I am curious on why they did not give this escort a pilot/tac Boff. Maybe someone at PWE/Cryptic can explain this?? I do suggest PWE/Cryptic consider making the Ensign Boff slot universal. Like others in the community I strongly suggesting making one of the Boff slots a Pilot slot too.
Is the original MVAC getting a skin remastered update too, like the other ship previously?? If the older ship does not get an skin remastered like the other ship then I am going to highly disappointed.

I like it and will definitely buy it. Because Command on an escort is different. It breaks the mould a little and I am looking forward to seeing what can be done with it. And the design is superb!
So a big kudos to the devs from me!
Doesn't look like it will be my cup of tea.
I may purchase a T5 MVAE during a future sale, but that's purely because i want to do a build with a mirror escort with multi vector and the nadion bomb.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Well, at least I won't have any regrets on waiting to see what the T6 Defiant will be like now.
Just had a naughty thought: what if they used command on the T6 Defiant as well.

Wow, what a major disappointment. I was really looking forward to this ship, but this is just weak. You change hardly ANYTHING to this ship as it's hull and shield modifier are practically the same as the T5 version. On top of that, you give it COMMAND station, but not PILOTING!? In addition, you give it 3 seperate Tactical stations!? That's one of the BIGGEST reasons I hated the ship! It's pointless! Just get rid of the Ensign station and bump up the Lt. Tactical Station to Lt. Comander! Why wasn't that changed! And lastly, why are you forcing us to get the Fleet varient for the 5th Tactical console? The T6 Heavy Escort Carrier gets it as the ZEN version.
Seriously, this ship and the Heavy Escort Carrier seem backwards: why doesn't that ship get the Command station as it's more engineering based and this get the Piloting (or even Intelligence) as it seems for fighting solo? Way to go Cryptic.
Prediction based on this ship getting Command, which matches its T5 tertiary Engineering:
Patrol Escort: Intel
Star Cruiser: Pilot
Assault Cruiser: Intel
Deep Space Science Vessel: Pilot
Recon Science Vessel: Command
That would make all the "original" T5 ships fill interesting niche playstyles, instead of having more Pilot Escorts, Command Cruisers and Intel Science Vessel. Ignore the haters Cryptic, do it!
So this is a refitted newer version of the MVAE that "takes advantage of the Multi-Vector capabilities
of its predecessor" but apparently can't even separate if you don't use the MVA-console from the
T5 variant on it?
That, together with the crappy BOFF setup (Ensing Tac???) and no Pilot station has changed this
ship from an "instant buy" to a "pass" for me.
I have to agree. The Boff layout is horrible. The initial design of the Prometheus was already flawed with the mentioned 3 Tac Ensign slots. Cryptic you had a chance to fix the flaws by making one of 3 Tacs into a hybrid slot. Intel or Pilot would have made also more sense.
I was prepared to purchase my the ship and even level my Delta char but not if it keeps the proposed layout.
It is almost as if the "lead-designer" hates the game and the players and intentionally puts the worst possible layouts on ships. I predict another failed design, just like the Alita and the Resolute. Ships you almost never see in a STF.
This build has the gears turning in my head. I think those poo-pooing it need to use their imagination a bit more. There's a lot of potential here.
Three tact ensign seats makes a perfect fit for torp hy, tact team and kemocite... then turning the eng seat into a command hybrid allows for the addition of something like concentrate firepower or phalanx formation...
There is no shortage of options for a creative build on what was already a viable 40-50k ship as a T5U.
Darn, that MVAM just looks hilarious. The top aft portion of the ship is missing the "saucer" section, making it look like flying nacelles.
I'm a sucker for canon, and they got the MVAM right when they first introduced it, save for the main saucer's mini nacelles but now, it looks even more jarring.

Or take this from Reddit for a better example. That snub-nosed section just looks too dorky. It needs its saucer section back.
I rarely post comments but this I have to post a comment for this ship I honestly don`t see any reason why someone would prefer to buy this ship instead of any other escort now a good idea on making it interesting is to put the Lieutenant Tactical as a Lieutenant Universal slot this way people will actually thing that is worth buying.I am not against the Command idea although Intel or Pilot would fit better to an escort ship otherwise the ship is ok for an escort and the trait could give some interesting builds

