What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

Unexpected error has occured

For the past day and half I have been unable to log into Star Trek Online. Every time the Launcher verifies, patches, and when the Engage button is clicked the window disappears and a white box appears stating and "unexpected error has occured. Asking for a description of what I was doing and report it. I have.
To try to fix it, I have used Arc Repair, Force verified, restarted Arc and my computer. I even uninstalled STO. But now when I try to install it, a small word in red letters appears in the small "box." The word "Error." And when I mouse over it I get the "an unexpected error has occured." Is it just me? If so, what can I do? If it's not just me, what is being done?

I am doing a new install on a new laptop and having the same issue. Any issues right now with downloading/installing?

    Thanks.

oh its a so called error, but it really is incompetence. People just have a nice way to bend the truth, so it fits them as positively as possible.
There is no solution, but to try another computer to login from. Randomness is a trait most common to incompetence.

could be a dx11 issue, try choosing dx9ex if you can, there are some others' topics or posts on that or related issue and how to do that if you can't fire up the game (e.g. in safe mode then changing, as some said, or in game's launcher's options adding a command line settings as others said), so I won't try here again my noob non eloquent non accurate elaboration hopefully :)
Example of other's post relevant to dx11/dx9 issue, without any responsibility:
How many have tested locking down the DX version? Under the launcher command line(bottom of options) enter "-d3d11enable 0 -d3d9ex" for DirectX 9EX. If you're low on memory(mine's an '11 i3 2gb laptop), end Arc before launching. Also it seems since the server upgrade, I no longer have to use the Win8 compatibility(but keep Admin checked). Another thing, enabling the RAM loading/less streaming setting in the advanced graphics settings(top one) seems to be doing its job better...Good Luck, Brad

However, knowing it MAY be related, may help you still.
Regardless, please make sure the error notification is closed (notification area may be a place you can find it) before you try again.
