The 'Mime Wall' and screen resolution. I HATE mimes...

Every time I start the game I am unable to move the mouse past a certain point on all sides of the screen (top/bottom/left/right). Its like my mouse is trapped inside an invisible mime-wall.

I can only fix it by changing the resolution in full screen to something else. After that, I can return the resolution to the original setting and will work fine.

Anyone experiencing this? Is there a fix (im getting SO tired of this).

    Do you have this problem in borderless windowed mode?

    I have seen people with a similar problem in different MMOs. This might help, are you running a chat program in the background (specifically Skype), this program has on occasion severely restricted mouse movement in some MMOs. Closing it down may help.

    If i switch to any windowed mode I cannot change the resolution to anything higher than my desktop...therefore windowed mode is not an option.

    I've reinstalled drivers, changed every setting in STO I can think of and nothing.

    No, there is no chat window in background or anything of that sort.

    From what I am understanding, your game and desktop are running at different resolutions?
    Time is a funny thing; There is always too much of it. Except when you need it the most, then there is never enough.

    why not increase the resolution of your desktop? It doesn't hurt anything, and it's not like the game can run on a higher res then your desktop is capable of anyway, they should both be able to match whatever your monitor can dish out.

    I am experiencing the same problem... my game looks much much better running on Full Screen, but my mouse get trapped in an invisible box on the Left Hand corner of the screen. Maybe someone forgot to reset the mouse movement to the new screen resolution ? I tried starting the game in Full Screen but it doesn't work.. Graphics becomes enlarged and I can only see the Top Left Hand corner.

    I had a similar though slightly different issue with my work computer. It's running integrated graphics and the highest resolution in the game I could set and interact was 800x600. Mouse would move but could not click on any buttons on anything higher than that resolution.
