DOFF Research Lab Scientist will not slot for R&D task.

in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
I have submitted 2 tickets. Now I post on the forum. My Research Lab Scientist will not slot for a R&D task. I have tried 2 days in a row. There is room to put the DOFF on a R&D task. It is bound to my captain. I also tried to use it for an Active Space slot. It will not budge from the roster.

    Anyone have a suggestion? Doubt Cryptic wants to spend time on a doff bug. I'm not buying another doff if the same thing will happen.

    What R&D task are you trying to do? Which Doff is it, is it unique?​​

    Just an uncommon research lab scientist. Nothing special. Any of the tasks which require a research lab scientist. For example, Bonus Research XP (ground gear).

    You're joking right? A doff needs to be the same faction as the captain?

    Last I checked? Yeah. You can use your aligned factions' doffs if you're Romulan. But Fed and KDF boffs to not play well with each other.

    You can buy duty officers of other factions from the exchange. Although you can own them you can't use them in any assignments or R&D projects. However, you can contribute common doffs of the other factions to fleet projects, but that's pretty much all you can do with it.

    Whey buying doffs from the exchange check the box at the bottom middle of the window to show only items you can use, which means only doffs of your faction will show up while doffs for Romulans will show up for their faction as well as their allied faction. This option in the exchange only works for duty officers though and was put there a long time ago due to players constantly buying doffs for the wrong faction.

    It doesn't always work. I did check the box. It still offered the opposing faction uncommon doff.
