Fleet T6 ships not available for discount nor no T6 trait?

The wiki doesn't say anything about this so wondering if anyone knows anything about this. I'm looking into purchasing the T6 HEC and wouldn't mind upgrading to the Fleet version if possible.

Thanks

You get a discount, but fleet ships offer no Starship trait. For that, you have to level the base version.
This and the fleet ship also dosen't have the console, that's also a store thing.

Is there really a point to the Fleet version then?

More HP, better shield mod, +1 console slot (sci in this case) and in some cases seats get tunred into universals though not on the T6 HEC.

The idea is to buy the C-Store ship, which will have the Trait and the console, and then the Fleet version (for only 1 ship Module), which will typically give you and extra slot and somewhat better stats.

It's funny. People don't mind buying ship skin twice. Fleet ships come with some hull customizations if you are in into that sort of thing.
Some have now bought certain ships 3 times from cryptic , some ships only twice , before T6 the whole fleet ship idea made a little sense , to upgrade a ship you own , Now seems more of a grab to me , you get no discount on a T6 versions , while you still get a discount for fleet , if you bought a long range sci and keep buying youve bought it 3 times with 2 fleet versions thats 5 ships total .

Every time they add a new version they also add a console and set bonus for the group.
Ships go on sale fairly frequently, but the real kicker is that you dont have to "buy" any of them.
Case in point - I wanted the Pathfinder , I purchased the Refit with Dil conversion a long time ago giving me the Nadeon Detonator, I then purchased the Retrofit some time later with my veteran token but very well could have done a conversion again giving me the Ablative Generator, and most recently i converted 900k Dil into 3k zen and purchased the Pathfinder giving me the Aero Console. With the addition of the Aero Shuttle bay the Intrepid set was increased from a 2 item set to a 3 item set.
After completing the Mastery on the Pathfinder I then took 15mil ec and bought a single fleet ship module and purchased the Fleet Long Range Science Vessel T6.

If time is more important to you than money than by all means you CAN purchase the Zen and get instant satisfaction. But with patience and persistence there is almost nothing you cannot get in this game without spending the time to acquire it. You can earn around 1k Zen per month by converting dilithium if you just save up.

Incremental improvements are the entire basis of MMOs in general , And for a f2p game STO does a fairly good job of giving you more than one way to do everything.
