Can You Get A Kobali Samsar Cruiser?

Hi! I am curious is there any chance you can still get the Kobali Samsar Cruiser or is that a ONE time deal at the 2015 Anniversary? I e-mail STO & never got a answer back. You can not buy it not what I can see. I thought how in the world are you suppose to get it then? Correct me if I am wrong the consoles are part of the new ships to complete the Presidio, Concorde & Geneva Consoles. Also what about new players if they bought Presidio, Concorde & Geneva ships & they are thinking how am I suppose to get that console the Regenerative Integrity Field? This is why I am asking is that a ONE time deal? If so man that is plain WRONG because STO is cheating people out of a console. Now unless something I do not know please provide the info. please...Thanks...

P.S. I do realize it does say "This set will be revealed in the Anniversary Episode Rewards." Does that mean year after year or ONE time deal?

2.Complete the daily Omega Molecule Stabilization mission? Year after year or out of date?

    Currently a one time deal. Unknown if Cryptic will bring it back, though it has been highly requested. The Dyson Destroyer was a similar issue and that was added to the Lobi store later on, so who knows.

    Just be consoled that your lack of the Samsar is making someone happy through the pointless exclusivity of it.

    Used to be, about two years ago, you could work towards any ship that an event offered. So you could earn the Breen Raider and Breen Warship at the same time (on different characters). But, that was apparently discontinued at some point. :\

    It's kinda sad, actually, because as they added more options to those events, it did make it more interesting to chase after the ship that appealed to you, rather than just grinding for the same ship, even if the character didn't need that class.

    Missing a ship, I'm fine with but... when they add a new ship(s) months later and it gets a console set bonus w/ the missed ship is bad. The Samsar is such a case. It's console is the 4th to the Command Cruiser set. I'd guess there were plenty of players who would have gotten the Samsar if they had know that it's console was going to be included in a future ship's set.
    Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

    It wasn't months later. The announcement blogs for the Samsar and the Command BC set (I just checked) are dated less than three weeks apart (Jan 26 and Feb 11).

    And at that time it was already too late to begin grinding for that ship.

    I totally agree that this ship should be available in some form. Preferably slap it on the Fleet Research Spire at a T1 or T2 main holding level, but T3 could work as well. However sending it off to the lobi store will mean people will never be willing to grind for it, not the way they are willing to spend money for a discount fleet ship. With either a 200k FC prize or 20k and 3-4 fleet ship modules. This would in my opinion the fairest option, especially considering this ship does indeed have the one console to rule them a- errrr to complete the set.​​

    Tbh i wish they would stop this exclusive BS and let it first be a free earned ship that would be added to the C-store later so that everyone has a chance to get something they really want.

    But then again this IS cryptic and they love lotteries. :trollface:

    It was discontinued for this summer's seasonal event; only the new T6 Ferengi ship was offered, while previous Summer ships were not. The Winter event had three ships available (the 2012 and 2013 T5 ones as well as a new 2014 T6).

    At the same time though, those previously earned ships were converted into account-wide unlocks, which makes them available for new characters on old accounts. (You still need to have been playing at the time they were earnable and have earned it on at least one character, though.)

    The old anniversary ships have never been earnable again, though all of them excepting the Samsar are now available by other methods.

    The weird one is the Ambassador, that just got dumped into my C-Store promotions tab when I came back... not sure how that unlocked.

    It would be nice if they'd bring back the ability to start older event ships. Even if it was something like an LTS exclusive.

    While that may be true, it wasn't a lottery ship. They gave it away free to everyone for doing little more then just logging in.

    The only real problem I have with the Samsar is putting a set item console on a one time only ship. The console is really the only thing worth getting anyway. The ship itself isn't great and it's trait is worthless.

    It was given away earlier this year. They gave it away for free for 1 day if you logged in and claimed it. Perhaps you took advantage of that offer.

    I love the 4-piece set. That Tetryon console just melts the shields of everything around me.

    Do you think then more players might take advantage of limited time ships if their random TRIBBLE console might be part of a future set?

Best solution that retains the "uniqueness" and "you missed the event, tough luck" viewpoints that seem to be taking over the boards (and seems to be Salami's way of thinking, cause since he's taken over he's the one that pulled the ability to slot past year event ships and made it that after the event's over any incomplete projects evaporate) is to put that 4th console on the Lobi store, and leave the ship itself "exclusive"...
    Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

    Is there an equivalent of the freebie Obelisk in the fleet spire?

    the freebie oddy/bortas are available in the fleet shipyard.

    It has to have been more than one day. I got an email with the free T6 Galaxy, and found the t5 in the C-Store as a promotional. My significant other reinstalled her client a couple days later, and the t5 was still there. We'd both been gone long enough to get the freebie T6.

    I can only think LOBI myself. I mean why not you do have other ships in there as well...How else should it be earned then? Honesty! I think it is stupid how STO do that one time & that's it. Because it makes no sense at all for new players & players who missed it. You buy all three ships the Presidio, Concorde & Geneva. You got a Universal – Regenerative Integrity Field that you can not get it? Ummmmm...yeah, I would be mad to like really? That's stupid!

    Cryptic could have a new annual event where you get to grind out 1 old ship you missed. Maybe make it part of the anniversary event or find a 2 week period where there isn't some other event going on.

    They could be 'mean' and make it only do-able once per account per event or be 'nice' and make it per toon. People with many alts could grab every ship they missed in one event. Though I'm loath to say it, I think the 'mean' option actually sound better for keeping exclusivity of ships. The 'nice' way pretty much nukes any exclusivity. Make players choose what missed ship they want to get.

    Well... since you asked...

    Due to advertised decisions made prior to this year's Summer Event, the Summer Event ships were the "first" to fall under the "you missed it, you missed out" exclusivity policy of the current EP.

    As such, players were (and expected to be "are" in the future) not allowed to slot any of the "previous" Summer's event ships (specifically the Risian Corvette / Luxury Cruiser - now including the Ferengi Nandi)    .

    However, in an act of "kindness", Salami (the aforementioned EP) did allow anyone who had a previously slotted summer event ship the opportunity to complete said project during the 2015 summer event. He just prevented the slotting of "new" prior year event ships, and wiped all existing summer ship projects "off the boards" if they were incomplete at the end of the event.

    The current expectation is that the Winter '15-'16 event will be much the same. No slotting of any previous Breen ship (Chel Gret, Plek Bresh, Saar Theln), but anyone who has an "outstanding" Breen ship project will be granted the chance to complete it this winter, while also working on this year's ship. At the end of this winter, all outstanding winter event ships will be cleared from the boards and turned into "you were here this year exclusives"...

    Whaa Whaa I missed the event or was to lazy to do the event to earn the ship can I buy it?
    You people make me sick. You claim that those that EARNED the ship are elitiests because we took the time to do the event. You know what go F yourselves. If you don't do the event you don't get the ship how hard is that to figure out? Sure sell the console but if they do I hope the hell it is wicked pricey to teach you whiners a lesson.
