Coming back to STO, What's changed in the last 2 years.

Done with Neverwinter and the dishonest dealings from the development and management teams in that game. I have funds built up from zen and regular currency from when I played STO a few years back. I have several level 50s who were close to BIS for the game at the time that I returned to Neverwinter from that games previous beta.

So what should I expect in STO. I am sure that I should be pretty sub par as a captain now. Even though I have pretty much all purple gear. I also was never kicked out of our starbase/guild/whatever it is called in this game again. So I think they have a fully fleshed out starbase. Where exactly should I begin.

Fed side I have 50s science, tac, and eng captains.
Klingon side I have a 50 science, and tac.

2 years huh? Well, here are the details of the latest season:

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Season_Eleven:_New_Dawn

I would recommend scrolling to the bottom of that page, and you will see a table/list showing all of the seasons since launch. Find whichever one you remember last and read up from there.

Ok, so I've been reading up that a complete skill revamp is coming. Has a ETA been delivered on that, or is this just a future ramblings to keep interest in the game. And do you guys feel that a skill revamp is needed in STO?

I loved the space combat much more then planetside combat. I also see some stuff about specialization for captains. I'll keep reading. (At work right now, so I cant exactly hop on and play around.)

It's in testing on Tribble. Check it out yourself if you're curious and wish to help. (Beware, currently you cannot copy characters over there, for the first week, they want to test the levelling process and require you to make new characters there.)

I am not sure if there is a fixed ETA, but a few weeks from now seems likely.

Ok, so I should kinda coast along for the next few weeks until this happens. Considering my inventory on every character is completely full maybe I should take the time to do some housecleaning. :)

    What's changed?

More emphasis on selling C-Store ships, less emphasis on actual playable content for the game.

Microtransactions have turned into Macrotransactions and it's only going to get worse with time. But hey, don't take my word for it, see it for yourself and come to your own conclusions.

I believe people should make their own informed decisions, after all.
It's not you- it's me. I just need my space.

Being critical doesn't take skill. Being constructively critical- which is providing alternative solutions or suggestions to a demonstrated problem, however, does.

Iconians came and went, sector walls came down, skills are about to change, and the delta quadrant opened up, think that's most of the big stuff. Oh and T5s are obsolete nowadays, and level 60 is max level now.

I've been across the tracks playing Neverwinter. So I know all about the dealings of Cryptic and PWE. I have a build up of zen and the regular currency of the game. So I can float along with that for now. I suspect I'll probably be out of here when BDO goes live. But I cannot guarantee that either. I will not invest in a MMO again and have done to me what the developers here have done to the player base. And to think I loved these guys while I was with CoH. I considered Jack Emmert a friend.

Money can indeed change everything... for better, or worse.

That's the reason "business ethics" exists. The question isn't "Can we do such a thing?", but rather "Should we do such a thing?"