It's a bug with the cannon Promy skin (if you look at it in-game and in the ship store at a shipyard, you can see there are holes where part of the beta section would be connected to the saucer while not separated) -- it's is being resolved. The Beta section of the Hestia is designed as pictured above, and that's not a bug.
P.S. I asked Gorngonzolla about the set bonus: 2-piece set bonus = MVAM console (which is only way Hestia can separate) + the Hestia console = +energy damage and +crit chance.
I bought the original Prometheus when it was released. I was never really impressed with that ship and soon gave it up for something better. This new version doesn't do anything for me, so I won't be buying it, but I've no ill feelings about the release, and am happy for those who like the ship and are now getting a T6 version. Congrats!
What makes me happiest about this, is the increased likelihood that other T5 ships will get re-released T6 versions. So I'll sit here and patiently wait for my T6 Vesta and T6 BoP.
Thanks.
You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.
Surprised it got Command over Pilot. I can definitely see how the flavor works for that, given it's a ship that spawns pets, but I feel like that wasn't enough in and of itself to override the practical sense of a Pilot seat on an Escort. Bit miffed I'm still stuck with an Ensign Tac slot, too, but I've been dealing with that for a long time now and I can continue to do so.
What bugs me more than anything is, the main reason I liked the ship before was it was without question a Tac/Sci ship. This iteration, however, balances that out. And while I'm all for ships that aren't over-specialized, you've sort of dulled what was the selling edge for me. Honestly just changing the Ensign Tac to Ensign Universal would fix this for me.
I'll be honest, given the issues I have with it, the only reason you're getting a sale from me is because I've got 3k zen stacked up from stipends and don't care enough about dilithium to spend it on that.
Rather worried about how the inevitable T6 Luna will turn out now, gotta admit.
The inclusion of special heat sinks and particle exciters allow the ship to vent dangerous plasma fire, causing plasma damage to nearby enemy ships. When separated in Multi-Vector Assault Mode, the separated sections of the ship will all ignite simultaneously. Using Command bridge officer abilities causes this plasma fire aura to "flare up" and cause even more damage to nearby enemies.
Sounds like another eye sore. Please be subtle. Subtle is good.

Sadly, too many players refuse to think beyond BFAW builds.
This really seems like the perfect ship to make into a tric-bomber.
I'm actually okay with with the Command seating. It'll be ideal when deploying ships in MVAM, whom will actually follow you and make a lot of the Command bridge officer powers handsomely pay off. -If- you have the MVAM console, that is.
The Ensign Tactical is a bit of a turn off. On one hand, using the engineering powers as command is going to make the ship possibly starved in engineering abilities, so, having it be universal would've been a boon. On the other hand, an extra tac station is another extra possible Superior Romulan Operative.
As a whole, the Hestia looks amazing as a T6 incarnation of the Prometheus. I do idly wonder if we have the possibility of changing the lower nacelles to be the same length as the upper ones... but it's not a biggie for me.
The biggest downer, though, is the appearance of Beta section. The chopped off nose section should have been noticed by QA, pointed out to the ShipDevs and fixed before it ever got to the blog. That it hasn't, I see as a huge failing for people supposedly very passionate about Star Trek; it's like shipping a ship with a warp nacelle missing. Since having seen this. I went from being a first-day buyer, to one whom will only buy it when shown that it is fixed.
Command would have been an interesting choice, if the MVAM pets didn't melt like snowflakes in a furnace.
And so many TAC stations. I guess it's for a build for those who don't want to use Reciprocity. And one to avoid for those that do have that trait. The Ensign station should have been an universal. And it would have been better if one of the Tactical stations was the hybrid.
Like the T6 Advanced Heavy Cruiser, they crippled the BOFF layout resulting in ships that only a hardcore fan will fly because they are so inefficient. So sad.
Owning the Fleet Upgraded Advanced escort, I do not think I will purchase this.
Hull and Shields are the same
Consoles are the same.
I would gain..
1 LtCmd Eng Boff skill ( or use Ens Lt LtCmd Command skills)
+5 Engine Power
A situational console that takes space
An added set bonus to go with MV Assult Mode console
New skin
I am not worried about the extra Boff slot, and command is not ideal
Console will probably be used a few times then dropped
Not that big a fan of the new skin, will probably stick to the Hephaestus Skin
Command specialization is no deal breaker, just use all eng. plenty of good stuff to slot. However, no ensign universal station is just idiotic, like the Resolute. Stat designer is CLUELESS! Why make some people angry when you can make all people happy?

3 Tac stations and the Command specialization has killed it for me.
Way's to put it right, easy!
Make the Ensign Tac station universal and change the Command station to either Intel or Pilot.
Could even give it a dual spec seat, like you know, the beloved lock box Bug ship's...
One ship down out of the three I am really looking forward to.
Just have the new Defiant and Galaxy Dreadnought left, and I prey they won't get the same treatment done to them.
The new Defiant already has an uphill struggle right off the bat, as it has to go up against the already established Intel Escort!
And we're like:
