So, where are all the flagships?

So back in the day (ok, let's say pre-DR), I remember that when a new ship came out, it seemed that was what 75% of the ships flying around ESD were for a few weeks. Heck, this even seemed to happen after the Command Battlecruisers dropped last year.

But as I fly around and do my Omega dailies, I find myself wondering, where are all the flagships? In particular, I have maybe only seen one of the the new Federation ships in person. Is this anyone else's experience? I mean, if what I'm seeing is representative of the ship's sales, I'm half expecting them to "slap a hanger on" the Fed ships this week. ;)

Short of a Cryptic employee coming out and talking sales numbers, this sort of anecdotal evidence is really all we've got...but what do you think? Is the T6 Odyssey selling less well than previous ship releases?

I have not picked up the new flagships yet. Annemarie30 has and you have to look twice to tell. I need to find out from her if the t5 set works on the T6 ships

Based on all of the threads here, I'd guess people are buying these at a normal rate.

Hard to say - I've seen the usual cluster of Scimitars, for instance, but they may be using the classic skin.

Nah, not calling doom today. I'm sure the game's doing alright financially, regardless whether these ships are a commercial success or not.

I was trying to gauge this for curiosity's sake, and thought about using the forum post count. But I know from over the years that forum population =/= game population.

I think anybody that brought one, is using classic skins. :) Also they are not 5/3 weapon (except the roms :) ). There are already so many 4/4 ships, Why buy another? The ships also don't change to the "DPS meta". That's good though but means no reason to buy. :)

I was going to get the T6 Oddy Bundle when it first came out, but it wasn't on sale (not that I really expected it to be).
Then I noticed that I hadn't purchased the Fed. Command Cruiser Bundle yet and it was on sale.
So I spent my ZEN on that instead.
(next ship sale, I'll probably get the Oddy one)

I'm still using my T5U Tac Oddy and probably will until I can afford one or two of the new ones with Dil.

I have saw a few around, when I was playing over the weekend. They are around. I didn't get one, since I don't like those ships much. Plus there is other ships I want first.

I've seen them everywhere. I haven't been able to go anywhere since they released without bumping into one. What surprised me was that the tac model seems to be the most popular. I thought people would pick up the pack and then stick other visuals on it, but maybe they're just buying the tac version on it's own instead. Either way, I see them all over the place. I'd say they're selling extremely well.

I just saw one Oddy in orbit over Andoria. And at release day, 1 or 2 Borts in Qonos orbit. Plus the usual Scimitard spam. Personally, I see no reason to buy ugly space whales or Reman doomsday weapons.

The bundle WAS on sale. 2.5k for single ship, 5k for a Faction bundle and 10k for the lot. Oh, and I've seen plenty of T6 Oddy's around!

For Feds...it's another in a line bloated with Command based Cruisers...I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't sell the greatest.

They were all on sale even if it did not say this explicitly since it was a ~17% off, not the full 20% which when calculated only amounts to 400 zen extra on the 9 pack. Not sure when the next C-store sale will be, or whether packs or brand new ships qualify for that first sale, so it will be a while.

I have seen the new Odysseys around, and more Scimitars, but granted not as many as the Jupiter when that one first came out. Mine are still packed up in boxes/C-store since there's too much micro-managing of different alts to do, plus there's the freebie Krenim Sci vessel to level and that alone takes some time to set up on alts with whatever gear happens to be laying around. My alts will definitely hop into them soon and ditch that hideous Rezreth monstrosity, but KSV might take priority on some of them.

Well... I did the three pack, but with the event ship,, them, and upgrading components on my main vessel... they have had a bit of competition for flight time.

I think the trick here is that most people are likely to stick with the Sojourner, since it still gets SA and thr most sci consoles, and the Sojourner looks so limilar to the old ship, its hard to tell them apart :disappointed:

Ive defenately seen my fair share of all of them though, i think everyone is just still too focused on gathering Omega to worry about their space barbie right now.

I think you mean "Yorktown" with Sensor Analysis. The Sojourner is the Engineering variant with the rounded saucer.

Ive seen quite a few. Of course it will take time for them to show up more frequently. Not everyone can throw time and money out right away to obtain them. Some are using the T5 skins, so unless you inspect their info, you cant tell.

I've been seeing the new T6 flagships left and right over the past few days, and of all factions. Most of the ones I've been seeing have been kitbashed (customized) to varying degrees.

This thread must be a joke. You can't throw a rock in Sol system without hitting a dozen odysseys.

Not sure where the OP is hanging out in game, but I see the Flagships everywhere.
    Insert witty signature line here.

I see a lot of the flagships flying around for all 3 factions. You can't go anywhere without seeing them. It's unusual to do a queued instance and not see one of these things. I can't do a Red Alert and not see several of these things with lots of Scimitars making short work of things. Anyone saying there's less Flagships flying around this game right now is a straight up liar.

The question however is which is a T6 version, which is strictly T5, and how many out there bought for the traits. I know some out there bought the T6 Flagship but didn't like the T6 visuals so are sporting the T5 parts. And seeing the T6 specific parts marks the ship as T6 of course.

But make no mistake: Flagships are flying around everywhere. I expect the numbers to lessen a bit as time goes on; That happens with every new ship release.

I got them. Unlocked the traits on my Romulan and went back to my Faeht. It doesn't turn like a dumptruck.

I have them pimped out on my Federation characters as well, but can't seem bring myself to play with spoons for a bit.

Other than that I see them everywhere. Go sit outside of New Romulus. You would swear it's Scimitar mating season.

The Super Charged Weapons (Starship Trait) with the All Hands On Deck (Starship Trait) works very well for me.
    Positive thoughts.
