The technical problems suck from (my) an audience POV, I won't hide my feelings there!
But coming from a media production background, I know how hard it can be.
But I'll rather have an insightfull show with tech probs, than a show which has days of postpro but has nothing to say (and annoying hosts lately .... *whomightibetalkingabout*)
I have really warmed up to you guys, but - I have to say - especially Kam!
I don't know how you did it, Kam, but nowadays I always wait for YOUR opinion on a any new subject matter.
Which is, for me, diametrical to your gig at "Q2".
Keep it up!
My only source of complaint to the show would be - please more POV for "low" players like me.
If you could catch that, too, you guys could take over the STO podcast world.

Yes, I fully take the blame for the technical issues! Ever since our Chief Engineer left, problems have been springing up, and I have to use a sonic spanner as a hammer sometimes (cue Montgomery Scott).
As to other podcasts out there; I have nothing but respect for them. This thing isn't easy trying to match schedules, topics, research, obtain/bribe/kidnap/blackmail interviewers, prepare distribution, and managing BROADCAST ENGINEERING issues while wondering why the two audio channels that you had tested before decided to spawn a third one.... but I do this with a great group of co-hosts who are peers and not pawns, and the fantastic audience that we do this for covers the spectrum of players....
... which brings me to your final point. The "low" players typically aren't bad/unskilled players, but players who do not know their potential (or how to make it a reality). I personally believe that everyone who plays this game can be a great player with their favorite ship or gear, they just have to be willing to put forth the effort into learning what the capabilities are, and are willing to work toward improving themselves. With that mentality, we speak to everyone's potential. When we talk about bleeding edge DPS/Tanking/Healing, we state that. Otherwise, we talk to you as players who will reach a point in their gameplay where you will be able to challenge themselves and enjoy themselves simultaneously, in whatever aspect of the game that you care to engage in.
There are people (us included) willing to work with anyone, either in a 1-on-1 setting or in a group, to help you out of the "low" mentality. Each and every single member of The SHOW started out as a rookie in this game, and I am sure that all of us had a "low" mindset at some point in time (except, perhaps, SOB). Less than seven months ago, TimberWolf had a "low is me" mentality with his Oddy, and now, he's one of those "damnable DPS Elitists"!!! Allen of ZEF films, a Role Player who values Immersion, is also one of those "damnable DPS Elitists" now... ask him where he was five months ago. I, myself, was there just a tad over a year ago, trying to get back into a game that felt both familiar and unrecognizable to me. So, when we speak about M'Bagel's CHEAP DEEPZ series of very inexpensive ships that perform very well, about SARoss or Valikin covering piloting and general gameplay, and about IQ Fleet and Reddit Fleets on how they foster a community of people who help each other improve upon their own game (and have*gasp* FUN while doing it), we're addressing you and what your capable of doing.....
... then again, I am classified as a Casual Player, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
The SHOW's disappointment continues. I resent the insults thrown at ground combat in this episode. I also resent the suggestion that ground players want to pay upwards of 30M for kits. We don't. The lack of a ground player on the SHOW to counter the harmful suggestions by the presumably mostly space players is obvious.
DPS-Bronze, DPS-Silver, DPS-Gold, etc. are FAKE! They were created by an outvoted minority who destroyed the original DPS channels!
Tactical Team sucked, once upon a time. I got it buffed. Don't think for a minute that Cryptic ignores forum feedback.

I must have missed something here.... who insulted ground combat?

I don't see where we "insulted" ground players.
We are looking into getting someone to represent Ground on board.

We had an interview scheduled with one of the SubComms members, but RL got in the way for them, so we went with Plan B for that episode of The SHOW.

Thanks for listening!
I salute you, Oden, allmighty Spacepaladin! (Spaladin? ;-) )
I feel that you took my *complaint* point a little bit on the "Damm you, Elitists!"-side.
That is absolutely not how I meant it.
I was tired, maybe should have elaborated a little bit.
Quite the opposite is true:
I really like the Show, I think you guys have a great chemistry and - most important - you really *think* about the game first and then don't shy away from the hard questions and answers. Cudos!
(And I don't complain about being "low" - I just saw it as a realistic description.)
But I felt that most of the stuff you were talking about was out of my price range.
So my thought was "If only they could put their wisdom *also* to stuff on my level, I could really benefit!"
But now I realize, that I had only listened to the second part of the latest episode (since that was the newest vid on your channel) and you had some great general insight in the first half.
Keep it up!
P.S.:
I also fanboyed all over the new bundle announcement, then scratched my head around the stats announcement ... aaand - you just confirmed my instincts.
Laughing at jokes like this isn't how you encourage minorities (ground players, in this case) to join your cast.
Not that I have to spell this out, but.....
1:40:27 - SoB joking about how much ground he does (so little that his ground game is taking on the Exchange), and we joke about his exchange cheesiness. Before and after this, we talk about some of the ground items, specifically how good some of the Lobi items are. After this, we list a guide that discusses the various ground armors and benefits for each map.
Any "insults" were directed to SoB, with SoB taking the lead.
I'm personally looking forward to Tier 3 Terran Rep for ground.....
In one of those videos, or.. well not sure if I listened to that one live or not.. anyway, it was mentioned that there would be a link to a spreadsheet containing the herald lockbox item drop rates. Been checking to see if it made it's way onto any of the video descriptions but haven't found it. Is it out there somewhere?

My apologies if I forgot to include it. Let me get the link from MoneyBags.

Are you freaking serious? Some people seem to want to try and turn anything into some kind of perceived slight. That's pretty weak. Seriously.
