I'm having the same problem, and it's already been reported on the Tribble Bug thread by several others. Hopefully they're already on it. I had logged in just fine a few minutes ago but had to restart. The launcher received a 20 MB patch, and since then I can't get in.
I had something similar to this last night too.
When I attempted to log in using the ARC system, the launcher updated. When the launcher opened it immediately crashed with a Javascript error.
I then tried Neverwinter, and got the same thing.
Updated my Java client, just in case. Same results.
I used the the local executable file to launch the games, no issues.
For those who don't know... you can bypass ARC by going to where the games files are stored on you local machine.
Usually, this is C:\Program Files(x86)\
Look for either a folder called Perfect World, or Star Trek Online
In there will be an exe file that will run the launcher locally.
I have heard bypassing ARC gets you banned or talking about it on forums gets a ban because it allows people to break terms of service and mod the game client side. The game is now being updated for a few hours it always does this to me on update day so wait till noonish and try again and you will be able to play

What on earth are you talking about? a huge number of players play via steam and don't use the ARC client...
The arc launcher gives rewards for using it, if you run the executable file you will miss out on those account rewards. But if it is allowed then okay
This is true.... but... you can launch ARC on it own.. and get at least the rewards for signing into ARC and still launch the game launchers via the local method.
Im new so, was just going by a person who was using glitches I wanted to find out how, and they said something like don't use arc and get client mods, it was weeks ago maybe longer and I dropped it, sorry. I don't use Steam only ARC. Does Steam give you account rewards just like ARC does because I will use that if it does. Thanks for letting me know!
The launcher keeps crashing. Was fine a few hours ago.
anyone else having this issue?
I have the same problem, but the patch downloads actually wiped / corrupted the whole game. All it get it is sticking on Patching and it goes no further.
I then looked in the folder where the files were as suggested in this post and clicked on the exe. After that the game started but gets to server login and crashes. I just get denied access due to server not being found. I closed the game and tried again thinking it was my firewall blocking it, but its not my firewall or any w#setting on my computer.
I looked in the game folder and then found the issue, the patch had corrupted the files which it needed to run so nothing I did could possibly work.
Now for the 5th time in 2 weeks I am being forced to reinstall this game due to game bugs.
So far I have had the game crashing on start-up, due to file/patch corruption, (after a patch) then, after another patch, the game wouldn't allow me to play in any other window mode other then full window mode, even though it was working before patch in Full Window mode. Then another small patch came out and it crashed again, then another then this one.
I do not mind downloading a working game, and I like this game quite a lot, but it does get a little tiresome having to re-download the game every time they do another upgrade to the game. Makes me wonder how others cope if they didn't have a fast connection like me. 12 Gb in 30 mins isn't that bad, just glad that I have 100 Mb download speed
Yea still having problems. Right after I made this post I got the game running. Got home from work 10pm, launch game 3 times to get it(now patching for thursday)

Beats not being able to play at all.
I'm not sure if Steam offer rewards.. sorry.
No, steam does not offer any reward similar to ARC.
