SCREEN DIMS AFTER COMING BACK TO GAME FROM BEING TABBED OUT

So before the patch today 10/27/15 I could run the game in max window setting and tab out whenever I want with no problems. After patch, when I tab out and come back, the game screen dims way down. The only fix I have found is hitting the brightness slider a little and that resets the colors.

I already posted this in the bug reports side, but here I would like to ask any of you if you are having similar problem to me and if you know any fixes I can do. I run Windows 7 with AMD Radeon R9 200 series video card also.

Interestingly enough, I experienced this this morning. Yet, in my case, since Tuesday's patch my Cryptic Error Report window kept popping up after directly exiting the game. So, I thought...perhaps I'll logout this time and then exit. When I did so, no Error Report window, but my desktop and browser windows were brighter. Think it went back to normal, after a while, of its own accord. Strange glitches really.

The game is dim if I change it to windowed mode. If I want to play the game at a proper brightness it has to be fullscreen.

If I alt+tab the game it automatically switches to a non-fullscreen mode and goes dim. If I switch back to the game I have to use alt+enter to change it back to fullscreen again to get it back at a proper brightness.

I thought it was like a driver issue or something wrong with my TV. So it's happening to you guys? You can test it if you go into the game options and find the part that changes it from fullscreen/windowed.

My room mate and I have the same issue. I've always run in window maximized and frequently tab out...never had this problem before Tuesday.

Now whenever tabbing out anything white on my screen is nearly blinding, yet when tabbing back in I find my brightness reset to the game default. A quick bump of the brightness slider up one notch and back down resets it to my setting.

Oh, that's what caused it. I thought I was going blind.

I'm also getting a super-dim view that now appears to be the new default. I can monkey with the slider and get it back to normal, but once I tab out or change maps, it's back to Dark Trek.

Not having that problem, but if I minimize the game to my taskbar, it wont re-expand again..

Ey yo I actually know what this problem (probably) is: Windows 8 and above come with a feature called "Adaptive Brightness," and while that used to mean that it would lighten or darken the screen based on a webcam or other light sensor, in Windows 8 and above it'll do it based on what's on your screen - it'll darken your lighting when you are looking at something dark or playing a dark game, and then when you switch to something bright it'll take a few seconds to go back to normal.

To fix this issue go to your power settings -> change plan settings -> advanced -> display -> enable adaptive brightness and set it to "Off."

If you are on a laptop make sure you unplug and plug your power back in after changing the settings.

Same thing here... Though I'm glad I'm not the only one, I'm disappointed there's an issue with it...

    It's off. Problem still there.

The Character Select Screen seems dimmer than before S11.

The only time I ever have this issue in Windows 7 is when I play full screen. For me, playing full screen windowed mode, has solved this issue. However, power saver features also play a role. I always run with them all off.

    /bind F7 gamma 1.0

    /bind F8 gamma 0.8

Now every time you enter the game press F7 and F8
