Its in a horrible almost unplayable state right now. Why not fix it? It has already got the graphical elements designed it just needs stat tweaks.
Please fix current buggy unplayable things before trying to milk more money out with new content.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Atrox doesn't have anything so special that it could be bugged. No console. No trait. No special baked-in gimmick. It's just a vanilla carrier. The only "unique" thing it has is Stalker fighters, and pets in general tend to suck so... unless they're failing to launch or something...

She still had all Mk XII equipment and can make 30k DPS even after the pet nerf.
Yes she turns like a planet, but with some planning you can obliterate that problem. A dil mine console, tach. Converters, a full pilot spec trees and she turns like a dream, especially once you learn how to handle the drift. (And the server doesn't lag you two light years past your target.)
The biggest thing to remember is that she is basically a Science ship who traded a secondary deflector/sensor analysis for a second hanger bay (although she could probably do with one or the other).
Watching all those glass cannons scatter and run while you stare down the ENT or Donatra absolutely certain that you will survive is very satisfying indeed.

Cutting beam, Thoron Rep Beam, Anti chroniton tet beam ( For set bonuses)
Easy 35K isa runs, happily turns with 13.1 turn rate, before solanae impulse bonus kicks in and traits warm up
Pretty much invincible due to hull and shields ( 900 shield regen/6 secs)
This is one of my Favorite ships in STO, and I do not feel that it has been left behind at all.
Considering how long I have had this ship, and the iterations it has been through, I can honestly say it has been the best C-store purchase I have made ship wise!
Add to that it is an amazing looking ship
