    Good one! While I’m an old ice runner veteran in my fourth grade and do it during lunch break a lot of peeps in my armada turned out to massively annoyed over it because of lack of knowledge and experience.

    It’s one thing to explain how it works over a chat but another one to learn it with such a tutorial. Thanks for it, I make sure to pass it on. :)

    i have had the same problem with chat and i could not explain it properly without showing what i mean. Hence this video tut :)

    The tumble method i really dont like cos if you would roll/tumble in the wrong direction ... its a preference i guess. I rather jump :)

    Could be, I haven't lost a race yet this year , but the boundries seem way more forgiving and the track isn't as slippery as it used to be. I've lapped the player ahead of me twice already this year. Weird.

    Trust me, I am really bad for races in video games.
    But for this one, I don't need anything. I press shift for sprint, I press R for auto move, and then old my right click button to turn my char around. I don't stop, I don't roll, I don't jump and I win everytime. Can make a video if someone don't beleive me.
    I am from Belgium and english isn't my main language, sorry if I make mistakes.

    Interesting. Not sure system exploits are something Cryptic would want to promote. Honestly, I'm surprised after 5 years, people are still struggling with this. Once you become familiar with how to drift the turns, (which one moderately, intelligent individual should be able to do after participating in 5 races) you should be able to sprint both courses in their entirety, wearing frost boots. It's really not that difficult.

    Right. Because everybody has been here for 5 years, and no new players joined since the launch :tongue:​​

    As for the PvP race, that's basically what I do, only I run in shooter mode and turn the mouse. And I don't jump or tumble, unless I think I'm getting too close to the boundary.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    Everyone was a new player once. So what's your point? That Cryptic should make sure all new players have an easily accessible place in their forums, to learn about system exploits? That's just silly talk!

    *Amused* I've been here for three WW and I never tried either race until this year. Eventually I learned how to deal with the curves and obstacles, but the tutorials in this forum were quite helpful too. I adapted a lot of the hints to my runstyle, which is probably different from others, but it suits me.

    Tried that. I must have done something wrong cause my opponent passed me up. Anyway, I found what works for me, every time, so I'll stick to it next year. Depending on if I want whatever ship they'll offer.

    100 runs and 2 losses by DQ, and the snowmen still DO pummel you while your running the race. Is it too late to read this 'how too' post ?

    Yeah, my son would get pummeled by snowmen if he ran during the snowball fight. I never did, don't know why.

    Edit: I never got pummeled if I ran during snowball fight, if it happened while I was running, it was like the snowmen couldn't see me and would slide right on by.

    Snowmen only pummel you if you are running against NO opponent. They ignore you if you do.

    Ah, I see. Thanks for the information. I guess the times I ran during snowball fight I had an opponent, cause I remember several races with no opponent.

    So sad this event is going to end soon ... :(

    But on the other hand the anniversary is going to start soon.

    And then the (Risia)summer event.
