Tarantula dread, guess I can scratch that from that post in that 2016 wishlist tread I made a while ago . That t5 tholian escort looks nice. I assume its rare and will need an upgrade token for a t5u. I like what I see so far and temporal dread being a lobi ship means it wont be that hard to get.
Guys, the Lobi store is far more accessible than a lockbox prize.
It isn't clear altogether whether both Terran uniforms are for Lobi or if one is C-Store but it is a fairly exotic uniform. I'd be curious to see the Romulan and Klingon uniforms mentioned, actually, and whether exchange officers can wear those since it's unlikely Feds can open the Klingon box or vice versa. (I tried getting the Korath unlocked on my Fed for my BOs that wear Klingon uniforms and it doesn't work. I really want my Gorn in a Korath but since I can't open a Korath and the Wells doesn't unlock the Korath for BOs, it's a bit frustrating.)
I was terrified the Temporal Dreadnought was going to be a lockbox grand prize or an R&D pack grand prize. Being Lobi makes it accessible. It will continue to be accessible. It also PROBABLY means that the EC price on the exchange is more likely to drop over time for those who can't or won't directly spend. They aren't going to stop dropping.
I would like to see what Temporal synergies it has. It seems like it should be able to use the Mobius console and possibly any timeship console -- and MAYBE the Krenim consoles. Likewise the Krenim ship should be able to use, at least, the Krenim ship consoles and possibly any timeship console. Any of these could mean we're in for new set bonuses.
Since the new Krenim console can be used on any ship, maybe it will have a set bonus with Temporal Warfare set?
Was on the twitter page.
That it for Roms? Just sleeveless? I'll keep my lobi then. Buy more Tholian pets instead

FED oddy variants and, as you see, the KDF are up to the same thing. Only Jupiter mirror uniforms come with anything else (so...are they really going to have all 4 added to the lobi store when one [that jupiter] clearly comes with more stuff? Could just be set at different prices, but this lock box costume splurge is still a little odd.)

Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!

Give me a no-undershirt variant, like one of the Fed options, and you get my money. Feds have more. Full stop.
I still hope it's just one of variants, and not the only option for non-Feds. But I won't hold my breath until I can check it on the Lobi store.
Holy hell, am i the only person that likes the lockbox? everywhere i look all i see is people hating on a feature, That is completely optional! just quit complaining and enjoy the game, if you don't like the way it's done then don't participate...
Personally I'm quite looking forward to it especially the Mesh Weaver!
Or we could enjoy playing the game and dislike some business practices, but still be willing to pay for them through a system that doesn't involve gambling.
I will pass on this lockbox. The Tholian Tarantula Dreadnought Cruiser is a great ship but they messed it up in my opinion. It's web cannon should have been it's built in lance, and for it's console it should have the same console as the Bortasqu Command Cruiser(the subspace snare). The Temporal Dreadnought is also missing a built in lance. The lack of lances make them both fall out of the dreadnought category.
The changes are in on Tribble now, and the 3-piece temporal set bonus is a 10% bonus to sci recharge and 50% recharge bonus to the temporal consoles. That means you can now Manheim and Tipler once every 60 seconds. Considering Manheim lasts 30 seconds, that means 50% of the time you get +100 to all resists now. Damn!

If the changes are in on Tribble... that means we don't actually get the things, because, well, there are no lockboxes. Unless they're giving them for free or a discount, in which case, count me in.

You don't need to get the things to see the set bonuses that are on items already in the game like the Tholian, Temporal, or the new Stealth Fighter set for the Valiant.
You get some boxes and keys on your live toon, copy said toon over then move the keys and boxes to the shared bank, then repeat as many times as you want. I have my shared bank completely full of keys at any given time there. You can't do it until the lockboxes are on the live servers, of course, but most of the people who play on Tribble on a regular basis do this to test box items before blowing a bunch of Zen or ECs on them.
Here's hoping the costumes--at least the Odyssey Mirror costume--is in the C-Store. If not, I will not be spending any money on it. It makes sense to be in the C-Store as that is where all the other Mirror and Jupiter costumes are. The Lobi store has mostly been alien/future costumes anyways.
Also hoping these aren't just a straight copy over of the the Enterprise mirror universe with ugly shoulder badges and that we can actually use any combadge we want along with regular pips...
Mirror costumes are Lobi store purchases, which if I see right is 150 Lobi per character you want to unlock just one set of costumes on, 350 if you want to unlock all the new costumes for each character. Note the mirror faction costume (Odyssey) is 150 lobi, and is the only one available for the Romulan and Klingong factions. The Jupitor costumes obviously are only available to Fed characters.

