Hiya, I'm looking for a high damage build for my tactical. I am KDF. Which ship is currently capable of pulling highest damage and with what build? I have dhcs, dbbs and a neutronic torp all 12s (can make all dhc or all dbb or mix it up with torp) and want to know which is the highest damage before I upgrade, skills I have all in damage, including kinetic/projectile and acc without defense, have flow caps, warp core efficiency etc. Working on plas leech console, got brolth console (battery) as well, have access to high level fleet and enough FC to buy a fleet ship, 4-5 locators and embassy core, got weapons from exchange instead (mostly dmgx3, some dm2 crd instead). I also got 5 fleet ship module, and some saved zen I planned for leech console but can spend on something else if more needed.
What Im looking for is first and foremost, what ship, I was told matha but then some say kurak, then again some insist its bortasqu instead or nausican t6. I would like 5 fore ship if possible but if 4 can pull same or higher damage Ill take it.
Second thing is basically which weapons to keep, do I run it with my dbbs? dhcs better? I have a single torp from rep as I was told its one of the highest hitting quantums in game (neutronic) but unsure if to use it at all since I was told torps lower dmg?
Third and this depends on the ship, a2b still good? What kind of (roughly) setup to use? Which doffs? Do I stack romulan boffs for dmg as well or it only matters for alpha?
I am also looking for a ship that is good now and will continue to be for some time atleast. Also Id prefer fleet ships, lobi/lb ships are fine if not too expensive but like I said id more rather buy fleet instead, but will make an extra mile if lobi/lb ship is considerably superior. I am not looking for zen ships atm for this char.
Last but not least, this is for pve. Have other char for pvp instead.
Please dont say any ship and any build, I am looking for a specific build for this char. also I am not interested in arrays broadsiding for this char.

As far as KDF ships go, the Pilot Escorts are generally going to be the cheapest option for high DPS ships, as they have five forward weapons and some pretty nifty inbound abilities that can help you survive better to do higher DPS.
I realize the following video is geared more towards the Federation Pilot Escorts, but it does give a good idea of what kind of build would be useful for the Pilot Escort, so long as you can get or have the weapons and gear that the video suggests:

Granted you will need to find substitutes for the Starfleet specific traits, but that is about all that will need to be substituted.
You will hear people who rant and rave that Romulans in the Scimitar is the only way to go; personally I feel that that ship is really boring, so I am of the opinion that if I am going to play this game, I am going to use what I find enjoyable instead of whatever happens to be the flavor of the month. But that is just me.
Thank you its much appreciated, the build will definitely help me-just a question, pilot ships are zen ships is there any fleet ship that comes close instead? If possible I wouldn't want to spend zen on a ship for this char.

The best Fleet vessel that you could buy as a Klingon for purposes of DPS would probably be one of the following:
Other than those you won't find much that can really replace a Pilot Escort. Honestly, if you're going to go ahead and drop 2500 Zen for the five Fleet Ship Modules to buy a fleet ship, you might as well just add another 500 Zen and get the Pilot Escort, it would save you hassle later on.
first, define high damage. There are 2 ways to define it.
1) able to spam faw in a 360 arc against thousands of weak targets while over-buffed for the content to fool a damage meter into giving large values.
2) ability to kill very efficiently whether facing groups or bosses or structures. This is the definition I prefer to use.
Here is what makes a ship a "high damage" ship for kdf (the scimitar is a special snowflake):
- intel seats, enough to carry 2 copies of over-ride safeties
- 5 tac consoles, duh.
- 5 forward guns, if possible
- officer seating to support damage (enginer powr to weapons or aux 2 bat or whatever you plan to do, for example, or sci seating for a GW, .. this varys a bit by intent)
- ability to stay alive (dead ships do no deeps)
it took me almost 3 weeks of pretty hard core farming to get my baltim. I suspect you could get any zen ship about as quickly since I was dil2zen for keys and bought about 30,35 keys or so. That would be over 3k zen earned and spent which would net you a ship I think... sometimes you just gotta farm for it.
there is a fleet matha. There is a fleet mogh (meh ish.. 4 tac consoles and inferior seating). The fleet vet ship can be very strong, but you probably don't have it?
Already have five ship modules (thanks to my lovely fleetmates) so no cost needed at all! Which of those you listed, in your opinion, makes the most damage? They're all dbb or should I run quicker with dhc?
Ty
Interesting so youd say t6 guramba has no chances? T6 qin likewise? Is baltim really 180mill worth? Much better then klingon fleet t6 ships?
And nope not a vet/subber myself so don't have access to those ships.
edit No no I dont like arrays and broadsiding I was simplylooking for a build that is simply able to kill things fastest in pve setting, both solo and stfs. Im not too bothered by survivability because in my experience HE+PH is more then good enough if TT is always up, well for a damage dealer anyway.
Thank you, would you run it with DBB or DHC?
I would go Dual Beam Bank, mainly because Fire At Will is considered to be the best Tactical Bridge Officer ability at the current time.
Of the rest, the fleet matha is probably best.
The gurumba is kinda weak. It has only 4 forward weapons, no intel seats, not much science. Its a pretty ship, and fun to fly, but its not top dog dps.
DBB for sure.
The fleet qin is "OK". 4 fronts & no intel IIRC?
-- just because the baltim is overpowered and stupidly good doesn't make the others bad ships. Its just hard to beat intel and tac combo ships and that 5th weapon puts it over the top. And thats why matha comes in at the top of the rest... intel/guns/tac combo. Hard to beat that.
Well you two guys seems to agree that Matha is the best of the fleet ships, and that I should go DBB, so it is. I'll make it so.
I guess Baltim is an upgrade but also pretty expensive, if I find Matha lacking, I'll make the grind for it.
Thank you for the help.
Yes, I will admit that the Baltim is a prettier ship, but sometimes doing more damage surpasses being able to look good. The disadvantage with the Krenim though is that it comes from the Year of Hell Lock Box which is no longer in circulation, so there is a rather limited supply of them, where as with the Baltim, there is as many as people are willing to purchase off the Lobi store and put up for sale on the Exchange.
Great build dude making me consider wanting to try that build
All these are good points. Is there any seriously major difference betwen the KIW and his fleet matha?
The baltim is down the 2 weak aft guns but is more manuverable, flanks like mad, and has better intel seating. This stuff may come down to a question of playstyle, but I am not convinced that 2 more omnis are more damage than a better quality over-ride safeties and that flanking. /shrug probably close enough not worth arguing over which does more dps, but I am curious as to what would make the KIW beat the fleet matha, if you had a though on that...
Imperium is 8 weapon 5 tac console ship, similar boff layout to the ever-so-famous Scimitar, just with hybrid seats, better turn rate but squishier, meh mastery trait vs romulan core skills hangar+frigate pet and cloak on the Scimi - in my experience people buy it and load it out like a Scimi, so there's the appeal I guess. Baltim's completely different world as far as ships go. Different playstyle.
The main difference between the KIW and Fleet Mat'ha is going to be in their Bridge Officer and Console Layouts...
The Fleet Mat'ha has the following Bridge Officer Layout:
Commander Tactical
Lieutenant Tactical
Lieutenant Commander Engineering
Lieutenant Science / Intel
Lieutenant Engineering
It's Console Layout is as follows:
5 Tactical / 4 Engineering / 2 Science.
Meanwhile the Krenim Imperium Warship has the following setup:
Commander Tactical
Lieutenant Tactical / Intel
Ensign Engineering
Lieutenant Science
Lieutenant Commander Universal / Pilot
with a Console Setup as follows:
5 Tactical / 3 Engineering / 3 Science
All told the Krenim has a slightly better Console layout, while the Mat'ha may have a slightly better Bridge Officer Layout due to having better Engineering seats... but I personally would rather have the possibility of having BOTH Intel and Pilot Seating over just the Intel Seating if it were me.
And @theillusivenman is correct, the appeal of the Krenim is that it is basically an Escort version of the Scimitar.
