Graphics issue. Please help.
Morning all,
I have an issue I've bought a new high end gaming laptop for the move from Mac to windows. The specs are on the link below.
The error im getting is when I have every setting maxed out the game crashes before the charater select screen, but if I turn shadow to low its works fine, its a full gaming laptop so it should play high spec dose anyone with windows experience have any advice? I refuse to accept a full gaming laptop can't play with shadow on high. Thanks.
Rob.

I'm going to use the SWAG method (Scientific Wild TRIBBLE Guess), and say you have anti-aliasing set to something besides 'none'. I have a computer that's crazy powerful. All my graphics (including shadow), are set to max. No problems, smooth gameplay.
One day I'll determine why my graphics stuff doesn't like anti-aliasing, but it sure doesn't... Might be the version of D3D, but I can't be bothered. Having too much fun in the game to worry about a silly little thing like AA.
Also, Windows Maximized seems to work much better than Fullscreen. I'm not sure why... AMD's can sometimes be nitpicky.

If you have a gaming machine, I'm sure we can get you in the game.

I can play the game just have to have all the lighting and shadow off or low
OK, just to make sure, if you aren't 100% sure you have the Win10 driver (i.e. you upgraded from Windows 7), go HERE to download and install the most recent Win10 driver. (It's the GeForce website)
Once that's done, launch the game, and get into your display/graphics settings. Change your video card from 'Auto', and try out some of the other settings. D3D11 is more recent, but D3D9 is more stable in many situations. (I don't have a problem running D3D11, but many do).
Once you change that, click apply, and OK, you'll need to restart the game for the changes to take effect. When you restart, then try to add the shadow.
Let me know how this goes. With a video card like that, you should be able to have all the lighting and shadow you want once you get the settings and drivers right.
