drones of star trek beyond???

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
what drones are from movie of what race use that class of drones can destroy a entire ship.

    They're new (unless there's another twist coming), so we can't say who uses them from our current pool of ST races.

    Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!

    It is interesting that that race seems to use unmanned drones as ramming attacks. Hundreds actually though.

    All you need is a good engine, AI, and high industrial capacity. :)

    And armor! The drones need to last long enough to impact and heavy armor gives good kinetic damage.

    It worked for the Ancients in Stargate, so I guess it will work here too :p

    This is the most confusing trailer for a movie I've seen in a long time. Whats good about that is that stuff like that is very TOS. Bad thing about it is that... everything else pig-2.gif​​

    Kazon use ramming drones. I'm not saying they're Kazon, just that the Kazon use similar drones.​​

    It didn't even look like the drones are being destroyed when ramming, they just go through the Enterprise like a hot knife through butter......
    How I picture a lot of the forumites :P

    they made it clear it's a new race not seen in the Prime Universe.

    well, they explain in the second reboot that they changed their exploration pattern. The Klingons were crippled... so maybe the Federation explored further beyond than in Prime?
