So it's now two days of not being able to log in due to STO's issues.

I really hope that Cryptic extends CC event. It is horrible that out of all the games on ARC this is the one I have problems playing due to the horrific lag, sttuter, rubber banding and out right being unable to connect to the game server/ I have 4 toons that I still have two runs of CC to do for the goodies. I have no problems logging into NW,PWI,Swordsman, etc. . It's always STO where problems come up. Trendy needs to get out the whip and straighten the code monkeys out!

From a thread on the Neverwinter forums:

    Update, 2015-08-30 @ 3:20pm PDT:

Hey folks! I just got an update. It's not what we want to hear but at least it means they have found the issue! The connection issue has been pinpointed to being an issue on the Internet Service Provider that the Cryptic Servers connect to and through. Alas, this means the Tech Team and Developers cannot resolve the issue, so we are now waiting for our ISP to correct the issue. We do apologize it has taken so long to find the cause but at least now the wheels are in motion to get this resolved.

Please feel free to continue to vent about this issue and use this linked thread to discuss it. We'll keep you all posted in this Sticky and in that thread.

    Update, 2015-08-29 @ 6:30pm PDT

Sorry, not much to update. All I know is that the server issues from the past few days and up to this point have not been entirely Cryptic's fault. From what I can make out on commentary, there's currently issues out of Cryptic's control causing issues on Cryptic's Network that cannot be resolved properly until the aforementioned issues out of their control are also resolved. Prior to today, it's been the Level3 issues affecting so much of the World and then on into today it was the remaining Boston area Level3 issues and now into whatever else is causing issues.

Rest assured, the Tech Team is looking into things and doing what they can. Please continue to use this thread to post about and vent about these connection issues. Thanks!

    Update, 2015-08-29 @ 9:13pm PDT

There are not any more apparent Server Issues the Tech Team can readily find. They are continuing to monitor and look for any possible issues however. So, please continue providing Tracerts in the above linked thread. Thanks!

Something's incredibly wrong with your traceroute. How are you geting 10.x.x.x IPs once you hit the internet? Those aren't publicaly routable once they leave your private network.

192.168 is probably assigned by his local router. 10.x is probably his ISP. You can have nested private networks.

Sure, but trace indicates he's getting echo responses from 10.x.x.x machines after hitting the public internet and even up to just before Cryptic's server. That's not possible as those packets won't route in the public internet.

East coast not that far from Boston where it seems all the problems arise from. Boston's infrastructure is horrible as far as net traffic goes. I can tell exactly what time it is by how much my service slows when running things that route through Boston.

Pacific Northwest reporting in. Running just fine.

Sounds like another case of Cogent shenanigans.

Pacific NW, in WA Cascades. Unable to log in for 4 days. Finally able to log in 0200 Monday morning. All working fine now.

No log in, no play, no R&D, no benefits, no fun, no STO.

At least WoW was working at full tilt.
