I can't believe I missed the Ship Giveaway.

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
From all the advertisements about the free ship I just assumed that is was all about the quest from Q, so I've been on doing my dailies... only to discover by pure luck about it and the fact that I missed the give away for some free high class ships by mear hours. I didn't see it advertised at all, only Q's quest, and now I'm just the saltiest...

    it's just a t4 ship.......the krenim ship is way better

    Its ok you can still earn the other ship that is a fancy science one that will just be used for admiralty stuff.

    Well, it's 3 t4 ships but yeah it's not the end of the world. Add the fact that those quad cannons are also terrible and the only thing the OP really missed are the skins for their T 5 & 6 versions. Only on rom & fed side though, as usual klingons don't have an endgame counterpart of that raptor. ><

    Who cares?! Those be crappy T4 ships anyway. Like I have available slots for those! If they start increasing the ship slots limit, maybe then we're talking. (Nah, probably wouldn't fill those up with TRIBBLE ships either). The short of it: you missed nothing. :)

    rest easy the Q's quest ship is much more worth your time then the giveaway ships, still sorry to hear you missed a freebie.

    I used to collect every single ship that was made available to us for Real Life Money. Then all the TRIBBLE with the Odyssey started. Who the hell wants three of the exact same ship? Why not just make some of the seats universal? For Thirty Dollars a ship? Thirty Dollars!

    LOL, you are not the only one that missed the free ship. I had to deal with a family emergency most of the day so it wasn't at the top of my list of things I need to focus on.

    Why is it that people claim Quad Cannons are so bad. They are better than practically every other energy weapon at DPS! I've yet to find a DHC that matches it's DPS output. Seems just people's inability to differentiate better Damage per Shot and Damage per Second to me! With my EPIC Quads, I've managed to push DPS to a tad under 2k DPS without using an abilitys and only 2 damage boosting consoles, DHC come at less than that.

    I like the quads too - when put on ship that can turn.
    When put on some whale of a ship, or caught by that fregates in Time and Tide - Ouch - the small angle of QuadC and DHC on my escort really hurt me that time :/

    crit stackers don't like them because they don't have critD mods.... that is all.

    I only got the Fed ship because I haven't leveled my Klingon high enough yet and don't even have a Romulan...

    Yes there is. In fact several. Try taking a look at the T6 KDF escort Carrier Raptor or the T6 pilot Raptors or heck the Matha Raptors.

    Op don't sweat it they were standard T4 ships. And the give away was all over the place so no idea how you missed the give away annoucement.

    I'm very aware that there are some T6 raptors but my point is that there is no Puyjaq/Pach other than their initial T4 version. The carrier raptor is a member of the Qin family (also the first zen ship of that family), the Mat'ha being solo and the pilot raptors also, understandably, sticking to their own pack.
    The klingon shipyard is a mess with lots of models stuck at lower tier and no hope of ever being seen gain.
    So while the other two giveaway ships still have some use since they unlock an additional ship skin the raptor is just pointless.

    Hmm I believe there is a T-5 version of them. Could swear I have had them on one of my Klingons.
