Jem' Hadar dreadnaught carrier and bug ship pets?

Hi, I would really like to get this ship with the bug ship pets. Can you tell me my best way to get the in game money to do this. Can I convert real money into EC to purchase these ships? I would really appreciate some guidance on how to do this.

    The carrier itself is a Lobi store ship, I believe. No way to convert Lobi to EC, I'm afraid. You can only really get Lobi now by opening Lockboxes. Keys for them can be bought on the Exchange, however, so there's that.

    The Attack Ship pets, however, are a different story.

    Those can only be acquired after getting the actual playable Attack Ship. Those can only be acquired during specific promo events. You can also attempt to scour the Exchange for one, but they easily cost an almost prohibitive sum of EC.

    EC also can't be bought using IRL money.

    True, but fair warning to the OP: it's gonna take a lot of keys to go about it this way.

    Expect to pay $75 - 150 real world money for the Jem'Hadar Strike Ship or Attack Ship needed to get the frigate pets. That's buying lockbox keys and selling them on the exchange for 3.8 - 4 million EC each.

    My Fed Engineer uses polarons and the Jem'Hadar space set, but there's no way I'd spend $100 to use the JHDC properly when my Breen carrier + frigates was free (for 50 ice races).

    Yes, as other have said, getting the JHDC isnt the hard part, the hard part is getting the Attack Ship pets for it.
    They are still amongst the most expensive things in the game to get hold of. I've had a JHDC since around LOR launch and I still have yet to come even close to getting the frigate pets for it.

    So my best option to get the attack ship off the exchange is to buy and sell keys?

    Yes, it's the fastest way to get 300+ million EC.

    When selling single keys, split them apart in your inventory NOT by dropping the stack onto the exchange. People who do that seem to post threads here about how they accidentally sold 10 keys for 4 million total instead of 4 million EACH.

    there are a number of cheaper more efficiant meathods to gain ec however I am not the best person to talk about them. One meathod I can comment on however is tour the galaxy. Im not sure what the mission is currently paying out but back when i used to run it regularly it gave something in the ballpark of 500,000 for a perfect run. I recommend looking up youtube videos on how to run this mission to get the most out of it. Be aware the mission has a 20 hour CD

    I guess my last question is this set up really worth all of this in the wake of all the new stuff that's available now?

    That's up to you. Do you want to fly it because you like the looks and layout, or because you think it's the best? (It isn't.)

    The Breen carrier is T6 and great for science if you have it. The Tholian Recluse is still popular and you can get the elite pets for dil as long as you're in a high-level fleet. There will be a new Federation carrier soon, though it might not offer pets better than Delta Flyers. The Xindi-Aquatic can equip the Primate fighters with "scratch the paint" for less exploding.
