Why I cannot buy ZEN using Steam Wallet?

When I go to buy ZEN from the game I get options to pay using CC, Pay Pal or Skrill but no STeam, how can I buy ZEN from Steam or it cannot be done?

    That stopped being an option at least a year ago. Apparently there was some sort of falling-out between Valve and Cryptic/PWE. Neither side said anything about why, beyond the usual vague, bland non-statement, ("we're not allowing you to do this anymore, in order to serve you better"). Rumours flew at the time, but such is the nature of the corporate-dominated games industry that we shall never know the truth.

    I share your wish that Steam Wallet was still an option. I still use the Steam client. But nobody gives a **** what I think :)

    At the expense of stoking the tin-foil-hat brigade, I'll take a guess and say the 'Valve Tax' got in the way. I know some other companies that do microtransactions and DLC and such from multiple pay sources have complained that they either have to bump up the Steam price to cover the same cost (Mech Warrior Online), or eat the difference (Elite: Dangerous).

    1) Launch game with Steam
    2) Make sure "Steam Overlay In-Game" is enabled.

    I last purchased Zen via Steam just a couple months ago.

    Same...I just bought ZEN with my Steam Wallet yesterday. As referenced above, you must start/enable the steam overlay.

    This information is completely inaccurate.

    I purchased Zen with Steam Wallet just the other day, it's very much still and option and always has been. The option is only available if you're playing the game through Steam. You cannot use Steam Wallet on the STO Web Site, but if you're playing the game with Steam, you can absolutely use the Steam Wallet.

    Never at any point was the Steam Wallet removed as a payment option.
