Unable to start game client: Success

Say what?
This is what I am seeing after patching the game and then engaging. The game doesn't launch, and the message "unable to start game client: success" shows up. I've even quit the game, restarted the launcher and tried again. While I am excited at the prospect of New Dawn, so far it's definitely a new patch day! Unless I am of course reading that the server is down and that's why the game isn't launching?

    Getting the same,,,,,re started and it just loads the patch again,,,,,,,server status green.

    Same thing happens to me too. Quite a success. Try again later, perhaps.

    I am stuck at the Patching... stage at the Launcher, and it never shows any other progress after no matter how long I wait

    Same here in the UK. What is it with new content patches. Could login into 10.5 for 5 days. literally.

    It's a new update, there's bound to be login issues. You aren't alone. Other people are posting about this too. It's expected with a new update.

    "Unable to start game client: Success" happens on the Mac OS. No problems running with Windows.

    Same here. Started a support ticket. They are aware of the issue and are working on it.

    Same problem here. Also submitted a support ticket. Looks like I am not getting the New Dawn final day giveaway of new T5 ships.

    I'm glad there's a thread about this, I've been pissed since yesterday. I even re-installed the game, reset the cache, changed the server, tried safe mode, and submitted a ticket. Of course Perfect World sent me a survey. I guess I'll wait.

    I have the same problem. Tryied several times but it doesn´t start. I then tried with a pc windows 7, download the 12gb launcher and IT WORKED PERFECTLY!. I guess it must be something evolving the Apple machines (I´m using a macbook pro i5 2010/8Gb RAM). Of course subbmit a ticket as well and probably they are working on it now... They have forgotten the mac users.... :( and we are many!!!

    There a quite a few mac users out there.., everyone I know at work uses one. With the popularity with iPhone and all apple products you would think Mac would be more supported in games.

    There a quite a few mac users out there.., everyone I know at work uses one. With the popularity with iPhone and all apple products you would think Mac would be more supported in games.

    You would think, but the thing is, Mac software is not designed or geared towards gaming and never has been. Which makes it far less appealing to developers to support, given the added costs of multi-platform support. Where as that is windows's main purpose, gaming.

    Macs make up for this with Bootcamp which allows you to run windows on a mac. However Bootcamp can be an expensive alternative. Given that windows is stupid expensive (sometimes $500-$600 for a copy). Also running windows on a mac, makes the mac susceptible to windows vulnerabilities (weak security, easily corruptible and hackable programming, viruses, etc), which makes it not very appealing to mac users even for gaming.

    However more and more people are using apple computers, though I think it will still be a while before those number reach a level that developers see Mac as a worthy platform to support.

    But where Cryptic decided to support mac play, they should have been dedicated to it, and not half assed it like they have. Cryptic's version of "mac support" is absolutely pathetic and sub par in quality.

    Yeah I am getting a little sick of NOT being able to play the game with all of these great giveaways and content updates. CRYPTIC.. let's hear something. Even if it's just a note that you're making progress on trying to figure out WHAT is wrong..

    What about the free give away? I was trying to login to receive this but of course I can't. Are we just out of luck!? and I pay on a monthly bases will we get a refund or our time extended?
