End of Q's Winter wonderland approaching - what's next

We've officially entered the last week of this year's winter wonderland (2015 that is) which will end next Friday.
What do you folks think will come next?
- A filler week with an event ala Elachi alert and then the Anniversary?

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

There is a dilithium weekend going on this weekend as well.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
I was a bit surprised that no announcements were made last week. I was eager to hear what we can expect for the next couple of months/ for the new year. There also haven't been any patch notes for a couple of weeks now (both on the live and tribble servers).
We've been almost a month without new content and information releases and changes now; I hope we'll hear something soon.
It was already overkill in 2015 with winter -> anni -> crystaline -> delta.
Not necessary to kick off 2016 with a grindaversary chain again.

with past anniversary events there has usually been a feature episode (last year it was "Dust to Dust") that pays 400 tokens as well as the usual mission rewards for the first play through and then added to this 600 tokens are made up from the event daily mission (last year it was the “Omega Molecule Stabilization” game) for 40 tokens each day for 15 days to total the 1000 tokens required to get the event ship reward.

Anniversary Event is going to be the next big event! The lag is going to be amazing and I still vividly remember doing the last Anniversary with serious rubber banding and the original, cutthroat nature among the playerbase for scanning particles. It truly brought out the best in the playerbase that I always knew existed
Actually I did not. In my country, everyone had resumed work and school last week already. Don't know if it's different in the US.
Personally, I am looking for a bit of "quiet time" because I just started playing STO again recently... just in time to barely squeak through the Winter Event with the necessary 1,000 vouchers by this Wednesday. Kinda happy that there is a Dil Weekend coming up since I need to refill my coffers. But I would like to take the time to play the story missions again which I stopped playing back in April 2015.

Then again they may just do away with that award as it is really moot with Account Unlocks in place now. If they did award it only to the first run per account it would have to be an Account-bind award as you may not want the first character to be the one slogging though the Unlock cycles.

2014: Season 8.5 and 4th Anniversary both came out on Thursday January 30th, and featured the start (so far) of a yearly cycle that consists of us running a mission to get 400 anniversary tokens, which go toward the a redemption of the anniversary ship (the Solanae Science Destroyer). As part of the .5 update, we saw the revamp of the 1st Federation storyline, quick equip system, starship load outs and the switch starship button to make switching to another starship in sector space quicker.
2015: Instead of a season, we got Delta Rising in October, so the anniversary served as the halfway point for that release and season 10. We got Dust to Dust, the final episode in the Delta Quadrant storyline and 400 anniversary tokens to jumpstart our collection of the Kobali Samsar Cruiser. We also saw the introduction of the Omega molecule collection game which gave us a way to do upgrades without spending dilithium for a month long event and replaced the party patrol as the daily to gain 40 anniversary tokens (Qmendations). More permanently, we got the revamp of the Romulan Mystery for the Federation faction, bridge officer training revamp, Commander specialization, revamped ability icons for player and bridge officer powers, secondary deflectors and the foundry top 3 system.
My prediction for 2016: Unlike some are saying, the next episode will be released as part of the season 11.5 update as usual. I'd say we will see a new specialization (either upgrade of Commando or something new), and maybe another campaign added to the Admiralty system. There's a small chance (but probably not likely) that they could introduce the skill revamp here (since system revamps seem to be popular for the .5 updates).
For the Anniversary itself, we'll see the return of Party Patrol and the Omega molecule stabilization minigame, but rewarding a new currency complying with the changes we've seen over the course the last two events. We'll have a new ship that will be account unlocked using one character. The event itself will start on a Thursday and most likely run for 4 weeks, with them possibly talking about what's to come starting friday (the day the winter event ends).
