking off doff assignments again. And I mean the "reward" ones you get after completing all CXP tracks.

Yeah, there are less very rare Vulcan science Boffs on the Exchange compared to very rare Romulan Boffs with SRO. Which is why I think the very rare female Vulcan would have even sold at 15 million EC.

Selling Boffs can be relatively lucrative. In one month I netted around 15 million EC across my 5 KDF captains selling very rare female Orion science Boffs. The selling price ranged between 600k to 1.1 million EC depending on scarcity.

Unfortunately, the Exchange got "flooded" with these female Orion science Boffs to the point where I bought several for as low 50k EC. I'm just holding on to them for prices to recover.

    - - EDIT - -

Actually, in hindsight I should have kept the Vulcan Boff for myself. One of my alt captains has a female Vulcan science Boff which I thought was very rare, but was in fact only rare. Too late... the Boff sold on the Exchange before I double checked that captain's Boffs.
