Can we Please raise the Un-refined cap DiL

Can we Please raise the Un-refined cap DiL It has been 2 years now since I ask this the first time. Now that Ec has been raised can we do the same for un-refined DiL. I realize you can only re-fine 8.5k a day, but I have a tendency not wanting to play other than new Featured Episodes or events. because of no more gain on DIL, and LOL the DiL bonus weeks mean nothing to me and I am sure others as well meaning I am not excited about it. Please think about it. Thank you.

No, we don't really need a Dilithium inflation.

Sure, as a Zen Buyer and not a Diltihium Grinder, I'd probably get a lot out of it, since I'll never turn my Dilithium into Zen. I don't grind enough for that.

I support this, I want the exchange to raise up to 500 dil to 1 zen.

Or are you really talknig about the maximum amount of unrefined Dilithium? Take a break from the game, you're grinding too much! ;)

The ore cap is fine. 10 million ore would be enough even if it was made account-wide (and it should be). If you're up to millions already, stop grinding for goodness' sake. Storing multiple years worth of ore is just pointless.

Raising the cap for refined dilithium might be useful, though.

No it won't. The price of zen goes up with the increased supply and we're right back to where we started only worse. raise the roof to 10K refined a day and watch the inflation occur 240 becomes a 350 reality. and that is something we don't need at all. Lots of people keep asking to raise or eliminate the roof. But how many would want to see the zen rate at 500 per? I don't. Only the filthyiest greediest (censored)ers in the game would want that.

I don't know why people would grind to the 10 million dilithium cap...my main normally have between a 100 and 120ish k ore, depending on what I do and how much I do...and I think that is to much as it is.

Me neither. I got up pretty high during the first ever bonus dilithium weekend, converting years' stockpile of excess rep marks, but no toon went over a million even then.

LOL Like I said I have been like this for 2 years now and I play properly I just want a reason to play more even though the refine Dil cap would be the same also the daily 8.5k to re-finement would stay the same. I don't see where this would effect anything, but for me and others like me with this cap wanting to play more for the gain on unrefined Dil. FYI I have been playing since BETA of this Game

i wouldnt mind the refine cap being raised to 10k if for no other reason than to make it simpler to calculate how long it will take to get to X ammount of dill. To those complaining about how it will effect the price of zen you are forgetting to factor in that you will have more dill to spend on zen in the first place so it balances out. Oh and before you start complaining about it taking longer to grind out daily ore It dosent take very long at all if you know what your doing and most players have exess ore anyway

Than why ask for more, if you cannot already feasibly refine what you have, what purpose would it serve?

I have never had more then 2 mil unrefined. :hushed: I even cashed in like 50-60k worth of marks in one sitting several months back.

10 mil unrefined is just boggling my mind....
But, I have no issues if they made unrefined limitless, so long as the 8.5k dil a day refinement stays in place. Like OP suggested.

Maybe I spend too much dil, I'll have to watch my habits.
I do tend to dump a lot of refined into fleet projects for quick access to fleet credits.

but seems like I never have enough un-refined for my daily 8k alt doffing/refining.. and that's with me doing all the events, and clearing all the Reps. Would love to have a 10 mil Unrefined Dil bankroll.

What do you do for dil collection OP, now I'm curious ?
Do you run rep projects even if you've finished said rep ? I know that gives dil reward...how about mining ? Do you do that everyday ? I tend not to mine dil unless there is a Dil event ongoing...
Do you have only one character, and therefore, more time to collect unrefined ?

I barely have time to make my 8k/day quota on my main, because admiralty and doffing on 5 toons takes up a lot of my daily play time. Fortunately, admiralty has been helping my alts (and main for that matter), with a good 1000-3000 unrefined dil in rewards (I set my admiralty projects only once a day).
But I'm always short on unrefined, so can never meet the 8k a day refined for my alts. But at least admiralty has been helping there.

Just looking for some tips to help keep my unrefined up.

Obviously you have no idea how the dil-zen market operates. It's a living thing, like the 'Oil' market. If you flood the market with Dil, it makes it more expensive to buy zen, not cheaper! All the F2P players that don't want to spend their Euro's, Dollars, Pounds etc lose out, and it will take LONGER to convert that Dil to enough Zen to pay for a ship. Have you not noticed the rate after the MI event and the introduction of the Admiralty system!? It's now above 240 Dil - 1 Zen. Gone of the days of 90-1, or even 200-1!

Well... there r ppl who have no life... watch south park episode about wow. I couldnt stop LOLing everytime I watched that. I've been playing from the beginning of STO, and the max amount total I've ever had from 16chars is 1.5 mil. PWi would never allow Cryptic to raise the limit 'cause they would lose money from ppl like myself who bought dil with zen when we dont have time to grind. Cryptic isnt responsible for the financial aspect of STO anyway. Remember why they had to join PWI in the first place!!!

To the OP: if you've been asking for 2 years, and their answer is NO... there is no point to keep asking since they've basically answered it lol. You bark on the wrong tree anyway. Cryptics only develop the gameplay under the financial supervision of their overlord PW lol.

I just knew when they raised the exchange cap there would be someone trying to jump on the band wagon, I thought it would probably be the EC limit being as that links closer to the exchange but I knew it would be one of the currencies.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

Erm. It would take just under three years to refine 10,000,000 on one toon assuming the +1500 for the mine and vet and assumimg you routinely login as gold/lts once a week. Why on gods green earth do you need a larger buffer than three years. The alt i have the most stockpiled on right now is around 300k and the month thats gonna take is more than enough. Play an alt or something if its that concerning? Until its refined per the time gate it is a 100% useless resource and i can only assume 99.99% of the playerbase does NOT have this problem. As i said above my highest stockpile is only 300k and i play daily pretty regularly with several kdf alts that find dil *ahem* falling out of the cargo bays of freighters while doffing and running admiralty.

While true what you say, I can understand the OP, in that he/she would like his carrot earned for time played, even if realistically he/she may never refine it all.
OP just wants to feel like he/she is accomplishing something, however pointless it may be.
And let's be fair here, OP didn't ask for an increase to the daily refinement cap. Only to be able to continue to accrue unrefined over and beyond the 10 mil cap.
That's not a game breaking request, you said yourself it would take him/her over 3 years to refine it all. I don't see how it would hurt the game.

Now had OP asked for a raise to the daily refinement limit, then that would have serious repercussions. But what OP is asking for is pretty harmless all things considered.
