hmm you've tempted me to go for the tarantula. tho 5.5 million or so/key should be enough for the temporal ship instead.

It's the unique ship bridges i collect, so a new Tholian ship is disappointing for me. But since info about the bridges are rarely available i'm fingers crossed one has been made for the Paranormal Dreadnought and it's not the disappointment of the generic one as was the APU Cruiser, Malon Battlecruiser, Nihydron destroyer. Perhaps someone can confirm when they have one? I'm already saving my Lobi.

That console might be nice on my tholian themed orb weaver. Not sure what to expect from agony ship weapons though.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

lol, Tarentula for the players; next time the voth citadel. why you can't use your imagination and create more interesting things, and keep to our ennemies their ships and flagships??

    in 1 word: ridiculous

Best part is, you do not have to buy it! So don't gripe about it :-)

the problem is not if i can't buy or not this ship. And, in fact, I don't care if players use them (after all, you are free to do what you want :) ). the problem is the totaly lack of imagination of the devs, + some ships shouldn't be available to the players; come on the flagships!!!!
+ no counterparts for the temporal ship (I mean no romulan or kdf models)

    this is absurd.

they should make faction lock boxes, when you open a box; your faction decides which ships you will have. for example I'm a rom, I open the mirror box -> a mirror romulan T6 ship, I'm a fed -> a mirror fed ship etc.

the idea of the mirror ships in the old boxes was very interesting.
now, they do the minimum, and everybody is happy :p

Please excuse me while I dance around like a silly person over getting 'modern' Mirror uniforms finally. Who says we players aren't listened to? We asked and now we've recieved.

I don't typically like to get on the forums to complain, nor do I usually care about lockboxes. I don't participate in the gambling aspect of the game and refuse to pay for a "chance" to "win" something that is bound to character. Normally, this is fine as I have no interest in flying alien or enemy ships or wearing alien or enemy uniforms. I am more than happy to pay for account unlock items like ships or uniforms.

This lockbox, however, has chosen to put an item that a significant portion of the players are going to want (the mirror universe costume) behind the Lobi store. That is very disappointing. As the Romulan and Klingon costumes are just Republic and Bortasque jackets without the sleeves, this makes it even more unlikely that I will pay for each character to have them.

I certainly understand that the lockboxes are good revenue generators for the game and, despite zero interest in them, don't think they should be removed. However, please don't forget about those of us who are willing to purchase things outright.

I'll just hope that, perhaps, an Odyssey variant and other Romulan/Klingon variants will appear in the C-store. Since I will also not pay the ridiculous prices charged on the exchange, I suppose that is my only hope of acquiring a Mirror uniform newer than TOS.

Ok a Mirror lockbox that has nothing to do with the mirror universe. Tholians have there own lockbox this should have one of the tier VI ships with a mirror skin or at least a mirror dreadnaught not a tholian ship. The only thing that is related to the MU is uniforms and there in the lobi store. Bad news Cryptic I think you have dropped the ball on this one. This could have been the best way of getting money from us by something many of us have wanted for a while, Ill pass this time as well

I am agreeing that Players shouldn't get the option of flying Boss level ships, just feels cheap and wrong. For this box would have loved a complete Mirror theme. Right now the uniforms and ships weapons are the only tempting part, depending if the uniforms are lobi store or not will determin if I try to aquire them, since the wording for getting them was lacking.
Space is vast, it's wonderful and maddening. Yet in that madness is some of the greatest beauty I have ever seen.

Really looking forward for the stats of the Tarantula. Been asking for this a long time ago, so big thanks cryptic!! On the other hand, I am rather curious as to how it will compare to the Annorax, boff layout, weapons and consoles distribution.

    I have my reasons.

Never mind that it makes no lore sense whatsoever for many items currently in the lobi store to be there instead of an appropriate rep store. For example: rad crystals and web grenades, being reverse-engineered from Tholian technology, would logically be available from the Nukara Strikeforce... recall that TF Omega's store[/i] does have relevant consumables available.
I certainly understand that the lockboxes are good revenue generators for the game and, despite zero interest in them, don't think they should be removed. However, please don't forget about those of us who are willing to purchase things outright.
Indeed, sir. If I recall correctly, the average cost of lobi store outfits is 200 crystals. Assuming the most conservative return per box (4) in all cases, that comes out to 50 keys or 5,625Z (5 10-packs - 1125Z ea.; reference). That's more than ten times the cost of outfits currently in the store (550Z).

I would also point out that the MI Intel assignments should be available from the Terran Task Force... the idea of gambling for them is ludicrous.

This said, many of the things in the box are quite interesting - for example, the new traits and kit packs seem to work well in concert with some science and intel abilities; and operating one of those Tholian ships would be just plain fun - however, the noncombat pets seem a touch underwhelming this time around.

