Rewards are good, but its not engaging in the slightest. Something I click for a few minutes and then ignore until the next day usually.

I would even go so far as to say the rewards may be too good for the almost zero effort that goes into it. I leveled 4 alts from 51 to sixty, and filled out almost the entire spec point system on my main for basically no effort. I could probably have maxed out all my alts now as well, but it got boring fast.

    Good
    I like it.
It's "just" a mini-game, but it gives good rewards and creates - within the context of it being a mini-game, of course - some interesting choices.

The math is simply and straightforward, compared to the Duty Officer System. (It's very "unCryptic", compared to the rest of the game.) The interesting choices are a result of the limitations you have - the amount of ships you have at your disposal, and the number of mission slots - and the events. Picking the best combination of ships requires some experimentation ,despite the simple math behind it.

The ship traits are simple, in general, but they add intersting choices - you can just send a high value ship with good benefits, but you might also send a combination of low tier ships that negates the events or adds synergy bonuses to compensate. You might sometimes decide to not go for a 100 % success chance because you can get almost there with a single ship that has loner-bonus.
In the DOFF system, low tier DOFF are only useful for grinders eventually, but this system makes all tiers useful.

Ive been doing it regularly for some time on all of my 7 characters. After a while I just couldnt stand doing it again and again. The rewards are good, though. And it does feel fun to figure out what ship one should slot, but too much of something... you know how it goes.

    Terrible
    Terrible

It's just not what I envisioned being an admiral would be like. Not at all. Years ago I was expecting to one day pick boffs to promote to captain and assign them one of my older ships, then have them follow me around as "pets". "Admiralty" could easily have been the name given to a new, independent skill tree for buffing these pets.

Instead, we got the (imho very stupid, unimaginative, and BORING) doffing system with a new coat of paint. If some of my toons weren't stuck on leveling I never would have ran a single mission.
