Okay so I have a hilarious way of racing on the ice. I thought I'd share perhaps that'll make you chuckle at my sillyness. Bah, just watch!

I am trying to aim for the shortest running record. Some mishaps, but we move on with head held high. What about you? Anything interesting you made happen on the ice track lately?

Edit: 2nd video and I got the ships! Hell yeah... Looks like I am a little faster too bahahaha. You should see the grin on me face.

    I need to find a good opportunity to do another run where I shoot snowmen. I did one once where I not only shot snowmen, but still beat the AI runner. :p How? Shoot while moving, a whole lot of it.

    Nice vid, way too cool how you run. might have to work on it some myself. Also loved the music you used, found her on youtube. Thanks for taking the time to made and share it.

    That's actually quite similar to how I run it. Wide mouse swings for the tight turns. I tend to hug the inside and use the snowy edges to avoid some of the drift when I make the really sharp turns, though. Takes roughly 2 minutes and 15 seconds from picking it up to turning it in if I don't have to wait behind someone to start.
    This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    That is how I have done the race from day one.

    Though I have found the run. jump to a stop and then run again method to be faster.

    Theres a guy in my fleet who made a quite convincing "shrek" toon.
    I was doing the race last year and I turned the corner to find him laid across the track, I dont know why but I found it hilarious lol! I jumped over him and continued on my way.

    Personally i prefer doing the race from FPS mode.​​
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    I checked when I did it today, and I turned it in at exactly 2 minutes 6 seconds after picking it up. I think I'll swap to some run speed traits before tomorrow's run and see if that helps bring it down below 2 minutes.

    My usual evil thing is to stop just before the finish line, wait for the AI to catch up then moonwalk over the line...it always amuses me, imagining my guy is flicking the 'V's at the opponent as they try in vain to get to the end

    Of course I do feel -slightly- sorry as I wouldn't be surprised if Q turned them into snowmen as a punishment game...​​

    Oh, be careful with that "Tokyo Drift" technique...I have found myself running the opposite direction on the course by over correcting and spinning completely around. (Yes, I have a long history of being horrible at video games...)

    The boundaries are very-badly defined. And you can jump clear over some of those walls if you jump at just the right angle.

    So the moral of the story is CHEAT! Do it as in Ex-Girlfriend Is Going To Hire An Assassin level of cheating. Just make sure Q is unaware of the levels by which you have not done it properly.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    anyone besides just me turn around and slide through the finish just to troll the npc opponent?

    Yeah, I turn around before crossing the finish, but lately, there's nobody there to troll yet, so I cross the line.

    What opponent? You have no idea just how much I cheat. By the time I get to the finish line, the NPC is still at about halfway point.

    This game is so easy, I don't know why people say they have issues iwth it... they even let you jump ahead of the race before he says go by 2 seconds. You can slide and course correct, you can jump and stop in place... roll.. . so many ways to control your momentum and direction.... there should be nothing to this, even if you gave the NPC a chance to catch up.

    the first one was unwatchable, clearly done from chase cam with keyboard controls only. fairly solid run though.

    the second one was just terribad, also that white skirt looks horrible.

    Personally, I find a strange amount of amusement by having Q change me into something before the start of the race. Undine are kind of bad at the race, but watching a Horta steaming around the track at high speed is pretty dang fun. Jakal Mastiff racing, where the NPC is the same form you are, is pretty good too.
