I want a T6 Wells and Mobius. Nicest looking ships in the game imo.

Everyone here who has temporal ships should do a gathering one day, and take some wicked awesome screen shots.
Like a Car Rally kind of thing.

Technically we haven't seen T6 versions of any lockbox ships as the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship was never in a lockbox, per se.

I still hope they'll look at doing something like a 400 Lobi upgrade fee for the old lockbox ships. That's big enough to encourage people to consider a new ship first but small enough you don't have quite so much risk of alienating big spenders.

I think a big thing to consider as they bring new ships forward is if the right BO specializations exist.

Intel for JHAS makes sense. The Mobius would be, what? Command? I think it needs a spec that doesn't exist yet to justify T6.
400 Lobi is like $100 USD worth of lock boxes assuming you get very unlucky and only get the minimum amount of 4 Lobi with each pack you opened. As an owner of the Mobius and Wells, I can tell you with certainty that I would never spend that much money to upgrade them to T6. Specialization seating, a starship trait, and an extra BOff ability slot are not worth that much.

However, it would be nice if they allowed all the old T5 Lock Box/Lobi/Promo ships to be upgradable to full T6 status via some ZEN token or Dilithium fee. That would allow people to upgrade them without too much expenditure that they'll be discouraged from doing it again. Considering that all those ships are character unlocks and, for the most part, go for hundreds of millions of EC on the Exchange, the thought of needing 400 Lobi to upgrade all of those Lock Box/Lobi/Promo ships on all my characters is something that makes me want to quit this game, LOL.

so what your asking for OP is another rich whales toy that only the whales of the game could ever afford?

That's why I suggested 200 Lobi. 100, which was the Lobi Store price difference between T5 and T6, and 100 for the Ferengi in them.

    Yes.

So, yeah, while we're at it, why no new T6 Mobius?! I would expect the T6 version of it to be launched, together with the Science T6 ship (Paradox).

Don't hold our breath for it. It's obvious that they did the Temporal Dread instead of the Mobius T6. Kind of similar what they did with Jem ships (giving us the "Strike" or "Recon" ship a instead of the "attack" ship T6). Don't think they can't rename the same ship 2X.

I lose track of this stuff as a lifer. I doubt they'll listen to me on pricing strategy anyway unless I had access to their numbers and then they'd want to know how I got access to their numbers.

What I can do is say, "If X is within the range between Y and Z then promotional offer N will work."

    For example:

Rereleasing lockbox ships as new T5s provides both a revenue, represented by new sales, and a cost, represented by burnout, lost sales of varying types including cutting into sales of other things in development, labor used to prepare the new lockbox, lost key sales that fund purchase of the old inventory on the exchange, etc.

These things have to be estimated. I'd really like to think they have calculated the opportunity cost of burnout (both short term and longterm) and can apply it to new decisions but I think that's probably a bit more sophisticated than the math they're using.

There's actually some loss they incur when they give away a ship. Not just a lost sale of that ship or character data access/storage but as a player's ships approach their ship limit, you run the risk they won't buy more ship slots, they'll avoid buying more ships and stick to what they have, they won't trade off until they complete their current mastery, etc. Risk premiums out the wazoo. And thus the ship upgrade tokens and drydocking, while generous that they gave some out, also exist in part to combat risk premiums and real costs associated with players bumping up against ship limits, either the actual slot limit or their willingness to pay for more slots. No slots (either due to the limit or an unwillingness to buy slots) and too many non-reclaimable ships and somebody stops buying.

And, heck, maybe they need to go through and add another 1000 days of vet rewards that are just various kinds of slots and services so they can stimulate purchases.

I've got 11 or so ship slots, 1 open. I'm not keen on buying more slots. 75 odd Admiralty cards. Most are non-reclaimable ships. My drydocks are full. I'm going to be very unlikely to buy more ships. I'm at a point where throwing me a free claim of 2 ship slots per month would probably get me to spend down my stipend after which I might try to drop some coin on the game.

Likewise, I'm not doing a lot of gear upgrade because my bank and inventory are pretty full and I'd rather save my ZEN for something flashier than bank slots. Throw me more bank slots or ship slots to store gear on and there are a couple of gear sets I'd buy and upgrade.

So I'd rather use an upgrade token than have a separate ship. Granted, that means the upgrade needs to retain all the features of the T5 version.

The Temporal Dread is more of a Wells T6. I think the Prime counterpart will be a Mobius T6. I can't imagine they'd pass up the chance to move another ship that basically just requires taking the Paradox and adjusting a few meshes from "bat" into "jet" and shuffling Tac and Sci stations.

Yep, that was exactly my rationale, and why I was surprised not to see a T6 Mobius released in tandum with the 'T6 Wells.' Basically an upgrade round for both Temporal vessels.

I would disagree that the Paradox is the T6 Wells...
Wells has no hanger, and its no where near as big as the Paradox.
A dreadnought is its own class, the mobius was a destroyer, and the Wells was a science vessel. 3 different ship classes.

I consider the Paradox "within" the temporal family, and it takes some styling queues from the Wells and Mobius, but it is not a straight upgrade of either one (Wells and Mobius) its it's own unique thing.

So I still want a "real" T6 Wells, and a "real" T6 Mobius.

I am hoping that if we get another temporal ship it is not a prime setting temporal dreadnought, but a prime setting temporal carrier. Then i would hope they allow you to use parts from each of the temporal ships in this family to customize each of them abit (not full on copy past just some tweaks to give more options that give a feel of each.).

I think what I'd like is if we could swap BO stations within a family of ships. Even if it was limited to an all or nothing swap.

    I don't necessarily mean Escort/Cruiser/Science, etc.

    I mean treat Nebula/Galaxy/New Orleans/Dreadnought as a family.

    Mobius/Wells/Paradox as a family, etc.

That gives Cryptic plenty of room to market niches while giving us better ability to fly older ships. I bet it's also handy for marketing things like the Nebula or the New Orleans.

If they allow just ANY swapping, they cut into new ship designs.

I would imagine this could be done as a variation of the ground kit technology, only for ships.