This lockbox seems...lazy. EVERYTHING is already in-game. The pets are just smaller variants without the texture maps. There is NOTHING new. It's just more copypasta.

Also, its getting out of hand that we can now pilot Enemy NPC Mobs Boss ships now. Those should be off-limits. But yeah, like the above poster said, I'm sure we'll get a Voth Citadel and Borg Diamond soon enough. :/

For the most part, this is how lockboxes have always worked. We got a few original ships lately, but in the long run many lockbox assets have historically already been in the game. The Cardassian, Tholian, Dominion, Elachi, Voth, Undine, Delta, Vaadwaur, and Herald lockboxes all had their assets in game before they came out, and the Hirogen replaced the old ships when it launched.

Why? Because art assets are expensive, and a lot of people like the ships they see in game and have wanted to fly them - in this box, the Tholians have been requested many, many times over the years since the Tarantula first appeared.

If nothing else, having the ships appear in the lockboxes upgrades those thips in game. You can bet that the Tholian ships in game will in the near future be using the powers from the consoles on the ship and from the pack in their PvE incarnations.

Sadly, it appears the hotpants option is only on the female uniforms, and since all Gorns are male.....

What a shame, you're locking off those uniforms as character bound items, in the horrible Lobi store....

If they were account unlocks, they might've been worth it.
Agreed. I consider putting such deeply wanted costumes in the lobi store as an expression of hatred. Or Greed. I can't decide. In any event unless a substantial number end up on the exchange the price won't be low enough for me to get, basically ever.

    Deeply disappointing.

That Temporal dreadnought though...BOSS. Hope we don't have to fight that thing.

Did I miss something or did those uniform options not mention where they could be purchased from?

(The logical assumption is the Lobi Store, I know. I just find it kinda odd that that specific little detail was omitted lol.)

I am hoping they are a C-Store purchase. Everything in the Lobi Store clearly states it will be in the Lobi Store. If they are a C-Store purchase, I will definitely buy them. If not, I can live without them.
I can only hope they're in the C-Store.

I will BUY a C-store uniform. It's also logical. All the other Mirror Uniforms are in the C-Store.

That said, it was announced in a Lockbox announcement, so that destroys any hope I have.

Rumor has it that the Gigantic Gorn are actually the females.

Presumably though the Gorn are like Salarians and have very few egg laying females that are heavily protected.

Unless Alternate McCoy was correct and they give live births.

Okay I have to say that today is the first day that i went super hype on an announcment you made in a long time. Tholian Dread?! Hell yeah! Tholian Mesh weaver t5 escort, YES pls. ^_^ and temporal dread is just the cherry on the top for me.

Just a little thing before i get the tons of hate replies that how bad I am etc... I mostly (90% at the time) fly dreadnoughts. My main is a romulan skilled specifically for exotic dmg, and crit I enjoy flying scimitar a lot. New kara isn't that bad either but still. Now you giving 2 super cool dreads out is just music to my ears. Also lot of ppl will just hate things like this because its not their liking, or it isnt free, well i suppose it happens man you cant get everything for free go and do something to get EC and buy them off the market or wht not. Or it doesnt have a layout for SUPER OP MAXDPS that makes a juicy vid on youtube with 1000 views in the first day. ( I never get these btw..whtever...)

I do not know if its management change or smthng really, but what ever happend I like it. the assigment things that comes from the box sounds cool with those rewards. Also the uniforms look very awesome, and I dunno why (it might be me missunderstandin it) they wont be bound to toon as many said, but ur fed wont be able to wear the damn kdf one, how sad right?!

So yeah anyways I am looking forward to see these in the game, and I think im not the only one! Now I have reason to log in more than 2-3 times a week again

Yes and no. This box TAKES THE CAKE as it's using assets that have been in the game for YEARS. The only thing new is the temporal dread, really, and the traits. The other lockboxes generally had more stuff. But flying boss-level ships is absurd.

Honestly, a better option would be a special mirror variant of the fed Dread.

I *will* be getting that Temporal DN, just to complete my Mobius/Wells set provided the stats aren't overwhelmingly bad. The real questions are whether or not the new console with it is the 3rd piece of that set, and whether or not there will be Mobius or Wells frigate pets available (unlocked by owning the ships, of course). It would be pretty awesome if so on either or both counts. I am betting the latter is the case, since they already have the pets in game, and it will of course encourage people to spend even more on boxes to get the old ships. I also hope they didn't forget the Aeon skin for the new ship; it should look awesome in that.

It'll also be interesting to see if the Tarantula console brings about the long-needed 3-piece Tholian set. The Dominion and Ferengi got theirs, it's only fair the Tholians get one as well.