That is very nice — but is the two-piece bonus unchanged? Because currently, it doesn't do anything if you've equipped only the stabilizer and the Manheim device.
Very disappointed there are no duty officer packs. The Tholian duty officers from the Nukara lockbox would have been a natural fit. The temporal duty officers from the Temporal lockbox would have been nice, too. New Terran duty officers would have been very nice. R&D duty officers are in short supply and those would have been fantastic. Even recycling mini packs from past lockboxes would have been okay, like the Reinforcements.
I'm not daft enough to count on getting a ship or special console, nor very interested in agonizer weaponry. Bonus pools are okay, but not a primary reason for opening a lockbox. They don't directly help me build my fleet or improve my characters. Give me a reason to open the lockbox and take a chance.
I console myself with the thought that there will surely (?!?) be a new duty officer promo pack coming at some point. I really liked those and felt they were a good value. Surely???
On top of being locked behind lobi... the Terran Jupiter Uniform pack is bugged. No shorts showing on the tailor for a lot of people. In spite of the fact they are clearly shown in the description.
Very disappointed that the new Mirror Outfits are Lobi purchase per character. Would have happily spent Zen / Cash on them, but not wasting Lobi on a per character outfit.
Mirror Universe uniform sets in the Lobi Store -- as single-character unlocks?
Honestly, I've spent more money (and grind-time) in STO than I care to admit, largely because I always felt that Cryptic was fairly good at balancing its desire for profit with maintaining the goodwill of the majority of players.
But this just feels like a specious monetization bid. They're costumes, for Nimoy's sake.
The irony is, I've been the very definition of a " gamer whale" when it comes to Star Trek Online -- but I hate feeling like I'm being screwed over, especially when it comes to something as petty as costume unlocks.
And, unlike many gamers, when I start feeling screwed over, I actually do something besides complain.
When games start to routinely do bad-faith things like this, I consciously start to spend significantly less money on them, if any at all.
This whale has also been known to take his aquatic cash and swim away entirely.
In other words, Cryptic (or Perfect World, or whoever's behind this decision) smarten up.
These sorts of weaselly decisions will get you less of my money, not more, and it makes me seriously reconsider why I'm spending money here at all.
No customer likes to feel like prey.
Deaf ears? Probably. But everybody gets one warning, and this was it.

Well, at least I'm not the only person who feels like they've shelled more cash into this game than is probably wise. I worked a minumum wage job for six months and spent enough money here to get a lifetime membership, so of that money came from my saving account (which will not happen again). But spending money for this kind of poor consumerism? The only way I will ever get those is by turning dil into Zen and opening those boxes. Cryptic can kiss my money goodbye.
I was even thinking about getting a lifetime sub, too, when I get my new job.
I was hoping the new mirror uniforms would be available from the c-store. I'm not going to spend all my money opening hundreds of lockboxes just to collect enough lobi. 150 per character? Sounds like a bloody moneygrab to me.
Yeah. You want my advice, grind that dil. And, if we can get good enough, I've found that directly contacting the dev team does the trick. Like, full force, all of us write up stuff for the customer support team. Bog them down enough and they'll get fed up and give us what we want. I dunno, I tend to have a wierd way of looking at things. Still, I want those uniforms, but it'll take forever to get 'em by farming dil.
i want BORG lock box and i want CUBE...very,very...
1-
lock box ship - can be character locked ship
lobi ship - all- should be account locked ship, becouse they are so expensive...and in fact not so good
2-
for zen we should packed again ship to box so we can sell it...i think this are good idea
I like the Mirror Universe uniforms, personally. My only gripe is that, since only your faction's uniforms appear in the Lobi store, there's probably no way to get the Mirror Universe uniform for your Marauding Commendation Boff from the opposite faction.
Thanks Cryptic, for including Mirror uniform options for all three factions! Picked up a Mirror Republic uni for EC on the Exchange, and it looks awesome! Have a few of my more badass BOFFs in it, plus it's a neat option for my commander.
Next time I'm on Nimbus, Vulcan or any other warm climate, I think I know that my away team is wearing. Keep cool, look awesome
Apparently, the mini-Tholians have a 'scan' emote (which summons one of their distinctive holodisplays) and noncombat pet of their own, as seen here. It's a shame those aren't available for players for whatever reason.

Actually.... that's the same model used for the capture web drones. I think the mini-drone is trying to cast webs on things but failing.
That would be cool to have as a kit module. the web is kinda like stasis field but lasts a bit longer. AND it has the benefit of being performed by a pet and not by you.
I would of been happy to of shelled out for more C store coins for the Uniforms. I'm a life-timer, But per character buying by Lobi, no way. Never
Wonder if Developers read the Forums? - Well messed that up.
So many Uniforms available for account in C store and the One I had most anticipation for is a Lobi purchase???
Well hot damn, they're on the Exchange? No need to spend Lobi, guys, find yourselves some EC!
Yeah, no. They seem to think that these costumes should cost the price of enough fleet modules to get one or two T6 fleet ships, which is frankly ridiculous. To put this in perspective a C-store costume pack cost 550 zen, whereas a T6 ship costs 3000 zen. So one costume pack should be worth 1/5 of a T6 ship, not the same price or double the price.
I find it kinda craptastic, to get all the options shown in the Terran Empire uniforms...
The Leeta Dagger Armbands dont show up for Male Toons (But in the Preview Pick they do)
The Cloth Terran Empire Armbands are shown with the Leeta Unforms, but Ive yet to see this option, and Ive heard you need to buy the Terran Ody uniform to get them...
You dont get all the bandolier options shown...
And Ive yet been able to access the shorts on my toons...which again Ive been told the only way some people unlocked the option was to buy both sets...
So seriously, do I have to spend 350 Lobi, per toon to get these items you say are from 1 set...or do I have to spend 380 million EC...I mean lets get real...
