in Star Trek Online General Discussion
just been taking a nice long break from STO after finishing the rep systems and CCA event and playing other games like STAR WARS THE OLD REPUBLIC will be coming back soon once the new episode is out and the new stf

    Ye, 2 years and its refreshing to explore it again on new toon. If I had more time, I would do a romulan toon, but....

    If you don't have one yet, it's totally worth donig at the expense of anythnig else in STO. The Romulan storyline has some of the best written missions IMO.​​

    Ah well, always wanted a sci officer in mogai and plasma rep weapons for style :D I may give it a shot.

    I'm still enjoying the long-distance, unbroken sector space. Top warp speed 9.97 makes it seem real. Use your transwarp sparingly.

    That or get out your Borg engines to fly at Warp 20 all the way across the Beta Quadrant, with periodic subspace jumps for even more speed.

    @Dalnar the sooner the better. :D

    Well, find a new hobby? If you haven't already. Plenty of options.

    I recommend leaving MMOs behind and trying something else. Witcher 3 was awesome. Unfortunately I don't know many good recent sci-fi games. Or maybe something else entirely. Basketweaving? Dancing? Karate?​​

    As far as it goes for MMOs, very few are worth playing: STO isn't one of them since a long time. It's a multiplayer game with no multiplayer and endless addition of repetitive content with zero importance for game mechanics balance. Airlocked. For the rest I've got enough things to do and play; there's Steam, there's PS, you name them.

    No idea of what basketweaving is (read: had to google it), I suck at dancing, did Judo but dropped it.

    Anyways, try Geocaching. Geocaching.com has PvP (rabid cachers trying to be First to Find a new cache) and an active, argumentative forum. Also, while a Premium Membership for a year costs less than a Fleet T6 ship, it has PTW.

    I'm having a break too currently. I'll probably get back when they introduce ship from signature :D And in the meantime I've started playing Defiance which seems fun enough so far.
