Still striving to get the greatest performance out of your equipment? This weekend will be the perfect time to apply Tech Upgrades to your gear, as we’re doubling the amount of Technology Points earned from each one applied!

    You know what id like to see, rarity "chance" changed, it should be something we can work to obtain, not "chance" it like a lottery and hope we're lucky. Like upgrading the mark. I think thats just mean. I always thought this was dirty.

    I guess its a money making ploy on cryptics part, somehow they make money on selling the upgrade accelerators or whatever theyre called.

    LOL. Of course. I had been saving up those 30K upgrades from the missions and used them all last weekend.

    I'm not complaining but I just find it funny and thought I'd share it.

    Last time you also did a small bump to rarity chance as well. Why the change?

    It's not quite like a lottery, as the rarity upgrade will happen. It's just mind-blowingly expensive. Think of this event as a coupon day for the rest of us.

    As the text is exactly the same as before, I assume the increased chance that Bort put in is still there

    If there are any planned changes to consoles/mods or any gear, can we have that info before the upgrade event starts so we don't have the same situation with what happened to the Embassy Consoles, where "cough" "cough" the changes were accidentally omitted from the patch notes and people purchases of zen to dil specifically for this event aren't made null and void Thank you

    The only piece of the Terran rep stuff I would like to upgrade is the Warp Core, but fat chance of me reaching Tier 4 in time before this weekend (what with the damn game refusing to allow me that third Hourly rep project no matter what I do, thus slowing down my leveling progress). :(

    In principle, being able to upgrade just about anything gear-wise, is a great idea.

    But it's REALLY just too damned expensive of an investment for me.

    Timewise, when I logged on, if that were all I was committed to, perhaps I'd be further along.
    But I try to do fun things too.... I'm ashamed that I'm not as determined as others are with it.

    Even if I spend money on the process, say 50$, It barely completes a set to XIV, FORGET about ultra rares......
    Just how the heck is everyone getting those ultra rares anyways?!!! What am I doing wrong?!

    I craft beam upgrades, try to stockpile my r&d supplies but they only go so far.

    Then there are the things I CAN'T UPGRADE, like those unique herald torpedoes I got with my ships in the lockbox lotto.
    I'd really like to upgrade them too and not just dismiss them.
    I mean I can upgrade my spiral waves from the Cardassian Galor, so why not these torpedoes ?

    But as I've been constantly grinding upgrades out already, I appreciate any help with the process. So thanks for the weekend as it were.

    Just in time. There are a couple of things I need to get to epic and I have a glut of VR mats and dil (Thanks to the Mirror event) to do it.

    Or have I misunderstood the way upgrades work?

    The settings were the same last time. There was not Rarity Boost last event.

    I was waiting on something like this since last upgrade event. Guess it's time to log back in and make the very most of it, like the first time this event ever ran. The mirror event across too many toons is excessive, and isn't fun as it was with the changes and artificial timers and all, but now that this is on, I can't miss it.

    Real nice to see it happen again.

    I recall from the last time this event came around that the chance would be arranged so that it will be the same as if there is no event.

    I got a few items I can upgrade. So this will be nice. I will make good use out of it. I have lots of Dil stored up. Since the Dil market is too high for me to use. So I can use it for some upgrades.

    Hey, would you try putting this on the dang calendar in the future? I already upgraded a lot over the last week (about 30K Dil) specifically because nothing was on calendar coming up except for the R&D Boost. So yeah, thumbs down, bad move, knock it the hell off and start advertising more in advance dangit! Color me PISSED OFF.

    I agree. It is too short a notice. Put it on the calendar in the future.

    Knowing the event is a thing is enough incentive to save up. I'll never use a tech upgrade outside of this event again.

    But hey, let's be real... When don't players complain about everything.
    Hell, even when given things for free they complain, how sad. if you are going to complain, uninstall already.

      Maybe my bad for not checking a calendar somewhere; but I just used up most of my existing upgrades last week :/
