That Darned Ferengi Warship...

So I'm getting back to playing just a little just in time for the Winter stuff and I noticed something in the announcements I wanted clarification on regarding the Summer stuff I missed: Does that mean there will be no second chance at the Ferengi warship? The announcements seemed to have indicated that this will be the only chance at this Winter's ship. Would have played, but was busy being a new father. Can't wait until she's old enough to appreciate the old shows ;-)

    I'm afraid that as things stand, you are out of luck. The Nandi was a one-time deal only.

    Unless that business model changes (which I definitely hope it does), you'll miss out on this ship permanently.

    Yeah, it's actually one of the best ships in game.
    4/4 weapons layout, 5 tac console slots, 4 sci console slots, 2 engi slots, 3 device slots, Lt Comm Sci boff station, Commander Tac boff station.
    Its as close to a perfect ship as you can get.

    I'm still amazed they gave this out for free.
    Ranks right up there with the best "Paid" ships in the game, and better then some such ships in many cases.

    But in another way its a bit of a curse. I haven't been able to find a ship I'd rather fly in it's place, maybe the pilot ships come close. But still prefer the Nandi.
    It's a problem because I don't necessarily like the design. But it's just so good, I would be foolish to fly anything else at the moment.


    And yeah unfortunately, they are going to retire all the older Event ships, Devs are on this "Exclusivity" thing lately.

    Congrats on Fatherhood though.

    Thanks, Taylor. It's all I can do not to go out and buy her a ST onesie :-D Still can't believe I"m a 46 year old father. We're adopting from a classmate of mine who's son kept it secret to try to dump the poor girl on the firehouse doorstep. A real miracle child.

    It is too bad about the ship, though. Only one character I'd want it for, the only one with a Marauder, but it would be nice.

    For now, I have to agree that these became one time exclusive.
    That being said, the community has been vocal: the console sets are no longer possible if you missed a ship, and that needs to be fixed.
    TPTB are not monsters, so I am hopeful they will at least permit the ships to be purchased with Lobi. That's not as good as free, but better than no access at all.
    And in the case of the Nandi, it really is a great ship.

    Well at 46, you have experience on your side, and the wisdom age brings ;)
    I'm sure you will do great.
    And I say go for it, get your little one some Trek onesies. That's one of the first things I'd do LOL.

    allows set completion and ship exclusivity at the same time.

    I slotted the Nandi and added 40 to it...but I actually got it on Tribble and didn't like it enough to finish the project.
