"No. Men do not roar. Women roar. Then they hurl heavy objects... and claw at you." -Worf, son of Mogh
"A filthy, mangy beast, but in its bony breast beat the heart of a warrior" - "faithful" (...) "but ever-ready to follow the call of the wild." - Martok, about a Targ
"That pig smelled horrid. A sweet-sour, extremely pungent odor. I showered and showered, and it took me a week to get rid of it!" - Robert Justman, appreciating Emmy-Lou
Different thing, but still about Cardassians. Those thick necks. Can it work? Does it not go at the expense of flexebility. Can do well look around, up and down? It looks to me that they behave as people wearing a neck bracelet.

I imagine their range of motion is not AS much as a human's, though we do see them in the show as being able to turn their heads some. Now where it gets interesting is when you consider that they don't have hearing quite as good as ours, which you would think means overall they are less adept at detecting threats from behind. Now personally I think additional senses, such as bioelectric, are a possibility, but there is nothing in canon about that so it's nothing more than a personal theory.

1: bioelectric senses work better in aquatic species.
2: I wouldn't pay too much attention to how much Cardassians moved in the TV show as well.... people wearing heavy makeup tend to be careful not to dislodge said makeup.

In my own headcanon, this is part of why I imagine it as VERY short-range--as in, needing to be within a yard or two at the most to pick up anything. Just enough, in other words, to let you know to turn around because someone is RIGHT behind you about to stab you in the back.

True of course, though I would expect there to at least be heavier tendons and cartilage involved in the Cardassian neck structure than with humans.

I like the fact they are starting to flesh out the cardassians a bit more make them more diverse could be the beggining of a later cardassian mini faction like the roms
I'm disappointed their armour doesn't fit better. Real armour (even the rubber stuff from the shows) should't bend like that.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

What I was going to say. Added to it is that it's nice to see more ladies in the game, even when they're trying to kill me.
scary precursor to the cardassians getting their own playable race?
Reptiles man...they are weird
Ha ha - yes indeed!
I agree, I don't care.
