New polaron omni-beam dissapointing

So I saw the weapons rewards and I was initially excited we were finally getting an extra polaron omni-beam so I could finally have two polaron proc beams on the aft weapons (Crafted and rewards). Sadly, the polaron drain was taken out in favor of a different proc. Why did polaron have to be the one getting screwed over in the rewards omni-beam department? On top of that, I have to slot another one of the gimmicky weapons to get the set's bonus. Couldn't you have left the drain proc alone and not required two of the same gimmicky weapons?

    The drain proc does literally nothing to NPCs, so I fail to see why you're complaining that a useless proc got replaced with a useful one.

    Phasers don't have a omni set the last one didn't include one so honestly your lucky... Plus it's a rather nice proc, phaser proc has sucked for a very long time.

    That's not entirely true. If you boost your flow caps enough, you can get over 50 power drain. NPCs power levels are 50/50/50/50, so you can shut them down completely when it procs.

    @cryptkeeper0 Not a set, but there is one in the Terran box as a rare(ish) drop. No sure whether this works with a crafted one, but I would expect it to.

    Are we talking about the polaron beam array from the new mission? The beam array I got from the episode was only a 250 degree. Not an omni.

    I have 85 drain. Would have loved a full set of polaron beams plus the KCB.

    You're new here, you don't know lucho...he loves power draining and is all about it, and I'd guess you're kind of new to the game...if you stack a decent amount of flow caps, you can do some mean stuff to NPC's...besides...it's not like you need most things to have their shields or power down for 20 seconds for it to die.

    Who says they're 50 across the board, heck I have had to drain as much as 100+ to get a Borg vessel to drop its shield completely!

    which leaves Disruptor and Plasma as screwed on the 360 beam arrays.. and they have he best procs

    I am sorry but could you please clarify this? Do you mean the mirror incursion box or something else? There is no Terran box as far as I know. With these new agony phasers I would love to have two Omni directional phasers and a cutting beam on the back of my manticore.

    The Mirror Box Terran Agony Omni isn't equipable with a crafted Omni. I don't know if this is as intended or not yet? @pwlaughingtrendy

    One weapon isn't the end of the world Lucho, if your making an energy weapon build than procs are somewhat pointless anyways and if your after the set bonus it's a small price to pay really.
